great communication and direction to find the property, lovely grounds, plenty parking and very secure. The apartment was well furnished and very comfortable and cosy when cold outside.

Only basic facilities no book on how everything worked

Property is a little tired and the finish was not up to the standard expected within this price range. Concrete floors are good for keeping cool in summer but with no central heating it took two days to warm up using the two electric stand alone heaters.

Only a minimal supply of coffee pods (2) List of what is there and what is not would help? Heating was a challenge - two fan heaters took off the chill , but hopefully the CH will be in evidence during the winter? Met the owner - very pleasant conversation. It is known that ortho mattresses can take more than a week to get used to. I found it difficult to sleep for the first two nights - a sprung mattress might be a better solution?

Lovely surroundings with expansive private grounds to walk in. Location convenient for main road but very quiet.

Ideal location for want we wanted (Newark showground) and a bit of tourism in Lincoln and Newark on Trent. Very quiet, beautiful setting, apartment was perfect in a lovely old building. Bed was very comfortable, and apartment was tastefully furnished. Even though it was very hot outside (34C), the apartment stayed lovely and cool . Parking was outside. Would love to know the story of the gorilla statue on the drive up and the red telephone booth in the gardens.

The soap bar could have been a bit bigger, it kept slipping out of our hands. Maybe a bath gel dispenser would be better.

The setting was fabulous, nicest surroundings I've ever seen in a place I've stayed. Incredibly quiet and peaceful.

Apartment was large and had a nice airy feel but could be amazing with totally updated decor in ALL rooms as had a bit of an outdated 90's vibe, glass coffee table nearly caused a few accidents!! Lethal.

found the back frosted window in the lounge a bit oppressive and on the first night there was a strange bright flashing light in the grounds at the back of the property which was somewhat disturbing but fortunately didn’t continue after that night.

the property was exceptionally clean and had fantastic beds. if travelling to the Newark showground it is easily within reach.

the property is tired looking with some money needing spent of carpets and fittings in both the communal areas and in the flat itself . it is a bit of a conundrum that the property is quite tired but the beds are fantastic. Its an old property, although not cold, did feel slightly damp although no evidence of this in the property. its not a bad property just not a good one.

It’s in an excellent location for Newark Showground, and is a lovely period property in secluded surroundings. I appreciated the decently equipped kitchen with nice touches such as providing aluminium foil, washing-up liquid, and coasters. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the bed linen and towels were lovely.

As is often the case with period properties, the television and Wi-Fi reception was erratic. It was occasionally noisy with doors slamming and workmen shouting.

The bed was exceptional! Great location for what we needed. Super quiet and the host was a delight. Will stay again when back up in the area.

The shower pressure was a little lacklustre, although the bath was ok!

Maybe a bit more character in the room ie lots of wall space and interesting pictures or posters etc can make a big difference.
