Beautiful location . All the rooms were elegantly tasteful with many character features . Charming and very welcoming owner and attentive staff. Terrific breakfast . Couldn’t have asked for more…. Except to have been able to stay a little longer.

There was nothing not to like

Pretty much everything was wonderful. The property is magnificent and maintained to a very high standard. The rooms are splendid and beautifully appointed. Opulent and welcoming. The lounge had breathtaking views down the valley towards Selworthy. The grounds around the Hall provide magnificent views of thew surrounding areas in many directions and also provide lovely walking. We both had a spa treatment whilst staying and both were wonderful. Very relaxing, and done by a very pleasant therapist. Highly recommended! The honesty system also warrants a mention. An honesty bar and evening cheese and biscuits was a lovely touch. And prices were all reasonable. Sat outside on the terrace on the warm Saturday evening with a G&T and cheese board was one of the highlights of our stay.

Only a very minor quibble, and nothing that spoiled our stay, really. The poached egg for my wife's breakfast wasn't runny, and the beans in my full english were barely warm. Apart from these too minor points, the rest of the breakfast was actually superb, and delicious, and hot. And incredibly generous, with lots of cereal, fruit, and french pastry options. May just have been a slight wobble on the day. It certainly wouldn't stop us from staying again, and we shall. Probably with friends as we've been praising the Hall to all of them.

Beautiful setting. Amazing breakfasts.

A gem of a place to stay - a charming 19th-century manor house that really feels like home. The owner is warm, friendly, and passionate about creating great experiences. Our room was large and very comfortable, with stunning views and a really good bed. The views down to the coast are stunning, and the grounds are well worth wandering around and exploring. They provided one of the best breakfasts we had on our trip - as vegetarians we were very well catered for. Minehead is about 12 minutes drive away, Porlock a fraction more. Dunster village and castle are less than 15 mins drive away. There's an EV charger on site, which served us very well (but is quite slow - best to plug in overnight)

Our bathroom was private, but wasn't en suite - we had to dash across the hall. Not remotely a problem, since there was no one around, and the bathroom itself was spacious and perfectly nice. I would love it if they could offer evening meals, but Minehead and Porlock are nearby, and there are some snacks (cheese, biscuits, olives) available

The location was scary in that there is only one lane traffic (and we met a removal van!) However it was stunning scenery, beautiful location and magnificent views of the sea/coast one way with the countryside the other way. It was very peaceful, quiet and private. Sadly it was too cold to spend much time outside, but the views were as good from our room. We had to cross the corridor to the bathroom, but it was a lovely bath we enjoyed and saw no one going to and fro. The breakfast was absolutely superb.

The only suggestion is I think they could let one have a bottle of tonic water and one snack in with the price (not cheap, but the ones provided in the room did not work for me.) Also we tried to get a nice hot drink early the next morning, but their machine was not switched on and even then we would not know how to work it. Otherwise stellar!

Superb location with amazing views. Comfortable, spacious room with comfortable bed. The structure was all in top quality materials, and the decor and furnishings also quality and in excellent taste. Very good freshly prepared breakfasts in an elegant dining room.

Wonderful room and building.

Everything was “Quality” with a capital “Q”. The Hosts were friendly and very accommodating to every request. All of the staff were very pleasant. Everything done professionally. We would not hesitate to recommend this fine establishment.

A beautiful house in a wonderful location. Was so peaceful, calming and relaxed, it felt like staying in a very hospitable relatives country pile rather than a hotel. Our dog friendly room (Embercombe) was immaculate and spacious, with lovely views to the sea. Unfortunately, booking.com assigned us a non dog-friendly room initially so best to book directly with the hotel if you need a dog friendly room - I was lucky they were able to switch our booking when the problem came to light.

Beautiful location and the house is very grand and lovey. Warm welcome and gorgeous room, very quiet and comfortable. The view from the terrace is just breath talking, truly a place to unwind and relax.

Absolutely gorgeous location, nice views from terrace, lounges and room. Excellent breakfast (full, veg, fresh fruits, …). Bar with vine, spirits, beer. Coffee, tea snacks, cheese available around the clock. Very well maintained house, special little features, spacious. Owners are very friendly, chatty and helpful. We loved every second of our stay. Next time definitely much longer!

Every aspect of Bossington Hall was fabulous. Breakfast was wonderful. The grounds immaculate. Absolutely charming place. Go see for yourself.

Absolutely nothing.

Fantastic breakfast. Staff couldn't have been more helpful and the location is simply stunning.

The parking facilities can a bit awkward. Reversing out needs some care, so get someone to see you out if you don't have a reversing camera. Apart from that, it's wonderful.

Bossington Hall is a real hidden little gem and we were lucky enough to find it! Perfect location. Everything was a match, comfortable room with amazing view and nature sounds, delicious breakfast with fresh fruits and yummy croissants, self-catering dinner options and Guy is a very courteous host.

The breakfast really was exceptionally good. A very good choice of fruits, cereals, croissants and juices followed by a very good range of cooked breakfasts. The view from my bedroom of the sea was quite wonderful. I had a very pleasant stay.

Nothing at all

Apartment is spacious, has a fully equipped kitchen you could cook a family meal in and bed very comfy. The location is perfect for visiting this part of the country.
