Pretty cool old school. Really great spot to stay if fishing the Cumberland river or hatchery creek.

10 nearly a 11 a old fishing movie,Denise an everyone made us feel right at home an the property was nice to. lol

The only issue I had was that the AC didn’t go any lower than 76 degrees. Otherwise, it was a beautiful property and a comfortable stay.

As two retired school teachers we loved being in an elementary school. Check in was easy and our host, Denise, was friendly and helpful. Rooms were large and worked great. We used the coin laundry, and the kitchen, especially the large refrigerator nd the keriug. Will be returnibg soon we hope!

The absolute best VRBO experience! 5 stars all the way! If you want a rural elementary school experience with all the modern day amenities then - THIS IS IT! The hosts (Denise and Jim) were the most gracious and welcoming couple anyone could ask for! If you need to stay on the south end of Russell County for Lake Cumberland activities or vacation - this is by far the most accommodating in that area! Beautifully and tastefully renovated classrooms turn your stay into an oasis. Classroom 2 is perfect if your traveling with children, since there’s two rooms with 2 queen beds in one room and 1 queen bed in the other room. Modern kitchen amenities make it perfect for bringing your own food (since there aren’t many restaurants on the south end). Board games abound in the foyer for rainy lake days. Ample parking make bringing a boat easy with flat parking and easy road access. A true historical treasure and unique experience you don’t want to miss!

After 8 hour drive we found this place very relaxing before getting on houseboat. Denise was very accommodating with 11 of us.

Loved the place and we will definitely be back with our boys! (Especially if the rec room/gym is available to everyone!) Loved the charm.

I really enjoyed my stay. Being a former principal, it was fun to stay in a converted school. Everything was very nice and the hosts were more than gracious. I’ll be back!

Wasn’t sure what to expect….. pleasant surprise! Denise was great! We really enjoyed our stay. The community kitchen was nice. Perfect place for us fly fishermen. Early bed and early rise.

Host was welcoming and friendly. Room was comfy and clean.

Denise is super easy to work with. Great accommodations for what we needed. It’s nice to have a kitchen and eating area. Fit our big group comfortably. About 20-30 minutes from Jamestown Marina if you’re boating.

It was farther away from Jamestown than we thought but the country was beautiful and very peaceful. The suite was fine. We appreciated the basket of breakfast goodies (prewrapped, which was nice). The kitchen/dining area was very nice so the adults could get a break from the preteen :)
