Once you got over feeling like you were breaking into someone’s back garden, this place was exceptional. Pre-arrival communication was fabulous and details of key and gate codes, where to park etc were spot on. From entering the gate to the back garden, you were greeted by a little paradise that betrayed its proximity to a major city centre. The accommodation was more than I expected it would be. Very modern, clean and cosy. The bed was made up when I arrived and after a G&T outside next to the koi pond, I curled up on it with a film on the tv. The heater worked wonders to take the chill off and as I’d taken a microwave meal for tea, I made use of the fully stocked kitchen facilities. Everything had been thought of from tea cups to wine glasses, crockery & cutlery, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, wi-fi and charging points for phones etc. the accommodation was large enough for a couple (maybe even with a small child) and I could quite happily have spent a few days here rather than just the one night. My daughter regularly visits a friend in Newcastle and I usually book a city centre hotel while she stays at her friends house after our drive up. I will definitely book here again!

It's quite a walk in to the town, most would need taxi or metro.

spacious outdoor private place for us, your kids can play around, there is a beautiful fish pool and sofa for your family.

It is perfect if the room is bigger.

We couldn't have asked for our stay to be any better, tropical house was incredibly clean and had everything we needed. Host couldn't have been friendlier or more informitive!

Ryan was a great Host from the communication before arriving to him kindly picking us up from the train station and dropping us back off for a reasonable price which even on top of the booking fee was still less than a hotel in the City Centre. Ryan couldn't have been more helpful and we will definitely be booking to stay again anytime we're visiting Newcastle

Comfy beds, well equipped and easy to find! The two of us were at an event in the sport centre down the road and it was great to be able to get back and relax. Great communication too, didn't need for anything!

The shower was nice

1 double and 2 single-ish beds crammed into a converted shed.. No cooker just a microwave and a kettle.. Not big enough for 4 adults which is what our party consisted of..

everything is amazing we especially loved the koi pond but all the garden is amazing. The inside of the guest house is lovely and clean with all amenities you could need. the shower was hot. there is a smart tv and Wi-Fi, honestly can’t complain at all. we had a lovely night and spent the morning sitting outside with our cuppas listening to koi pond. Ryan is the most welcoming and helpful host and even offers a ride service for £10 into the town, to which I used and he had bottles of water waiting for us in the car. The guest house feels like an oasis you would never guess you were in someone’s back garden.

it wasn’t what I expected.

Large outdoor space Secure space with key to lock garden. Comfy sofa bed Close to city centre. Cheap stay Made the most of the space Nice comfy blankets, pillows, nicely decorated inside. Late checkout 12pm.

Outside could do with some new grass and slabs. Seemed a little run down. Couldn't sleep as when we went to bed, moths flying about everywhere, lots of them everywhere so wld advise making sure the door is closed of outside. Noisy cars outside at 12pm at nite. Area is abit run down, wouldn't say residential area. Went to chip shop at end of street and it was awful, so bad we had to put everything in the bin. Even the chips were brown! So would avoid!! Fridge inside and out cld have been cleaned and we had dead moths in the microwave. We stayed for 2 nights but 1 would have been enough.

I loved how quiet and peaceful the accommodation was. The carp pond was unique and we were able to play table football in the garden. The beds were so comfy and the shower was excellent. The host was very welcoming. The location was perfect for the Freeman Hospital.

It was lovely. Could do with some real milk and English teabags.

I expected a decent bed not a sofa bed with another bed jammed in beside it was very difficult to get in or out but the worst. Thing was the bathroom with 2 very awkward steps my husband fell down these steps has hurt his back we also had 5 large bees in kitchen

The beds get proper bed and some comfortable seating The bathroom not used to not being able to put toilet tissue in toilet and the steps to bathroom dangerous also so many electric extensions not safe
