Hospitality was great when you entered the cottage they had blueberry muffins that were delicious the art work was awesome what a wonderful place to get away I would recommend to stay at Shearwater cottage

We went for a weekend getaway and the cottage was perfect. The view of the water was so peaceful. The host made sure we had everything we needed. The muffins and snacks were perfect. We will be back.

What a beautiful hidden gem! This cozy cottage is so close to downtown yet seems so far away. With great views of the water. We enjoyed walks along the path through the live oak trees down to the pier. You can see beautiful sunsets and at night an amazing view of the city light across the sound.We will definitely be back!

Nice cabin very clean and quiet area a+

What a perfectly situated and quaint property this was. It felt like home. To wake up every morning with the view of the water and just the property itself was well worth it. It’s very close to government Street but yet far enough a way to have some isolation from the traffic. I would highly recommend this property.

My wife and I had a lovely four-day stay at the Shearwood Cottage overlooking Biloxi Bay in Ocean Springs. This cottage was cozy, comfortable, quiet, and very clean. We were impressed by the attention to detail that went into the construction and maintenance of this cottage, like small stained glass windows in walls and original paintings and other art work. The owners were easy to work with and even stopped by upon our arrival to see if we had any questions. We will definitely try to return the next time we visit Ocean Springs.

We’ve stayed in many, many VRBOs, both domestic and international, and this adorable, quiet, little cottage ranks at the top! It’s set in a beautiful location and it’s even better in person than the pictures. Every little detail was thought of and provided. Homemade muffins, fire pit ready for a match, coffee, interesting books, and all the kitchen conveniences needed for a wonderful stay! The patio and front porch were favorite spots for us, as well as the comfy living room area. Don and Leigh Ann were very helpful with restaurant suggestions and hospitable in every way! We will definitely be back!

Amazing we had a blast!

If you are looking for a true Mississippi experience with the bells and whistles, look no more! The family history, artwork, front porch, and lastly the beautiful design of the cottage…I could have stayed here forever! The owner Donald was wonderful! Not only did they leave fresh baked banana nut muffins in the cottage for us, Donald communicated with us and made sure our stay was perfect! The decor was astounding and I can’t say enough about the bed! I haven’t slept that well in a very long time! Having coffee on the front porch under the magnolia tree looking at out the water, and watching the blue birds and cardinals play was priceless! Thank you again Donald! See you soon in Mississippi!

Weekend getaway

Everything about this property exceeded expectations. From the comfortable accommodations to the lovely view of the gulf and the graciousness of the hosts there was nothing left to be desired. Everything was provided that we could possibly need. The quaint cabin was spotless and tastefully decorated with local art, many items having been framed by the host himself. The furnishing were clean and comfortable. The wifi worked great. We were within easy walking distance to beaches, the downtown area, wonderful restaurants, museums and places of historic interest. We highly recommend this property and hope to return in the future.

The cottage is recently built, beautifully designed and decorated. Nice view of the water from the porch and a short walk to the waters edge. Host is friendly and very knowledgeable with local history and recommendations. Cottage is stocked with everything you need, plenty of towels and all the kitchen stuff you could need. You will not be disappointed. Nicest place to stay in Ocean Springs. We will be back as soon as we can.

The cottage was a beautiful oasis in Ocean Springs. The art and furniture were beautiful. Each piece has a story behind it. It was southern hospitality at its finest!

It's conveniently located just a short ride to the beach as well as all of the fun shops, museums and restaurants downtown. We had a very relaxing weekend and really enjoyed the views. All of our expectations were exceeded and we would definitely recommend staying here!

Very gracious hosts. Well kept. Nice view and quiet. Also there is a lot to see and do. A very historic city. We are pleased we chose to vacation here.

We had such a wonderful stay at this gorgeous little cottage. The hosts were extremely helpful and kind with check in. They asked the age of the children and set up a coloring station with copies of great pictures to color that the host drew. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.
