Really nice house. Great pool. Host was very responsive to a few minor issues (like no internet for a day). Overall a wonderful stay.

The property was very nice with the exception of the quality of the beds, particularly the ones on the main floor. The bed closest to the pool is only usable by one person as it is so noisy if you move at all. For such a nice house they need to invest in new beds.

The property is just as described and, most notably, was clean. It is easily walkable to the beach. Close proximity to restaurants. Property manager readily accessible. The hot tub jets are the strongest I've ever experienced- loved them!

This property is exactly what is depicted on the VRBO site. Plenty of room for a group of 12. It certainly gives you the “beachy vibe”. Location is great. I cannot say enough about this property, and would definitely recommend it without hesitation!! Thank you Tynar Vacations for making this a wonderful vacation for my family and friends!!!

This beautifully appointed home provided a warm and spacious environment for our family of seven adults. We have stayed at many beach locations in Florida, North Carolina, and Virginia, and can honestly say that this was the best by far!
As others have noted, the home was immaculate, inside and out, including the pool and sauna.
We would readily rent this home again☺️

We would definitely stay at Happy Retreat again. My family all enjoyed the house, the pool and the location. A two minute walk to a gorgeous beach. Close to shopping on Flagler Avenue shopping. So much room in the house which had toys for pool and beach and a pop up tent, chairs and umbrellas.
The pool and hot tub were a big hit even though we had to pay extra to heat it. November temps just didn’t warm it up for the kiddos! Also, the property management were very responsive.
You won’t be disappointed!..we loved it❤️

This home was exactly as advertised but somehow better in person. I’ve truly never had such an amazing experience like I did staying here. Every bed was comfortable and every corner of the house was cleaned. It felt like a home away from home. The air hockey table was a nice surprise and such a fun addition for the weekend too.
I can’t sing your praises enough. Keep doing what you’re doing. You’ve created a memorable birthday weekend for not only me but my family and friends that will last a lifetime. I’ve received countless messages saying how perfect the weekend was and that all starts with the roof over our head all weekend.
Thank you thank you thank you. I will absolutely stay at Happy Island Retreat or another property of yours again in a heartbeat!

The house is beautiful and spacious. The pool and hot tub were great, with the pool being a nice temperature and well maintained. There was even a small air hockey table that was really fun!
They provided every kind of beach gear/pool toys that you could need! Plenty of beach towels, beach chairs, coolers, shade tents, floaties, pool noodles, sand toys and boogie boards (and a full size surf board!). They even have a wagon to cart it all down to the beach.
The beach is so beautiful, and not crowded near the house. The access stairway is less than a two minute walk from the house.
I was initially worried about crossing the major road to get the beach, but there was a crosswalk at the end of the block, and most cars stopped for pedestrians.
Property management was super responsive and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!

A group of our families had the pleasure of staying at Happy Island Retreat and couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The owners were very responsive and incredibly accommodating, even before our vacation started! Once we arrived the house was clean, stocked with basic necessities and everything we needed to make us and our families feel right at home. The house is perfect for all guests, but it was especially welcoming for a group with children. Kids loved the pool area and the beach is a short few minute walk across the street. We plan on making this trip a reoccurring event and can only hope we get to stay at one of their properties again!

This house is BEAUTIFUL! From the moment we pulled in the drive way. The Host was quickly responsive to any questions or concerns. He made sure to let us know to enjoy the home after every time we ended a conversation. Very respectful. Our kids stayed in the pool from the time we got there till quite time EVERYDAY. It was more than enough room for us. we definitely enjoyed ourselves and wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Thank you!

This property would be perfect for a family gathering. Plenty of space, clean and well appointed. Minutes from the grocery store and a 3 minute walk to the beach. What more could you ask for? Thank you for your hospitality!

House was beautiful. Different layout of the upstairs bedrooms but it worked for us. Pool and spa were beautiful. We felt safe and secure while hurricane Nicole hit New Smyrna Beach. Communication with the owners were top notch. They responded promptly and answered all our silly questions and reassured us during the storm, even checking on us the next day! They brought some games and things for the grandchildren ages 2-4 to do to occupy their time during the hurricane. My only suggestion for improvement would be more chairs around the table. We had 9 and couldn’t all sit together. Other than that they had everything and more than we needed. Our family vacation was fabulous! Thank you

This house was the best property we have ever stayed in. It was stocked with absolutely everything from the kitchen to the beach toys, boogie boards, sunblock, first aid kit. You name it they had it. Property manager was responding within 10 minutes to any needs. House temp won’t go below 71 which I was worried about but the house was quite cool. And no need for any lower. The house was clean, the beds were comfy. The pool is amazing. The outdoor space is comfortable and relaxing. If I had one complaint the only thing would be the shower heads do not have enough water pressure but that is the only thing I could complain about. Just so happy with our stay and we will definitely be back.

This place was perfect for us. When we wanted a break from the beautiful beach we stayed at the house. It was perfect entertainment for the six kids that were with us. I have to say the beach here was the best I have been to. It was nice and shallow for the littles to play in. And the bigger waves were not too big for the bigger kids to play in. The house was clean and had plenty of space for all of us. It had basically everything we could have needed for the beach. We brought plenty of stuff to spend a couple days on the beach. Almost everything we brought was already there! We don’t usually go to the same place every year- we just might after this!

We were gathering as a family prior to our son In law being deployed with the army to the middle east for a year. In addition, celebrating he and our daughters 10 year wedding anniversary. It was a beautiful home for us to gather and make great memories.

Awesome weekend
This property is beautiful, clean and very close to the beach. We were there for a girls weekend to celebrate a friends birthday. The place was big enough for 11 people. The kitchen was well stocked with ice machine and coffee makers. There were beach chairs and umbrellas. We were so impressed we would rent again without questions. Thank you!!!!

The photos don’t do it justice! This was the perfect house and had everything we needed. Lots of kitchen utensils, extremely clean, and so close to the beach! The ice machine was a great surprise!!! We had an amazing time and hope to return!

Spring Break 2022
We enjoyed our stay at Happy Island Retreat! Location is great, easy walk to beach, Flagler Ave. and Canal Street have good restaurants and shops. The house is very clean, comfortable and accommodated our families well. The host was easy to reach, quick to respond and eager to make our vacation trouble free. We would definitely return.

Overall, a good experience. The back yard needed to be tidied up. Pool and hot tub were great. House was nice but nothing great in this price range. The value for the dollar was less than I expected.

We stayed with a large group of friends at this beautiful home. It never felt crowded to us and we were able to have a great time despite rainy weather. The pool was phenomenal as well as the hot tub too. There is a gas fee to heat the pool but we ended up not needing to do so with the 60 degree weather being sufficient.
The owner was great and communicated efficiently and professionally. We will stay again when the price is right !
