It was a great stay. I my wife and I had a great time. The backyard was amazing to just relax underneath the oak tree. The location is a short stay to town for all the activities. We thank you again for making our stay the best that I can be. Will be staying here again in the future.

We spent the weekend at Honey Bear Cottage in Idlwylld, CA. Great location - just a few minutes walk to the town where there are a number of wonderful restaurants, bakeries, shopping, music, etc. Cottage was lovely and as described. Enjoyed coffee on deck in the morning and stargazing in the evening. Hosts Elena and Harold were welcoming and thoughtful and ensured our stay was as comfortable as possible.

Honey Bear Cottage,is one of the best homes I’ve ever rented for a vacation stay. I would highly recommend this home to anyone.This home is very cozy and comfortable. Honey Bear Cottage was absolutely spotless. Everything was thoughtfully prepared. Even the yard has been given a welcoming charm. There’s an adorable child’s garden with tree fairies. Made me wish I was a child again.

My family had a great stay at this cozy cabin. It is very conveniently located near downtown and Idyllwild Park. Clean, very comfortable with cozy details and a nicely stocked kitchen. Our dog especially loved the large fenced in yard where she could explore, and we enjoyed reading in the various outdoor seating areas as well as playing horseshoes. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

This was the perfect cottage for a perfect weekend. Cozy cottage with plenty of room inside, board games to play, and a nice bear theme throughout. The back yard was large and had plenty of room for snow play. Our kid didn't want to leave and asked if we could just stay forever.

This adorable cabin was perfect for a quick getaway. It would have been so wonderful to stay longer, but we had other obligations back home. The cabin is located on a quiet street, so although it was close to town, it did not feel like it. We were able to walk into town and back with ease. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were very comfortable, and the living room was cozy. We thoroughly enjoyed the fireplace and the abundance of firewood that we could use. The instructions regarding the house were very clear and we had no problems checking in and out. Our dogs loved the large backyard and did not want to stop running around and playing. We would definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises!

Loved our time spent at the Honeybear. It felt like home. The kitchen was well stocked for all of your cooking needs, the bedrooms were cozy and comfy (plenty of warm soft bedding, pillows and fluffy towels), and the fireplace had all the wood we needed for our stay. The weather took a turn while we were there but we didn't care. We spent our time playing games and puzzles (well stocked thank you), cooking and watching movies on the smart TV. The cabin has all the shovels and brooms you could need to fight off the snow. Even an umbrella for that short walk into town or a stroll. The only thing two downsides are the windows. The curtains in the bedroom are completely sheer so it was hard to feel like there was any privacy or to block the early morning sun. We used the many many throw blankets to cover up those windows. Some privacy shades would be helpful. Also, while brand new, about half of the windows between the bathroom and bedrooms don't lock which was a security concern. Given the inclement weather we had I was a little less worried but This would be the only reason I would hesitate to stay again in the future. Harold and Elena were wonderful hosts.

Cons: uncomfortable couch, TV very high to watch, no safe sidewalks to walk into town Pros: Adorable log cabin with beautiful stone fireplace, all set up to go with fire starters, kindling and a great, convenient firewood cabinet that allows you to open a latch from inside to pull in logs from outside. Well appointed kitchen and bathroom and super comfortable master bed. Owners were quick to respond when I had trouble accessing the key and, I had mentioned that my daughter had been ill, they had a thoughtful and delightful little gift for her. So sweet! We walked into a lit cabin that already been heated up for our arrival. Huge fenced in backyard for our dog too. A doggie door would have been a great addition but certainly not a deal breaker. I think you’ll enjoy!

This place is a great location to town, cozy, clean and well taken care of. It was 4 adults and dogs and the yard was perfect for them. Would stay here again!

Everything was great. The cabin is clean and well stocked. Has everything you need to prepare your own meals. Walking distance to town and a very nice street. We were able to work because the wi-fi was excellent! Once we were done working we enjoyed cool evenings on the deck with a glass of wine and beautiful mornings with a cup of coffee. The hosts were very responsive. Highly recommend. Our dog highly rated her stay as well, she enjoyed a large fenced in back yard.

There are so many wonderful things to say about this cabin! When we arrived, there were so many thoughtful touches- a personalized welcome board, water bottles, coffee/tea, and beautifully arranged towels/linens. The cabin itself is a short 10 minute walk to town that my 13-year old pup could handle with ease. There are also two sets of stairs leading out from the deck to the backyard- one is lower with less of an incline that older and/or smaller pups can manage easily. It was so relaxing to be able to lounge on the back deck and see rabbits, squirrels, and other wildlife. We even saw a group of baby quail near the front pond! The owners, Harold and Elena, were extremely responsive to the questions I had before and during our stay and were always pleasant. They truly care about their guests and actively sought feedback on how to improve. We would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a relaxing place to stay in Idyllwild. We will be back soon!

We really enjoyed our stay! The home was a great location. Walking distance to the downtown. Very quite street and large gated yard. Great for pups too! We enjoyed the patio, BBQ, and very clean home. The home had all the cooking supplies you would need, which was a big plus! We go to Idllywild every year and we will be returning to this home. It was the best b&b we have found in town so far! Thank you again! Such a cute cabin. Hope everyone enjoys as much as we did!
