It was in a great location with great views and a short walk from new quay.

We wasn’t expecting 5 star accommodation but the property wasn’t clean, mouldy oven tray in oven, dirty cutlery and plates, floor was dirty and hadn’t been cleaned, finger marks everywhere, dirty damp smelling towels and marked bed sheets. It obviously hadn’t been cleaned properly prior to our arrival.

Single beds bedding didn't appear to have been changed, stains on sheets and dog hairs discovered.

The location was fine for us as it was a short walk from New Quay. Weather was kind to us so no issue with walking into the fishing village. Space in property was OK for us as we were 3 adults. Beds comfortable and lovely quilts. Didn't use the modern fire or TV whilst there but looked very good. Shower (over the bath) was hot but could have done with a slip mat in the bath as felt a little nervous getting out. Wardrobe space good but no chest of drawers in the twin room - this didn't really matter as we used the shelving unit. We felt it was good value for money and would consider stopping again when in the area.

Cobwebs between cooker hood and window was a bit off putting and there was dirt behind the door (close to where the coat hooks are). Some surfaces would have benefited from a wipe over (top of double plug by table, towel rail in bathroom). Grill pan and rack were not cleaned properly but to be fair, this should have been the responsibility of the previous hirers - though I would have expected these to be checked before we arrived. We did encounter a little troop of black ants in the kitchen/living area when returning one night (not the ones that bite) but no sign during the daytime! We also discovered that the slightly musty smell we had on arrival was down to a damp cloth that had been left under the sink. These are all minor niggles - meant as observations, not complaints - and in no way spoilt our stay.
