The bed was comfortable

Poor communication. We messaged, rang doorbell twice and were let in by another guest when we knocked the door. Owner didn't hear us, phone or doorbell. Room wasn't ready and rather than suggest we go for something to eat whilst she got it ready we were made to wait, bearing in mind we'd already been 30 minutes trying to get in! The kitchen was so cluttered and unclean we didn't use it at all. There was a fridge in room that was noisy and had food well out of date from previous guest. The bed hadn't had the linen changed and had the previous guests hair in it and on the pillow. We remade the bed ourselves. There was hair in the bathroom and we didn't even put our toiletries in it. Every time the person above moved or went to the toilet you could hear every sound. I'm struggling to understand how the rating for this property are 9.0. We wouldn't have stayed a 2nd night nor would we ever return. You're running a business, that means if you know you can't hear the doorbell then fix it. If you know a guest has left then get the room ready or don't book it out. And absolutely be certain you change the sheets!

en suite room with good shower and plenty of towels. comfortable mattress and clean. Kitchen available although i barely took advantage of those facilities. Nice TV.

all was fine but perhaps a kettle in the room would have been nice.

The room needed dusting, generally the bathroom could also have been a bit cleaner.

Ken was a fantastic host. He and his family were very helpful and provided us advice on places to visit and outside food. Definitely recommend visiting this place.

Excellent location and value for money. Ken was a very friendly host. Stayed in the large en-suite bedroom. Was able to park off-street behind the property. Bus stop right outside took me straight to the town centre. Worked perfectly for my needs.
