The hotel was comfortable and the staff were very helpful. It is about a 5-10 minute walk from the centre of town although there is a square near by with a cafe, boulangerie and grocers.

We had a lovely stay. The room was clean and nice, and the balcony was wonderful in the mornings and evenings. The service was very friendly and the staff spoke English well. The biggest issue was that the website said there was air conditioning, but no rooms in the hotel have air con. The breeze from the widows was just fine. The breakfast is worth the money. You can ask for espresso as well. It is definitely the best breakfast within walking distance. There is also a gastronomic a la carte restaurant just across the street. There is also a nice outdoor market just down the road and downtown is a less then 10 min walk as well.

I had a great stay here at Logis de France Epi D'or. The locals were very nice and put up with my horrible French speaking. The staff were very nice and accommodating to myself and my family. I would stay here again!

We stayed in this hotel in 2008 & again 2013. Both times, we were very pleased.

This hotel was the worst one we stayed in out of 10 hotels in france and spain. The room was supposed to be superior but was very basic. There was no restaurant at the hotel or any open during the evening within quite a distance of the hotel. The local bar closed at 7.45 pm on a Wednesday night. Would not recommend this hotel.

Poor location but that's mainly because of the layout of the town. Hotel parking not secure and not marked out so fewer spaces available than there should have been.

The hotel was good value for money and the staff were helpful. The hotel has a breakfast room and no restaurant but there are plenty of places to eat within 10 minutes walk.
The room was clean and comfortable but there was an unfortunate smell of drains in the bathroom. Also, why do the French provide sit-down showers with no shower curtain?

This hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the historical old centre of Angouleme. Staff are cheerful and friendly and, having spotted my woeful French, happily spoke to me in English! The hotel has a bit of a 70s feel to it, a bit dated but clean enough. My only moan would be that the walls were thin and every door closing / shower running / loo flushing seemed to echo through the corridors.

This was the only hotel available in the area during a business trip to Angouleme so I did not have any real options. The room was stuffy and warm, though there was an old floor fan. The bed was lumpy and the sheets were a bit scary. I did not sleep under the covers and truthfully, I hardly slept at all. Overall, I felt like I had visited a place that has not seen the light of day or had been aired out since the 70s. This is quite harsh, I understand, but I would prefer for others to not go through the same thing I had experienced.
