Good stay

Beautiful place to stay amazing continental breakfast. Friendly staff. Only knock was the bed was hard and the water pressure/temp. Excellent choice for the price paid though.

We loved it here. This was the last stop before we were heading back home so we just needed a place to stay for 2 nights. Unexpectedly my favourite accommodation of our entire trip. Host was very kind and helpful, he designed the entire place himself. You can tell he put a lot of thought and care into the place. Close proximity to the airport, AC was working, fast wifi, water pressure in the sink and shower were great. They had 2 parking spots but we were able to park on the street and it always felt safe especially with security watching over. Close to restaurants as well, I would stay here again next time I’m in the area.

This property needs some essential repairs and maintenance. Rooms look very old and dirty. Bed was bad, bathroom was dirty. Floor was not clean. There were spiders in the bathroom. AC was not working in one room. Continental Breakfast was good.

Unique property and common areas are gren and nice. But the two bedroom apartment we stayed needed major updates. Floors were floating, bathroom was from the 70s, low ceiling did not gelp either.

Bed linen had hairs, no proper hot water, safe not working, no desk phone in room, small room. Location not very ideal. AC was good TV was working electric outlet available for phone chargers

Incredible gardens located right in the center of the property! The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Rooms are nice!

I liked the ambience created by all the greenery. The coffee is terrible, but Cafe a la Moda, a10 minute walk away, has good coffee No hot showers, maybe no big deal in a tropical climate

A really nice place to stay, with very personable and helpful staff, especially for both the economical rate, and the convenient location relative to the US Embassy (for those who have appointments or business there). It's also a short drive to a huge Multi-Plaza Mall, the CIMA Hospital, the National Stadium at La Sabana Park, and other important places. Very comfortable beds, great bathroom facilities, and nice dining area and garden, fish and turtle pond, etc. Not perfect . . . but almost :) Overall an exceptional value for a B&B.

We loved this place once we got inside. Alex the host was very friendly and helpful. It was basic, but clean and very reasonable. The garden was lovely and the breakfast was well presented and delicious. For a full made to order breakfast there is an additional charge. So good for the small price. Just try not to get there after dark.

Apartment 2bdr was like small unit with very basic furniture, bed linen & toiletries, small kitchenette with a coil heater , small basic fridge with freezer not working, few mixed utensils that felt greesy, small bathroom with shower curtain, shower worked but water not very hot. Howebver it served our needs as most time spent outdoor. The best part was their mini garden with little pool, green plants, & colorful sitting area. Breakfast was ok, very basic with baked bread rolls, juice, tea/coffee & plate of fruits served on table. Few items were on order with price of 2 eggs any style $3, Omelette $7 etc

Excellent service and food was the hallmark of this property. The gardens, where we shared a drink and enjoyed coffee in the morning, are beautiful. The rooms can use a bit of an update, especially the A/C which was very loud turning on and off all night trying to keep up with the heat.

My key was ready when i arrived thanks to the hotel contacting me beforehand.

We had reserved the 2-bedroom apartment. It was not ready on time. When the cleaning person left, we walked in and the apartment smelled like cleaning products but the whole place was a disaster. It did not match the Hotels.com pictures at all. It was moldy, worn out, greying pillow cases, dirt embedded in the bed frame. A rusty toaster oven instead of a white microwave. A rusty hot plate instead of a nice coffee maker. Slimy windows. Ripped up fixtures (toilet paper holder and shampoo holders) in the bathroom. The manager said the place was full and they could not do anything for us. After one night, we told them we were leaving and paid for a different place. They admitted that a long term tenant had trashed the place and that it would no longer be rented until renovated, but when Hotels.com contacted them for a refund, Casa Lima management refused.

The landcaping placed me right at center of nature. Very welcoming, Friendly athmosphere. Prompt service. Pura Vida!

Really delightful place with good pricing and courteous service. The breakfast is served in the front cafe area similarly to a restaurant and the garden in the open air courtyard takes you out of the city mentality and gives a lovely jungle space, with the addition of a bird enclosure that lets you experience the feeling of nature as you wake to the chorus of their songs.

Case Lima B&B is a hidden gem within the city of San Jose. The tranquil environment created here is second to none. Having breakfast with waterfall sounds in the background along with the tropical plants is serene. Nelson is a phenomenal host who went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience in Costa Rica. That's not coming from an inexperienced traveler. I have been traveling for over 20 years, 5 continents, and over 10 countries with multiple visits to many. This place exceeded all my expectations and I can see how this business is thriving and will only do better in the future. My mobility scooter was damaged by the airline while coming to Costa Rica and it was a big issue, to say the least. My wife and I tried to find tools and such on our own but had no luck. After talking to Nelson about it, he took it upon himself and proceeded to fix it during our breakfast no less. During our breakfast, of the best banana pancakes we have ever had in our lives, he succeeded with the scooter. The scooter was running and he did an amazing job of securing things to make sure it didn't happen again. It was never his problem and he would have been an incredible host without doing so, but he still went out of his way for us. He saved our trip in more ways than one. We will definitely stay again and even if they were full we would visit just to see him, the amazing lobby, and to have breakfast. I would recommend 10 out of 10 to anyone.

First of all I gotta say the owner is amazing. He is very good people’s person. Breakfast was very nice, my kids enjoyed for sure. However the property needs some love. I reserved a room for my husband and kids as they traveled before me. At arrival the owner greeted them and directed them to the room. When my husband got in they all noticed a terrible humid smell and a waterfall (leak) coming down from the ceiling. Not a small leak but a running and constant dripping. The bathroom wasn’t pleasant either, my kids didn’t want to shower at all. I hope the owner can upgrade the property a bit. His customer service is amazing but the property (at least for my family) wasn’t the best

Good budget value, charming and really nice and help staff. Fruit breakfast just fine for me, pizza after 6 not. Would stay again.
