Very friendly, fluent in English, great location

Watch out, you must contact the hotel to reserve a parking spot.. they only have 5 free spots. It says free parking. Most rooms has shared bathrooms, didn’t see that either when I booked. Third floor, no elevator. Small room and small tv. Very pricy for what you get.

Comfortable hotel and breakfasts good.

Only 6 minutes walking distance from Cologne Central station, super comfortable bed (best nights' sleep I've had), good shower pressure, all in all would highly recommended. Would have been good to have kettle and tea making facilities in the room but there was a hot water dispenser in the reception (which I didn't use).

The hotel is in a handy location. There's on-street parking about an 8 minute walk away for €5 per day (if you're unable to reserve a free hotel spot, Clever Str is an almost straight walk to the hotel, only turning onto the hotel street). Central station and the cathedral are only a few minutes away also. Everything was clean, the breakfast was a decent, continental style selection (and a pain au chocolate for later) and the staff are helpful and can keep your room key behind the desk while you are out. The biggest grumble was having a shared bathroom - 1 or 2 per floor. It wasn't a huge deal, but if someone is using the toilet or showering, you have to go to other floors. But as a stop off and resting point, it was great. We were there to see the city, didn't need the hotel to have anything too special.

The hotel was very nice inside, and the staff was helpful and kind. There's no elevator, so be prepared to carry your bags up some stairs. The street outside got a little loud in the morning, but was not bad overnight. Convenient location right near the train station!

The personal was very kind. Besides a little problem about the toilet, the room was perfectly clean and tidy. I strongly reccomand this hotel !

For a quick one nite stay it’s ok. Front desk said free parking was supposed to be reserved in advance - which I didn’t but they still allowed me to park free. The hotels.com app doesn’t mention such - I think. Street noise was a little loud but for the price not a bad quick stay.

A cheaper alternative than many hotels, placed close to centrum in Cologne.

Close to the cathedral and to the restaurants in old city. Very close to the railstation. No elevator. Soundproofing could be improved.

Room was smelly like a smoker-room, the receptionist could not care less, very bright yellow neonlight-signage of the hotel straight in front of room window lit the room all night and attracted flies and bugs to the room window, filthy carpet floor in rooms and corridors, toilet flush in both shared bathrooms did not work properly, one shared bathroom without door, request for 30 min later checkout rejected by quite ruthless manager-owner

Wifi didn’t work well and asked the staff to change the room, but couldn’t do that.

Close to the station, cathedral and old town. 24 hour reception, quiet surroundings, tasty breakfast and comfortable.

Lovely cosy hotel

Fine. Very quick stay - late arrival, early departure so not much to review. Breakfast was fine. Room was ok. Location ideal for main train station. Staff fine.

The hotel is in a good location and also serves a great breakfast. However, service is lacking. I was told I should how booked or reserved a parking space earlier even though there were spots available. It also seemed to be a big deal for them to store some cheese in their kitchens fridge (the rooms do not have fridges). I was told that next time I should bring my own container. Nice building, a bit noisy outside in the street and good location. A little more service and friendliness would make this place even better.

An excellent location that is less than 5 minutes from the Cologne Central Train Station (Koln HBF) should you need to catch early trains to the airport or other German cities. Was excellent value. Rooms were reasonably basic with common shared toilets and showers. The included buffet breakfast in the price was excellent. Nice family run place with friendly service.

Wonderful staff. Lovely Breakfast. I would definitely stay there again.

Excellent breakfast with great service. Wifi just ok for email but no streaming. Would stay again.
