The hotel owner was friendly but the room was extremely small.

It was when I needed emergency dental treatment that this hotel showed how kind and helpful the staff were. I owe a big thank you to them, and to the dentist I was referred to.

Hotel was super friendly and accommodating! While the style of the room was a bit outdated the staff, service and comfort of the room made up for it!

Property was very clean, staff friendly and breakfast good. Location central to main train station & cathedral. Only thing lacking was no tea/coffee making facility in room, other than that excellent value for money.

Very good location, close to the Dome, the railway station and almost any important site. Nice room. Friendly staff. The breakfast was excellent.

The hotel is really well located for the Christmas markets, I would say it's about a 10 minute walk (depending on how fast you walk) to the Cathedral market and about a 3 minute walk to the station. The hotel staff were all nice and welcoming. We only had one slight issue, we were in an nice room right by reception and were asked on our first night whether we would move to a smaller room as they have another booking with a small child we were told that it wasn't a problem if we did not want to move (which we didn't) the next morning when we gave them our decision they told us we had to move anyway? They did wave the city tax and refunded us 10 euros and a little gift in our new room which was a nice touch. It just initially was not handled well, If they had told us in the first place that there had been a mix up but apologised and offered us what they gave us we would of been absolutely fine it was just a bit frustrating to be asked then told. The presumably owner came over to us at breakfast and did apologise and that was a nice touch and it was a big misunderstanding so it didn't spoil our time just a bit of an inconvenience. The breakfast is nice, enough choice and all the food was clearly very fresh! However there is not much room so suggest going early. The hotel is very clean, I lost an earring back in the first room and they returned so clearly do thorough cleans of the room. Overall happy with our stay and had a great time at the Christmas Markets.

Great Stay, excellent service. This hotel is centrally located in Altstad-North, very near (walking distance of) Central station, Kölner Dom and the city centre. Neat hotel, very well cleaned, small rooms, great shower, breakfast and service. I recommend ordering/requesting a parking space in a nearby garage. You can park your car in the neighbourhood, (easypark app), but it is expensive. Only Sundays is free parking.

We wanted a Brief City break and Chose this hotel for it's close proximity to the centre and the Station. We found the check-in easy and the room was perfectly adequate for our one night stay. Breakfast was also great, with a good variety of things. No one need go hungry. We found the hotel quiet at night and the beds were comfortable. All in all, a good stay, I would stay here again and would recommend the hotel to anyone.

This is a great family run hotel just a couple blocks north of the main train station in Köln. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, room was clean and comfortable, the included breakfast was good, and the free WiFi was good. My only complaint was that there wasn’t a safe in my room, but that’s a very minor thing.

This is a very basic hotel, no better or worse than might be expected for the price. However, it has one real flaw that is not indicated on the Hotels.com website. The hotel will only accept payment in cash. No cards at all are taken. Fortunately, I had sufficient Euros on me to pay the bill, but if you dont you wont be able to get into your room. Quite amazing in this day and age!

3 blocks from the main train station, the location of this hotel is excellent. This is good, because otherwise the hotel is unremarkable. The hotel is old. Phones in the room look like they are from the 70s. Free internet was available, but required help from the front desk to connect to. The rooms are sparse and comfortable, but nothing special. The front desk staff, however, were very helpful. Breakfast in a cramped basement room was decent.
