As a back packers accom it suited us down to the ground.

Second time staying here, this time I had a room with private shower and toilet, definitely worth the extra money, comfortable bed

Compared of the price I paid, I think it was good. The location is excellent. The room is spacious, the commons kitchen was great. Only the shared shower appeared old and not clean. So I decided not shower that night because I had showered in the morning , and I am going to have a private shower the coming night.

Very easy check-in. Great location, very peaceful and quiet. Community lounge & kind then fantastic. Room great, beds really comfortable. Garden is just amazing, expecially loved the little red toadstools in the grass.

We had the cabin on its own with private bathroom for one night and it suited us perfectly! Comfortable beds and opposite the shared kitchen which was very handy. Moved our bench temporarily to the small private garden for breakfast in the sun. Easy walk to the church and shops Highly Recommended if you like good budget overnight stay.

The kitchen and utensils, common room, bathrooms and toilets were always immaculate. There are heaters located in rooms and bathrooms for comfort during the winter months and also a fireplace in the common lounge room. Rooms have nice, new looking carpet, comfortable beds and a hairdryer for your convenience. Also has parking on site which is a bonus.
Always a warm and friendly greeting from the staff. Honestly one of the best hostels I stayed at during my visit to the South Island. Thank you to Xin Lei and the staff at Tailor Made for making my stay so pleasant. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.

An outside light to the other buildings would have been great. Apart from that everything was excellent and I will be staying again next time I go to Tekapo.

Only stayed one night, after an all day drive, would stay there again. It was homely, nice bedding great outside area with a variety of animals. The shared kitchen was well set out with good crockery and coffee plungers.

Ideal location for a couple of nights in Tekapo. Easy walk to 'town'. Clean, secure and complete with two families of guinea pigs. Would stay there again.

Room was clean & comfortable but needs sound proofing. Hearing our neighbours in the bathroom & snoring from the room on the other side was a shame. We were in unit 13.
The outside of the property needs some maintenance (gutters cleaning of weeds & cleaning to remove cobwebs, etc).

We stayed on our way down to Te Anau. The property and setting is quite nice and cute with big garden, really close to the centre of Tekapo. However the property really needs an upgrade. I understand it's backpackers and expected no luxury but the bed is super soft and really uncomfortable, the carpets worn and threadbare. For the same price we stayed in a brand new hotel room in Queenstown with view of Remarkables...

Nobody there when we checked in, cleanliness very poor. Parking on site was full. So had to park on the street. $110 was a rip off for the quality of the accomodation. We are told to holiday in our own backyard & when we do we get ripped off. I wouldn’t stay there again.

Awesome place to stay. Friendly staffs, thanks Tiff for showing us around! Lots of cute animals in the backyard.

Amazing stay at Tailor made backpackers, which has kind staff, clean & warm room, and cute animals. I really enjoyed stayed 2 nights there.
