The presidential room was beautiful. The baby slept well in the side room. I would've liked to soak in the big jetted tub forever. The house itself is also beautiful and staff was friendly.

As a fan of historic hotels, this is one of the most beautiful ones we have visited. The bedrooms have character, the common areas are impeccably furnished. Highly recommend.

This was a wonderful experience. The mansion has been completely gutted and redone after a fire almost destroyed it. The rooms are all furnished with period furniture and every need is anticipated! This has the advantage of old country charm and upgraded construction. The people who own it and their staff couldn’t be nicer.

Very unique property with lots of history. The mansion is absolutely stunning and so very well kept. Spotlessly clean throughout. The complimentary breakfast was very good. Highly recommend.

It was gorgeous inside and out. The amazing attention to detail at every turn was so impressive. It was clean and beautiful. The story of this property is cool too. The staff and owner both so kind. Heads up breakfast is in the basement. We assume 1st floor dining area. So we missed it thinking maybe during the week they don’t have it and realized after as we toured the property. our fault. Inn is near Fairport Harbor restaurant by the water which we enjoyed. Loved this stay.

This is a beautiful restored mansion. Rooms and bathrooms are large with 2 sinks, lots of mirrors. Staff is great.

Beautiful mansion with a great breakfast. Comfy bed. Quiet. This would be the perfect place for bridal party guests, out of town guests, in town guests, friends get togethers, etc. You can tell they care about their guest’s experience and comfort. Highly recommend. Definitely would stay here again. And again.

Sometimes you may think, "I want to stay in an old, historical hotel, but I hate the idea of some old, musty room with old, questionable plumbing." Well this place is the best of both worlds. It's been remodeled, so it's got all the clean, new, fresh experience of a full 4 star hotel yet maintains the decor and history of the past few centuries. The free breakfast, the friendly and accommodating staff, and just the whole atmosphere are all top tier. I am definitely staying here again on my next visit.

Our stay was top notch! The staff was very friendly, accommodating, and went the extra mile to make our stay very enjoyable. The room was really comfortable and charming. An added bonus was the delicious breakfast served in the morning.The hotel is a must see! Overall, we couldn’t be more happy that we stayed and highly recommend the Steele Mansion.

What a pleasant find.. just picked a town 1.5 hours from where we had an early appointment. It was a grand, beautiful and special find, from our greeting at the front desk… we will plan to return. A great value on too, especially noticeable as we are Canadian.

Beautiful historic mansion, very clean and cozy. It's worth walking around and taking in all the cool sights throughout the full mansion.
