Good place centrally located but food and laundry way too expensive….

The Memling hotel is just fine... the beds are comfortable, the staff are helpful and friendly, and it is lovely to have an outdoor pool, with music poolside on the weekend. It is also near some great, quick restaurants to grab hummus, shawarma, or other Lebanese snacks! However, there were tiny cockroaches in my room (although the cleaning staff are amazing! I think the cockroaches are just a product of the general decline of the hotel). Consider having products on hand to repel mosquitos for poolside diners- like sprays, coils, or candles! That would be a really nice touch to elevate the experience! The prices are insane... $6USD for a can of Coke?! A $20USD+ croque madame?! It all feels a bit exorbitant. Yes, Kinshasa is expensive, but this is over the top! Anyways- overall a pleasant stay! I just think there is better value for your money in Kinshasa!

I love Memling Hotel. The rooms smell wonderful, very clean and the restaurant is excellent. I highly encourage this place. The one down fall is the outside surroundings, but that is the case with every hotel in Kinshasa.

We’re aircrew and booked three rooms at the Memling with $26 food/beverage credit vouchers, but NEVER received them! We couldn’t get our own individual roomkey and had a to ask everything the frontless to come and use the master key. In the evening we made a takeaway order at the restaurant for the morning leaving at 5 am and we found out at 5 am that the chef even didn’t start to prepare our order. Nobody took responsibility and we even had to pay $220 for it with no apologies whatsoever.

Nothing. Worse place to stay. No value for money. This place is the worse I’ve been to in my entire life. Too expensive for poor quality,bad food, old elevators. It’s actually hotel worth 5$ a night.

The Hotel is conveniently located in the centre of town.

Well situated hotel in a city which is not known for worldly conforts, the Memling Hotel remains a gem in Kinshasa. This is my second time in two months and my trip was marred by very bad internet during 4 out of the 7 nights. There was not much visible effort to sort out the issue and I were suggested to buy internet credit from street hawkers and use my cellphone instead. This was a major disappointment. Otherwise, the hotel restaurants were good, if not excellent. The receptionists varied from very helpful to indifferent but waiters were kind and welcoming. Rooms suffer from poor lighting so while it creates an excellent ambience for lovers, it was somewhat a constraint for me as a businessman.

Awesome hotel with very good food and amenities

Hotel Memling treated me like a King. I arrived from Boende through Ndolo Airport. On arrival, I was received by a well-dressed tall healthy looking staff. He picked me from the stone-faced Immigration staff and ushered me into the comfortable chauffeur car that dropped me at theHotel. The Reception staff were very courteous. They easily changed my room from smoking to non-smokers room. The food was delightful. the internet connection was super. The following day, the picked me from the Hotel to the Airport and the fellow who picked me from the Ndolo Airport dropped me at D'Njili Airport where he arranged for everything for ease of my passage through chaotic Airport guards. My exit from Kinshasa was complete opposite of my welcome. If I ever go back to Kinshasa, Hotel Memling will be the place to stay. They made me forgot all the challenges and problems I encountered while in DRC.

Courteous and helpful front desk staff. Very good security system both inside and outside the hotel.

Room was reasonably good and so was breakfast choices. Staff need to give more smiles and be more attentive. Wifi for one gadget at anyone time was not good

Nice hotel. Downtown market location. Close to US Embassy. Well managed and well looked after. Rooms are small. Gym is small. Pool is also a busy restaurant with little space. But overall. Quiye nice. Staff are well trained and try hard. Is hotel for Belgian airline flight crews.

The front desk service is great very friendly and fast. The room is nice but it is an older hotel so a little dated. The only time i had a problem was with the free breakfast buffet. I asked for a second omelet for my wife and they refused thinking it was for me. The cook got very mad at me and walked away.

Was ok. The staff were really nice. The cockroach and mosquitoes in my room did not help my opinion of the place. Second time there.

The only good thing about my stay was my encounter with the lovely waiter Jean Robert who made sure I ate well and was served with quality service each day. The rooms were not 5 star quality, more like the front desk concierge were always so slow at getting things done and just incredibly unhelpful.
