For those interested in shopping and action, the location of this flat is excellent. The flat itself is laid out nicely and has a full bathroom up a set of stairs including a bath tub. The apartment has large windows with balconies and an open feel. The apartment is spacious. The kitchen was very good, with my only complaint being there was no way to make a real cup of coffee. A pour-over or press-pot would have helped. We ate breakfast and made dinner every night for two weeks...I appreciated the kitchen and table.The downside to the location is that all the action comes with noise. If you are a light sleeper bring ear-plugs. Also, there is no air conditioning and the apartment lacks fans. This creates a tension between keeping the apartment cool, but also quiet and bug-free especially at night. Finally, parking and driving in this area is very difficult, so be warned that if you need a car for certain activities that are outside of Antwerp, you will find it very cumbersome to keep a car with this flat.

Easy to find, good communications with property host, clean and comfortable

Stunning, centrally located 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath flat in Antwerp city center. The 2nd flr (w/ lift) flat is absolutely stunning. Soaring ceilings, wide plank wood floors throughout, massive widows and in the living room, doors which lead to a sweet Juliet balcony. The space is light, bright and airy. Sparse but Quality furnishings throughout. There are 2 queen sized bedrooms and a sofa bed in the living room (with closing doors). This flat can accommodate 6 people comfortably. The main bathroom, with double sinks, separate shower and tub is located upstairs via a narrow circular staircase. A second toilet/sink wc is on the main floor. The flat is within 5-15 minutes walking distance to everywhere... restaurants, cafes, shopping and the central train station. As for amenities, don't expect anything beyond a few pods of coffee/tea bags, soap dispenser in the shower and some dish soap I need the kitchen. This is not your Airbnb or Plum guide exped. It is bare bones... not even bottled water, amenities. Also, this company has (imho) a strange policy of on item per person staying in the flat. When I emailed them asking for 2 extra pillows, I had to go back and forth several times and finally basically beg, for at least 1 extra for my bad back. Seriously? All this effort for an extra pillow? This was a definite first for me. The bath towels (yes one each)) were graying and could use replacing. That being said, the flat is absolutely stunning and you will be pleasantly surprised!
