It’s a country place. Wish there were some coffee or tea packs, and some napkins or paper kitchen towel in the kitchen.
The biggest thing was looking for the property. We used iPhone map, and it took us to a place 30 miles north of it close to the Crater. After some unpaved road, we arrived at a cabin where there was a note on the window reads “this is not country dream guesthouse. It is 30 miles south from here”. So obviously we were not the only people came to the wrong place. The google map has the correct location, however, the street sign on the highway 1 says rd. 304 instead of 318. It would be very helpful if there was a sign reads country dream guesthouse on the highway. After a long day, it’s a bit frustrating to have such difficulties locating the place.

The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. We had 2 units, both of which were very clean and seemed recently updated. It was a very pleasant stay.

The room was so cute and comfortable. It had a kitchen with all the appliances and kitchen utensils you could possibly need, it even had some pantry staples stocked. The bathroom was designed well, the whole room was actually. Also, I showed up after midnight, expecting to just collect my room key at the reception but an owner came out to greet me and show me to my room which was so nice of her. I highly recommend this place.

Great place to stay at a peaceful countryside. The room was modern and tidy, there was a convenient tiny kitchen in the room also.

first you should know that the property is not located in Selfoss, but about 10 minutes out and it is a horse eanch with cottages. Very charming ... just that the address Expedia shows is confusing as there are 2 streets with the same name. Guests should continue oast the girst ine and into the countryside about ten minutes toward the second ine well marked off the main road. Look for horse ranch setting. You will live your stay!!!

Very quiet location, outside of town, in a farm. There are animals, including horses nearby, no need to go far for pictures. Comfortable bed, a little kitchen and a suna is always a plus!
This property is away from town, so prepare your own food before arrival.

This is a place about 10 mins from Selfoss. Tiny little cabin room with a small kitchen.
It wasn't the cleanest room when we checked in, but it was well maintained.
The host was nice and the place was easy to find.
We traveling with a 3 year old child and it wasn't very child proof of/toddler friendly, because there was literally no space. I wouldn't stay here with a child.

This hotel was much worse than anticipated. The pictures did not match the actual appearance of the room on arrival. The service was fine. The hotel did have a great view overseeing a lake. However, the room was horrendous. It had a moldy smell and look very old/shabby. The shower was not work, water would not drain. We asked for a new room but none were available as they were fully booked. They came to our room to fix the shower. They had the use a plunger to unplug the shower drain. I question the cleanliness of the plunger as it could have been used for a toilet. Overall, big disappointment.

The guesthouse was set in a very nice, rural area. the cabins were clean and the kitchen was well stocked for us. It was a great place to stay as a base for our visits to the National Park. The town of Selfoss had a Bonus grocery store so we could stock up for out 3 days...breakfast and dinner. We wish the owners had been on site to chat with our about Iceland...

We were greeted at the car and given great service. The staff showed us how to operate the sauna and where everything was. He got us some ice when requested. It was a real cute cottage with 4 separate rooms. The bed was comfortable. There were view of horses grazing out the window. A little tricky to find though and the shower was difficult to operate.

The name fits this hotel perfectly. We stayed at Country Dream for two nights and it was an absolute perfect country dream. Give them my highest recommendations.

This place is wonderful. Selfoss is a great little town, and Country Dream Guesthouse is the perfect place to stay. It's on a farm and the hosts are wonderful people. They are really friendly and I would recommend this guesthouse to anyone. It's very secluded and the guesthouses are very warm and cozy. It's a home away from home.

Very happy I stayed here - hosts were very welcoming and friendly, and the room was lovely and warm (in the winter). Everything was in great condition and clean. Plenty of parking and easy to find with Google Maps. I can imagine this would also be a great place to see the northern lights due to being a bit outside of town (sadly it was cloudy when I stayed). I would definitely stay here again if I’m back in the area!

From the moment we arrived Ragnar welcomed us and was so helpful and friendly. He allowed us to use the outside hot tub even though it turned out they had guests in their house next to the tub. We really enjoyed the hot tub and the hospitality😁. The studio apartment was clean and nice and even though the cook tops were small and we managed to break things in the kitchen(so sorry for that) we managed to cook dinner with one casserole at a time. Bed were comfy as well. This was the best place we stayed on our trip around South Iceland!

This place was so adorable! In the country but only a few minutes from the city. Friendly host with the cutest dog that reminded me of my own back home. Cute and spacious room with satellite tv. Would definitely recommend and stay there again!
