Staff extremely helpful. Room very clean. Food very tasty, especially the breakfast. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Dinner was divine with plenty of options for my dairy intolerance. Bed was very comfy and room was spacious. The shower was delightful with fantastic water pressure. Complimentary soap/shampoo/conditioner was a really nice touch.

Short overnight stay visiting family. The room was stylish a clean with all that we needed. Quite village location. Very friendly and accomodati g staff and good breakfast which was included in the price.

Nice stay. Room really nice and bed very comfortable. Could have been excellent if they were to pay attention to detail on cleaning of shower screen, mildew on windows and painting of walls.

The staff and food at dinner were lovely. Breakfast wasn’t run at quite the same standard with a lot of mistakes and delays on orders. The room was nice, although the finer details could do with a bit more attention (dust in corners, dirty grout in bathroom). Bed nice and comfy, unfortunately we were near the road so a bit noisy but that can’t be helped. The resident cats will wake you up early whilst they’re waiting for breakfast though if the traffic doesn’t! We were charged £25 extra for our dog which is a bit steep in my opinion. We also didn’t get the dog bed/treats that we read about after and had to bring our own so not sure what that cost is for. Would definitely return for dinner, however I wouldn’t stay over again.

Always on the look out for somewhere different to stay and this one was so lovely. A room with such charming character. And the foid was amazing!!

We had a best room in the Willows which is situation across the st from the Pub. I think an umbrella in the room would be handy for when its raining to get across to the restaurant. All was perfect, very comfortable and clean. Food good but busy so make sure you book.

Great place, great service, great food.

It was a last minute late night stop over after a missed flight to Stansted. Arrived at 9.30pm to a warm welcome. Kitchen was closed down, but I was offered sandwiches or cheese and biscuits. The cheese was great. Room was spacious and well presented. Across the road from the inn. Comfortable bed. Everything I needed. Had a lovely cooked breakfast served by friendly staff. Even the little spider in my sugar wasn’t a negative. It is a country Inn and wildlife is always present. Based on the few hours I was there, I’d recommend it.

Lovely quiet village location rooms are very good and roomy I stayed in an annex across the road which were lovely Good and drink is good in the pub and the breakfast was very good Friendly and helpful staff

The hotel was lovely and our room was as extremely clean and well maintained.

The Cricketers was absolutely phenomenal. It might as well have been a paradise. The staff is excellent (and entertaining), the food is exceptional and the environment is warm like an inn from the old days that sheltered you from the elements. Not to mention, the room was very modern and pristine. If you need a place to stay, this is your place. Highly recommend. 10/10.

Lovely traditional pub with beautiful rooms and friendly welcoming staff. Only downside was I arrived at 8:45pm and was told the kitchen was closed so I had to order food from justeat.

Wonderful welcome, staff, food and very good accommodation

We stayed two nights at this property. Room was okay, but I think we got their last room. It had a nice bar and outdoor sitting area but the food was not good. Presentation was good but taste and quality not good. We wouldn’t choose to eat there again.

Just a really nice place with really nice staff who were very acccommodating.

Our flight was canceled at Stansted airport and this was the option we took for the night. And it ended up being the best option possible as the pub offers gorgeous meals and the rooms are very comfortable. Plus the staff and service is excellent.
