Excellent service and experience

We stayed there for 2 nights with my 1 year old daughter, stay was very comfortable, its very near to the international airport, staff was very helpful, receptionist always smiling and ready to help that gives us very good vibes . Thanks holiday in team, I will definitely gonna come back.

The staff were helpful.

Room is very small and very tight. Practically no space to move around. Bed sheet was dirty. I had to request room change. Bathroom was decent but again very tight. Breakfast was decent. Blanket cover felt dirty as well. It seems like hotel saves money on laundry. Not sure if I will stay here again.

i had to wait 1 hr for checkin. i don’t know why even big chain like holiday inn become bad in india. probably unprofessionalism in india

I always love to stay at this property. This is probably my 10th time in this Holiday Inn Express. It is an easy walk to the airport. Nice gym. Really good breakfast. The staff is always friendly and the place is impeccably clean.

It was a good stay but the food options are limited and not as high quality as the restaurants close to it.

Very impressed with the front desk staff.

This is a perfect place to stay if you have a long lay over. I was picked up at the airport late at night and they took me back in the morning. Everything was high quality. They even had breakfast for us and four bottles of water. I would recommend this place.

Staff were wonderful. Debjani, one of the most pleasing officials too so much care of me, I will never forget. It’s the personal touch that makes these hires home away from home

Live up to holiday inn standard very customer friendly

Very clean and modern building and excellent location right next to Dumdum (Kolkata) airport annex Excellent food options, specially if you add the half track (breakfast and dinner) option to your reservation. They upgraded us to their high end restaurant for dinner buffets Breakfast buffet has adequate for us. It is lot better than state-side hotels of the same chain, but breakfast buffet in better hotels in India always tend to be elaborate- 5star by US standards We chose the location specifically as our inbound blight came at an ungodly hours of 3am and the old fashioned (but excellent) guest house I planned to stay did not have 24 hour checkin.. so this hotel acted as a gap accommodation One caution to let them know beforehand to send a big enough car or suv for your pickup, and getting to the manager (to send the driver for pickup) could be challenging in the wee hours. They do not believe in writing down your flight number to track the arrival time (and send the driver on their own when your flight arrives) I need to add/mention the excellent security arrangements of manned gated entrance (the gatekeepers check the trunc of every inbound car) and every piece of inbound luggage or package gets crated (TSA style) before they let it inside. Elevators are card activated - another security measure.

Poor Communication by hotel staff. The room I booked included a meal and I enquired about this during check in. The receptionist told me it could be either a lunch or a dinner and to speak to the restaurant staff about it. After checking into the room, we went to the restaurant for lunch and explained that our room included a meal and asked what we could order. Our waitress replied that we could order anything and gave us the a la carte menu. The food was applied to our room bill. When we went to check out (at 00:30am) we were informed by staff on the desk that we would need to pay for the meal we had received as the free meal only applied to the buffet. I explained that we had asked 2 staff members regarding this and had been given the wrong information and issued the wrong menu but we were still expected to pay for our meal. As we were rushing to leave for the airport (desk staff were well aware of this as they had arranged the transfer) I paid the bill but feel scammed by it. In addition, out room smelled of damp but I did not mention this as we were only there for a 10 hour layover. There were used cotton buds under the bed from a previoujs guest.

Beautiful property, neat and clean and right next to the airport. The people at the reception have some attitude especially the one who checked me in. They were doing me a favour by giving me a room, atleast thats how i was made to feel. They nust have called me 4 times before checking in- "whether i am checking in or not? and what time ?" which was irritating and annoying

Room cleanliness could be improved

Great hotel with efficient staff and well appointment rooms. Great breakfast too. Highly recommend it if you are looking for a place close to the airport.

We only spent a few hours on a stopover. Staff were very attentive & offered a bag breakfast. Airport transfer back to terminal was great but I did not receive any response to a message via hotels.com requesting a transfer on arrival.

Best staff very helpful

Service is terrible. The room didn’t have all the amenities and upon asking it took hours before anyone provided it. The room with 2 occupants had one towel and the other upon multiple requests came 3 hours later. 3 items ordered at Lunch at the restaurant, after 45 min was informed that one dish is not available and replacement was ordered. After another 45 min food was still not delivered. Disappointed that this low levels of service was delivered by IHG group! Overall the worst experience and would never stay here again nor recommend to anyone to stay here.
