Staff from reception wasn’t helpful, we had a couple concerns, but never had solutions or trying to do it

Amazing hotel, incredible views and lovely staff: would love to return

All restaurants needs reservations three days ahead. Meaning you only eat at buffet if you don’t have reservations. Weird closing times. It was times nothing was open in the middle of the day . I think this place need more OPEN food choices

This was a fantastic resort. I would not hesitate to stay at any RIU property in the future.

Amazing all staff .

We had a lovely stay at the hotel and really enjoyed it from the first to last minute even though the weather was not amazing. The service was very good and the food and drinks were all great. We managed to get a booking in the Asian restaurant and celebrated by fathers 70th birthday. Really impressed with the hotel and the team and will be back in the future.

What a wonderful hotel at the best location with excellent servis, facilities and food

The hotel has plenty of amenities, friendly staff and amazing food options. The only improvement are options for kids clubs. Some of the activities my kids wanted to do either didn’t start or started late. The RIU art was awesome.

Beautiful beach and people the staff were all so helpful and friendly and were able to cater to all our needs. The activities were really good as well

Stayed at Riu Jambo for 2 nights and had no complaints. The staff was amazing! From the General manager (Portuguese gentleman) to the front desk and cleaning staff everyone there really catered to me. It was my birthday and I ended up getting an early check in so they weren’t able to decorate my room as promised. While I went out for dinner they were able to clean up and surprise me with a bottle of wine and flowers, they decorated my room entirely, it was beautiful!!! My friends who were meeting me at checkout were able to get day passes and join me for breakfast and lunch for a really good price! Overall, I’m giving them a 5 and I’d stay there again and again! If you want good food, good drinks and a beautiful beach please take my advice and try Riu Jambo!

The beach front Food Service clean beach HOPE doesn’t get like other countries with plastics HATED the jet skis making a lot noise around the hotel beach area

Great place to stay.

Jambo (Hello) We were Visiting Tanzania from Canada and absolutely loved the place. Definitely worth the 24 hour flight from Toronto. Hotel is rated 4 Star and that’s exactly what you should expect. Rooms were clean and were serviced daily washroom was small though for 3 people. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Special mention for Issa the bellboy who helped us on our arrival and Musa (from Reception) on our time of check out. Assante Sana!! It has been a lovely trip!

Nice and quiet when you wanted that. Many swimming pools,bars,restaurants and nice beach. And the personal at the hotel is a 5⭐️ rating

There are actually not multiple dining options open to you. We were told we could only choose a restaurant one time and the others were booked. Eating all meals in the meal hall’s buffet was very disappointing. The 24 hour food had old fruit and stale items. The meal hall never covered the food and there were flies landing everywhere. The room had bugs and we needed to spray. Before I went to the resort I emailed to inquire about transport to the hotel, the hotel replied the night after I had checked in. When I asked the manager about the lack of dining options she suggested I call Expedia who I booked the trip through- as if Expedia knew more about the dining options than the hotel manager. I would NOT recommend this hotel.

The services, staff friendliness, cleanliness of the room and grounds.

Customer service was outstanding especially from Aman who assisted me on several occasions on arranging transportation off property and guaranteeing my return with no hassle. Room for improvement the numerous stairs don’t have any railings to hold which can be dangerous and slippery during rainy conditions.

Beautiful hotel right on the beach. Room was spacious and clean. Staff were very professional, friendly and accommodating. Food was really good with different options. Restaurants, bars, and daily entertainment were very nice. All the pools were great.

Modern a new hotel with the best beach facilities and a nice beach snackbar. We had a wonderful week, beachlife all the time. Not crowded, and for the most very quiet. The hotel offers all inclusive dining. We had all different styles of food, but we found the quality for the food to be average or lower. Plenty of everything, but choose to go pasta as the safe choice. The same goes for wine. Water used in coffe and tea had the pool-taste to it, so even if we love coffee, this was the week with no coffee except bottle water and nescafe at the room. Big complaint about availability for the restaturants at the overwater building. Just not possible to book, even days in advance. For the most, they were closed. But they look nice at pictures though.. Yes, we would like to go here again, knowing on beforehand about food. The beach-life at this location was wonderful, and just what we were looking for.

We were here for our honeymoon. The hotel provided us with a nicer room and a bottle of champagne. The food was great and we enjoyed the location. Beach is really nice and numerous of pools for relaxing. Staff really friendly and hardworking.

Everything was great

Honestly on of the best hotels I’ve stayed at, and I’ve travelled a lot. The resort is newly refurbished and everything holds a very high standard. The staff is AMAZING! Food is great, buffét has a high quality and the a la carte restaurants are very luxurious. Only slight problem to get tables as they were fully booked but we managed. The beach is stunning, clear water, pristine sand. Rooms are super fresh and modern. Strangely enough there isn’t even mosquitos near the hotel, while all other hotels in Zanzibar seem to have a lot. Worth every penny and I can’t wait to go back. Very satisfies.

The hotel is newly rebuild, so everything is modern (European standard) and clean. The restaurants all have a good variety and quality, we (also our kids) always found something delicious. The people were very polite and helpful. The beach and water is beautiful, security is always passing to avoid that local people try to sell souvenirs while relaxing. The only „disadvantage“, the hotel is much bigger and higher than anything in the surrounding and doesn’t fit there…

We spent our 30 anniversary here and the hotel was great. We went on the safari to mikumi with Jack the guide he was the best. We got to see the Loin eatting a Zebra 5 ft from the jeep.
