Cottage, cozy and well equipped. Amazing location, so much to see and do even in late November.

Helmsdale is a beautiful cottage in a fantastic location, just a few minutes walk into the middle of Burley village.
It has a fully equipped kitchen, with an electric oven and hob, and the owner left a helpful welcome pack on arrival. The smaller twin room was made up into a double for our arrival, which suited our party.
There is a croquet game for the garden and other board games and cards available too in the cottage.
The downstairs toilet facility is also helpful as none of the rooms have ensuite facilities, but the family bathroom upstairs is huge, with a large walk-in shower and also has a shower head in the bath too.
Nothing - we had a wonderful stay.

The property was so well equiped. Spacious and clean. Great location for touring, also for walking to the village pubs and cafes .All round excellent place to stay. Nice little welcome pack. We would definitely return

Beautiful house right in the centre of village life.
The house was spotless warm well equipped and nicely decorated for Christmas.
Bathroom was large with bath and shower.
Bedrooms were warm and comfortable.
Wi-Fi DAB radio and Netflix were an added bonous.

Lovely location, we’ve been staying in burley for the last 12/13 years and we’d definitely book here again. It was a lovely homely place which we really relaxed in.
When we turned up on a cold rainy day the heating was off meaning the property was freezing and we were wearing our coats until the property warmed up, it just wasn’t a great welcome, a cold empty house. The bedrooms didn’t have great lighting in by the mirrors either so for people doing their make up it was a case of hoping it looked ok. But these were minor things and overall the property is lovely

Very Comfortable, very well kitted out, all home comforts. Lots of crockery and cooking and baking items. Easy cycle storage with sturdy lock.
Water not hot enough in the shower, hot tap in kitchen splashed a lot. Lack of second bathroom which was listed in advert. A downstairs toilet and sink is not a bathroom.

This was the first house we've stayed in over the last 12 years that met all of our requirements and we loved it so much that we're thinking about returning next summer. The kitchen was fully equipped but still had loads of empty cupboards to store our own cooking equipment and food. The beds and settees were very comfortable and there was lots of space. I appreciated the wide gate as I found it better to reverse the car into the drive making it easier to drive out.
The only problem we had was that our dog is frightened by aircraft noise and this house was on a flight path, however, once inside there was no aircraft noise at all.
