We knew the hotel was looked run down but this was worst then imaginable. The gentleman at the desk gave us a room with a “view” (look at the pictures).

Hotel is overpriced and offers no amenities for a cost per night at the rate of hotels in larger areas. Maintenance of room interiors over time has fallen behind and needs major overhaul. I will not stay here again.

When we arrived we saw a sign that stated the property was being sold. I was greeted by a man who said the new owners had just arrived. The hotel is very run down and in need of an update. Plug ins didn’t work but the room was clean for the condition. It’s been leaking, holes in the wall and tape to cover rips in the carpet etc. The person who checked me in was very nice and stated the hotel was closing and going into new ownership the next day. It made us feel weird to be the only ones staying for the night. Hopefully the place will get a makeover because it’s in a beautiful location.

I want to start by saying that i have been coming to the Pamola since the 90's and i have seen it death spiral since. When we arrived there were "Poperty AUCTION" signs all over the front of the establishment, we went to check in and the office area was abandoned, there was a sign that said to go to the restaurant, which was closed and abandoned also, there was a phone number to call, nobody answered at first and when he did he said he'd be right there 20 minutes later (96 degree heat) he showed up and told us to pay no attention to the signage, "The property was sold". It breaks my heart to see the state of the Pamola in Millinocket.

This is an old-fashioned motel. It's pretty dated and lacks modern amenities. However, it was clean, convenient, the bed was comfortable and Chris, the owner, was extremely responsive. If you find yourself in Millinocket, I would definitely recommend it.

Clean and tidy.

Everything is dated, room price for the night was a bit of price-gouging due to the marathon tomorrow.

Smell of pot in all the hallways. Some things like coffee, clock, phone were missing. No one in office and no way to reach anyone if needed. Will not stay there again

This motel is well worn and not been kept up. It’s dark, dingy and marginal accommodation. Traveling solo it was ok but the bathroom is from 1970’s. Capet is tied and coming up In places. Wall paper is coming off the wall. Musty and dark best describes the room I had. Bed was comfortable and clean sheets and towels limited lights plugs. The small fridge and microwave shared one lug while the a/c unit used the other. For $120/night I expect much better. This is a $70 dollar room. Oh and the doors, locks and keys are questionable. (All beat up and bearly functional).

The guys in the room next to us were out on the balcony screaming and being obnoxious until 01:00 am. When we checked out, there was no one available at the front desk.

A very rundown property. No manager on premises. Promised to refund me two nights, and then did not cooperate with Expedia to do so.

Showing it’s age but it is clean.

No hair dryer. Had to ask for Wi-Fi password as there was no information in the room. No coffee - anywhere, though there is an office, tavern and restaurant on the property. Comfy bed.

I had a good stay at “The Pamola” mainly because the owner and staff were so friendly and accommodating. The motel itself is date and could use some sprucing up n the outside, but the inside was very clean and the beds comfortable. The price was decent.

Pamola provided just what we needed: a reasonably priced hotel near Baxter State Park. The wifi was good, and we appreciated the new shower head. The old outlet receptacles in the room need replacing: our chargers would not stay in them!

Owner seems overwhelmed with time to devote to this business. He was very friendly and very accommodating but needs help with running the office and getting updates to this facility

When we arrived, the office for check in was closed. We got out of the car and walked into the building to investigate and we saw a bar at the end of the hallway. I walked in and the bartender asked us if we're here for check in. This place was unsettled. The room smelled foul with odor of cigarette and mold. The beds were sunken in like a crater. Cracks were all over in the room and in the bathroom. The ceiling in the bathroom is missing a piece of tile and you can see the entire space above the bathroom. The AC unit was outdated from the 70s and is hanged inches from the ceiling and there's no way for one to turn on/off or to adjust the temp. Paint was peeling off the walls. This Pamola Motor Lodge is the worst hotel I have ever seen!

The place needs a major remodel. Holes in the wall, worn carpet, dated rooms. The water pressure was great, though, and our room had a fridge and TV in it. We enjoyed having access to the lounge down the hall.

Don't. Just don't. Spend the extra money and go somewhere else. Had to check in through the bar. Woman barely looked at me. Just shoved a registration form and key across the counter to me. She was too busy talking to a guy at the bar. Shady guy hanging out in the parking lot. Noise from every direction. Everything is old and broken. Peeling wallpaper, cracked refrigerator, and doors that don't close or lock properly. No heat. And to cap it all.off taking a hot shower set off the smoke alarm - twice.
