the staff at this hotel were great very young but did a first class job to make are stay good and they did when you have a 90 year with your it can be hard work but the staff did a wonderful job

Stayed for 5 days- one day of this a wedding was held at the hotel-our room was directly infront of the event (congrats they looked super happy)- noise all day- a disco- kids roaming, stones thrown at our window-it was loud way past midnight- the hotel told me on check out that in future i should call and ask if there is an event in future - seriously- holding such a loud event- put someone attending the wedding in the room we had!!! But apparently it’s up to me to check their arrangements… nope…

Very nice reception, bar and restaurant area. Plenty of parking and the hotel is easily accessible from the road network. Good value for money and breakfast was excellent.

The rooms a little dated. The staff were really good and Eileen in particular was most helpful, when there was a slight problem for one of our party. Overall everything was good.

The reception and service was perfect as always, have stayed many time at this venue. Only thing I wouldn’t do next time is stay for breakfast. Most of the hot food was cold and unable to eat. Never had a bad meal previously, other than the cold food, a great stay.

Tired hotel, staff were great although getting poached eggs at breakfast was a task too far given the chaos of kids on half term.

The room was fine but the bathroom needs a magnifying mirror for shaving and make up. The positioning of the lights over the bed headboards was silly. I couldn't sit up in bed without banging my head on the light!

Great location for travelling to Southampton for a cruise, room was clean and tidy staff was really nice, would stay here again

On arrival I asked for a fridge to be placed in my room. Last time I asked it was delivered within 5 minutes, but this time it never arrived. Also the room was not sufficiently cleaned, with the bathroom floor sticky from previous use and cobwebs on the ceiling.

A lovely stay with good facilities, lashing of hot water, a fridge in the room, great breakfast and attentive staff.
My only complaint was the bed was very firm.

Lovely hotel rooms are a little tired but clean and equipped well for a short stay, breakfast was excellent plenty of choice and a lovely restaurant to eat in didn’t use the bar but as the restaurant it looked excellent, all in all an excellent stay close to the family we were visiting

So we stayed as a mum and daughter with my two boys, we had a family room with a double bed , 2 single sofa beds and a cot and there was still plenty of room. The only downside was that the mattress on one of th sofa beds was very uncomfortable and left my mum with a bad back . When we spoke to the receptionist about it the only response we got was oh sorry but they are meant for children. So clearly the expectation was for myself and my mum to share a bed , which we haven't done in a number of years. There could be a vast diverse number of people coming to stay that may not wish to stay in a bed together and the answer to the problem was not acceptable that it's for children only.

This hotel was a stopover for us, for a cruise from Southampton, found the hotel better then we expected, great position, great staff, lovely bedroom and outlook good, also lovely villages near by. We will definitely use this hotel again.

Booked a double room with double bed
On arrival I was allocated a single bed ! When I asked why and can I change room to what I booked and paid for I was informed that there are no double bed rooms left and if you book through Hotel.com they see it as a request and not a booking ! What a joke needless to say I won’t be staying here again
