Great quote location with good views.

This place leaves a lot to be desired. At first when you walk in, the lobby of the hotel looks modern. But upon entering our room we saw holes in the curtains. There is no AC here even though the hotel advertises it, it’s literally just circulating the same air. At night it feels like they turn down whatever air you are getting and the room gets unbearably hot. We were sweating every single night, our sheets were so wet. We don’t even normally sweat at night but this place was too much, had to sleep on top of the covers and got some of the worst sleep of our lives.. not exactly something you want on vacation when you’re on the go 24/7. On top of that they don’t provide a fridge. What 4 star establishment doesn’t have one? We couldn’t even cool down with cold drinks.. this place is def not 4 star as advertised.

Loved the peaceful location yet easily gotten to the inner city. Plenty of restaurants nearby. The view of the Spree river can't be better!

Close to a metro station and supermarket. Several dining options close by. Quiet.

I wish there was a 0 or negative review option. AC did NOT WORK at all. We have complained endlessly to make it work. People used to walk in and make us hear the sound of AC (a mere machine) running but did not care whether it’s letting out cool air or not. We stayed there for 4 nights and they dis not offer or let us move to a new room. AC did not work on all days and every time they came to check the AC they brought a fan with them. We were left with 3 fans in our room (adding pictures for reference) without AC and we paid a lot for this booking. Not sure how they call themselves a 4 star hotel.

Lovely area, only one stop away from central station. However, the air-conditioning barely worked, making it extremely hot at night when trying to sleep. I did ask about this and was told “yeah it’s a known issue”. Was a bit disappointed that at this price point their air-con isn’t up to standard. Gym was nice but half of the dumbbells were missing. I understand the decision not to have fridge’s in the room, but would rather have one in there.

It was an overall great place would have appreciated some Air conditioning. Opening window was not enough circulating air to keep cool during summer nights

Overall a calm location

The hotel is in a very central location with a 5 minute walk to Bellevue station. Very peaceful being on the river. Clean and chic neighbourhood. My only quibbles- after coming from a similar hotel in Cologne, I would have expected a bar fridge and ITV and BBC on the TV (as the Euros were on)

A fantastic view of Berlin Spree, a short distance to Bellevue station, and nice bar/cafe around within walking distance from the hotel. What else do you need? =))

Would definitely would stay there again. It was a wonderful hotel with all the amenities and we had a breathtaking view.

Everything about our visit was great. One thing that doesn't get acknowledged in most reviews is the excellent location which is right on the Spree and within easy reach of both the underground and the S line train system. It's also within a stones throw of restaurants and the tiergarten park.

The hotel has air conditioning but it doesn't reach the 8th floor. They gave us two fans for each room and it was still too uncomfortable to get a good sleep. Everything else was wonderful and if it wasn't for the AC problem I'd highly recommend this hotel. The AC might be better on the lower floors because it was great in the bar and restaurant.

I felt at home at the Abion hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. The entrance is open and inviting; grab a drink and peruse their library. Lots of places to sit and visit or contemplate your next move. Didn’t eat there because we were on a budget, but wish we could have. Coffee in the rooms a big plus! Cleaning staff were respectful and thorough. The only criticism is the tub/shower didn’t provide enough handles for safety. One had to climb over the tub rim and use the shower; getting out I slipped over the side onto the floor - no handle to let myself down. No harm came of it, but in time someone will not be as lucky!

We loved the view of the canal and charm of the room. Restaurant and bar staff was excellent. Air conditioner sid not work. Day staff was curt. Housekeeping was great but did clean our room once when we had a do not disturb sign up.

Location is a bit out but a three minute walk to the metro including the direct S9 to the airport. The neighborhood is stunning and the river walk by the hotel is a gem. You are also 5 minutes from the beautiful Tier Garten park. Recommended.

Everything was good.

Stayed here for two nights after first arriving to Berlin. It was in a nice quiet yet easily accessible neighborhood with solid food and views. The staff were friendly. The family room I booked was quite roomy and clean though the building itself seemed a bit outdated. The breakfast was a bit pricey though pretty good for what you get. They offered a decent variety of breakfast meats, eggs, breads, cold cuts, etc. The hotel was conveniently located near several restaurants. Overall a decent place to stay.

We had a lovely stay. Our room was a corner with 2 views of the Spree. The neighborhood is quiet and safe and the property is close to the Bellevue metro stop and convenient to buses and trams. The staff are friendly and available 24-7.

Nice hotel well located

Really nice location, right in front of a river. Direct access to jogging/walking path. Really nice local market right next door and about 15 minutes walk fron the main Train Terminal (Berlin HB). 5 min walk from a metro station.

The property could easily be 5*. I image that it is just missing some facility required for this rating. There is a U line tube station 5 mins away with easy access to wherever you want to go. There is also an S line equidistant in the other direction. The only negative is that the bar / restaurant staff are not too friendly, but I guess that they are not directly linked to the hotel and operate as a separate entity. The hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend.

Kind to give me my room early

My wife and daughter enjoyed our stay at the Abion in Berlin. We really appreciated the professional service the staff provided, and the location was perfect. Out suited were clean and comfortable, beautifully furnished and the amenities were excellent. We definitely will stay here again on our next visit to Berlin.

Very nice hotel and area although not very close to main areas as we had expected.

Great location, accessible to central Berlin and airport and with nice riverside views. Helpful staff, clean room and good (if a little pricey) breakfast.

Great property in a beautiful location. Elegant two storey family rooms. The restaurant “Paulaner” has great food and is just around the corner. It’s also about a 20 minute walk from the nearest Big Bus tours stop, which was great.

Very nice hotel and good service. Great breakfast. Stay was very good but the downside is that the WiFi did not work in the room for the entire stay so this was a big negative since I spent a good portion of my stay working.

Great location, close to the public transportation

As pretty as this hotel was, do not stay here in the summer! A/C is non-existent, despite being advertised as having A/C. We ended our stay a night early to book in to another hotel it was so bad. Daytime staff were amicable, but nighttime staff were atrociously rude. When I went down one evening during our stay to ask for a new room with better a/c (spoiler alert - they're all the same) I was told they were completely booked up (on a Tuesday in off season) and I should open a window. Our room had a very pretty view of the Spree, but was definitely dated and the pillows felt like we were sleeping on mashed potatoes.
