Average hotel , staff don’t care your there either way , room was average bed are comfortable but nothing special

The hotel was explanatory. The breakfast was good . My only sorrow is the it didn’t have a proper eating facility,

First time at hotel 20 walk into town decent price for one night

Considering the price, we thought it was a "meh" hotel. The staff was somewhat dismissive of asking for clarification about the check in page to sign. The room was in sort of rough condition. The window had a gap that someone had seemed to stuff with trash to block. The bathroom had a single light bulb that worked of what looked like three should be functional. The second morning, the hot water ran out.

Room was very cold, window was broken and wouldn't shut. Restaurant was a joke, only one menu and held at the bar. Ordered a starter and main course both came to table at same time and apparently that was my fault for not asking for them separately. Oddly the fish goujons came with a sweet chilli dip and no garnish, which killed the taste of the fish which was over fried. The burger that was taken away when I said about eating my starter first came back and was only just warm. Food wasn't as menu apparently in a burger you only get the bun, burger, a shake of cur lettuce and some chips, no tomato or relish. Was offered some by staff when I queried it only for her to come back from kitchen saying they didn't do it. They need to get a printed menu that reflects what they offer.
Generally found staff uninterested and not really aware of their roles. Also they now charge for parking £12.50 a night apparently from beginning of August despite emails and messages about checkin saying it's free.
3.8
The available menu in the restaurant was very limited and 2 of the choices were no longer available. So choice was down to 2 types of burger or a curry. Disappointing.

I chose this hotel for it's location as I was running an ultra marathon the next day (6 am start). The windows were not sound proof and I hear everything happening outside. I didn't get any sleep.

Have to say I was a bit reluctant to stay here from some of the reviews I'd seen lately but have to say it was a most enjoyable stay. The staff were very friendly and polite. The room was clean apart from a few marks on the walls that could do with a lick of paint but that sort of thing doesn't bother me in hotels as long as the bed is clean and comfy. I have back problems so I know a comfy bed. I had a perfect night's sleep. Breakfast was also great. Plenty of choice and great view around the Clyde. Also was perfect for our show in the OVO arena, less than a minute's walk across the road. With kids, this is a blessing.

So Campanile Glasgow,
easy to get to,,parking £12.50 for 24,hrs I was going to pay but reception staff
Told me that I had booked before they changed car park policy they honoured the free parking.
I've seen reviews for rooms and have to disagree room 6 twin, both bathroom and bedroom was clean tidy, cupboard space is small, had tea and coffee, TV . On front of hotel very quiet.
Shower good but door fell off as no bung to stop it. Towel rail been moved but original holes not filled and painted, side table top ok so long as you don't move it(top comes off)
However staff were polite but minimalistic to say the least, young reception lady best of bunch. At breakfast sign said wait to be seated. We did, lady came asked for room number ticked us off list turned and went to kitchen not saying anything, I asked if there was any meat etc for continental breakfast as only half piece of ham left no cheese no croissants left. Answer it ham there and pointed to said bit. I Gave up and went to cooked food, it was ok but sausages looked like Cumberland but tasteless. Whole time we are she was on her phone not interested in any of customers coming and going
Not really sure this was good or bad experience but this is second Campanile that we've been to and not been great
Date of experience: 16 September 2024

The room was clean and served our needs. Although the restaurant was closed, we were able to enjoy a nice meal at the Marriott Courtyard across the street. The staff provided an extension cord that enabled us to use our C-pap machines.

List:
Restaurant closed for dining
Sickly smell in room corridor
Window not locking in bedroom
Mattress hard and uncomfortable
Breakfast running out lots of people this
morning were not fed
Toaster was cutting out and tripping coffee machines
We had to pay 12.00 for parking !!

Had a great birthday weekend in Glasgow, while not city centre uber are cheap or its a nice walk along the riverside, love the bars in Finnieston, and the Sky bar at the adjacent Radisson hotel had incredible views. For the price the hotel is ideal and staff very friendly and accommodating, cant wait to return

Check in was painfully slow, the customer in front of us was told that when she booked online her payment was declined so she just accepted this and paid again. Finially when it was our turn we were told the same that online payment had declined, i assured her it had not... following a long conversation where she disagreed with what site i used to book and the room rate i had paid she accepted that it had went through and said that hotel.com had not made payment to them! There was an awful smell in the lobby near the bar entrance. Bar staff were not very friendly, once i ordered the girl serving me barely looked up and didnt advise how much my order was, she just handed the card machine for payment.
Location wise it is very good, customer service terrible, room was very basic and dated. Will not be returning.

The stay was very good . Clean Tidy room . Staff pleasant .
We have stayed at the Campanile many times over the years going to various concerts .Parked in Hotel car park free . On this occasion we were informed at reception that a new car parking system in place for the Hotel car park . For up to 24 hrs now costs £12.20 . An additional cost we were not expecting . As a result we will not be staying at the Campanile again .

Overall hotel was ok felt like the staff was untrained. Food would of been good if it had actually came out hot found it very over priced for what it was
3.8
While the room appeared clean at first look, we noticed things like red spots looking like blood and other stains on the walls in the bathroom. The ceiling had water damage and was peeling. The bed was not very comfortable and the pillows awful. For the price, it was a place to lay our heads for a night. The free parking was helpful.
3.8
We stayed in a fully renovated bedroom, confortable. However we were suprised the trash was never taken away and the room never cleaned during our stay
3.8
Our room was incredibly small, we barely had enough space for our bags. The quality of the linens and beds were not great and our air con was broken, but it was a safe and quiet space.
3.8
Only okay - very tired and dated and not very clean.
3.8
Breakfast was cokd
3.8
Room was too tight for three guests.

I was in Glasgow for a night to visit friends and booked this due to it's location, free parking and low price on a Sunday. It had everything I needed and more - bar restaurant was available but not used and vending machines in lobby - and the room was clean, functional and quiet. My only comment was that I thought the shower room was a bit tatty, looking like it could do with a re-paint, but it was clean and functional which was all I needed for an overnight visit where I was out and about most of the time, but probably would have been more of a disappointment if I was visiting a new place on holiday as a treat, or planning to spend longer, or had paid more, but overall was satisfied with my stay.
3.8
Ideally placed for Armadillo concert.
Friendly reception staff
Room tiered with toilet seat broken at bolts on the back
Functional and did what we needed for our overnight stay.
3.8
Hotel is very old inside and needs to get a up grade.window in our room was held in place with silver tape .
3.8
Great price, no fuss
3.8
Our room had a number of faults which were reported to the night receptionist. I also contacted the morning supervisor who was extremely helpful and advised on how to complete the complaint and rebate form. This has ben forwarded and will be responsed to in roughly two weeks.
The staff, as always, were pleasant, infromative and helpful. The breakfast was first class with a wide choice of foodstuffs to suit all tests.
We have used the Cakpanile hotel before and enjoyed the rooms, food and staff. We sincerly hope this is a one off ocurrance.
3.8
Staff were very pleasant and helpful.
3.8
Room was good for the price, only thing wrong with our room(202) lock on window was broken and couldn't shut. After coming back from a concert at half 11 we felt it was too late to get anything done.
3.8
Service at reception on arrival good. Service at bar reasonable. Room very basic towels supplied for 2 individuals less than acceptable. Definite smell off bed sheets although clean enough
My opinion would be that for one night it was average however couldn’t say I would return
3.8
No issues perfect for the area. It is basic.
Clean helpful staff would book again no problem.
3.8
Perfect location for the Ovo arena. Only a 1 mile walk from Central Station if coming by train or ample free parking if driving. And only 1 mile from the nearest Wetherspoons too.
3.8
Room was perfectly fine for an overnight stay and perfect location for the SECC and the Hydro and free car park makes this hotel excellent value for money comparing it to other premium brand hotel chains around it
3.8
The window handle in my room was broken. I could not close the window. Noise from traffic outside. Bathroom was worn out and the toilet was not very clean.
Staff were good in reception and in the breakfast restaurant. Breakfast was good too.
Good to have on site parking.
3.8
Ideal if youre going to the hydro or one of the television services (stv, bbc scotland) lovely welcome from the receptionist and also if there is anyhing wrong with your room (the control panel on the air con was faulty) they'll try their best to re-accomodate for you. Definitely would go again if need to.
3.8
Cleanliness was terrible, marks on the sheets, emptying toilet roll in the holder mould in the shower & on the shower head too, marks all over the walls & for the money that was paid to stay there was unbelievable.
3.8
Arrived and got the keys to our room.
Check in was at 3pm. We got there at 3.50 pm, room wasn't ready!!,
Got given another room
Room was dirty, had to sort the duvet cover, mould in the bathroom, wee nails in the door frame of bathroom holding it in place!
Walls are paper thin.
Air con unit sounded like a jet taking off.
Pillows like sacks of tatties( so uncomfortable)
On leaving I waited to hand my key cards in as I couldn't find a quick drop, the reception guy was quick tempered and rude!
3.8
There is a small parking area at the front of the hotel. We were fortunate enough to secure a spot.
We had a standard room. We were given a room with a disabled bathroom. The shower was next to the toilet so when the water was turned on the toilet seat got wet. There was a drain in the middle of the bathroom, however the shower water took quite a while to drain away after the shower was turned off. The water covered the floor up to the door. This meant the floor was wet for several hours, causing a slip hazard and we had to put our shoes on to enter the bathroom after a shower to keep our feet dry. I mentioned this to the lady at reception when we left. I also showed her the photos I took of these issues. She stated that it had been reported before and that she would report it again. She asked me if I wanted to put in a complaint, which I did as I felt sorry for any disabled person putting up with this situation.

It's a good hotel for being near the OVO, the rooms are ok but very basic.
Be warned if you are a female solo traveller you can be made to feel embarrassed at the front desk. I booked a room for 2 but because I was on my own they were trying to make me move to a twin even though I booked a double and my booking clearly stated for two people. The booking was clearly for two people and I felt incredibly put on the spot and pressured into answering that I was on my own. I also want to add that the lobby was full of guests queuing behind me who could visibly hear this conversation whilst I was being questioned about my personal situation. I am sure a male solo traveller would not of been treated this way.
I booked months in advance clearly stating a double and was appaled to be treated this way.
The customers service was poor and I won't be staying again. When I put in a complaint it was handled poorly and even the managers have not even responded to the poor customer service of their staff.
When the events are on they put their rooms up by a lot and they are not worth the money the rooms are better at something like a Travelodge as they are of similar quality. The rooms are small, the amenities are basic so good for one night but not more then that.there are better hotels in the area.
3.8
The bathroom had cracked tile on floor sink was cracked two lights not working in bathroom no hand towels
3.8
The window is not properly sealed, you can hear the outside traffic. Also, the window curtain is ridiculously small not properly covering windows.
The breakfast was minimal, with no vegetables, just scrambled eggs which were very watery... two days and the same menu. The picture of the breakfast on the hotel website is completely misleading.
