This is a good location within easy walking distance to public transportation that can take you anywhere. The underground parking is convenient once you figure it out. The room we stayed in was quiet if just a little bit cramped. However what made the stay special was the friendly desk manager. A tall gentleman he was friendly and helpful and made the stay extra pleasant.

Property is a liile out of the way as it was about a mile and a half from the Opera House. However, I was able to easily walk there. Christmas Markets were in full swing, which was great. Area felt very safe. Room was clean and was very quiet. Breakfast was great, except for the day the coffee machine wasn't working. The little Italian restaurant nearby (mostly a take away place) had excellent food. Taxi was a little pricey to get there from the train station. I used Bolt on the way back, which was much more reasonable.

Everything was ok, breakfast was awesome

A room is quite large. There are one bed room with double bed and closet and another large room with sofa bed and closet. There are one small refrege and one wash room with large shower room and one separate toilet. These 2 rooms are partially surrounded by one balcony. The parking space is available downstairs. I would say everything is there in this hotel. Some people complained eating places are kind of far, but I would say if u walk 1km from the hotel, there are such eating places as delicious Tailand restaurant called Bangkok, Chinese, Indian, German ones and so. Furthermore from either a tram or subway stations away in abt 400m each from the hotel, u could reach in 10 minutes the city of Konstablewache where u could find more restaurants and shops. Abt 700m away from the hotel there is a supermarket where u could find almost all groceries and drug store mearby. Room charge is quite reasonable especially for families and I, Japanese will come back to Frankfurt with my large family some day and surely stay in this hotel. Also, I thank very much the hotel personells who found my glasses which I could not find in the room and arranged to send them to Japan by DHL air-courier, which is to be delivered soon.

Very comfortable. Bed was firm, well supplied. Felt like a well thought out hotel.

Lovely hotel with friendly and helpful staff.

The room was comfortable and clean and seemed to be newly renovated. There was a large window to open to a park like area with a beautiful sunset and birdsongs. We didn’t have the breakfast which was 16euros. It was a few minute walk to the #14 team which goes to downtown and the train station.

Pity there was no lobby bar...

Property feels dated. It is advertised that they have Steam and Sauna which is why we selected this hotel but both we not operational. The breakfast was below average and were not accommodating to vegan/vegetarian requests saying "We are a German hotel and this is all we have". We had to regularly request for soap, tissues etc. because it was not properly stocked in the room during daily housekeeping. Location is average. Check-in and Check-out was quick.

This was my umpteenth time staying at Hotel Alexander! Meanwhile It’s my home away from home when in Frankfurt. Always consistently and predictably clean, organized, welcoming, professional and breakfast included!

The sweets at the reception and the beds were comfortable and clean. They also changed the sheets and washed the bathrooms daily. It is also reasonably priced for what they offer

Clean comfy hotel would stay again

The Alexander bills itself as a fine small hotel in the city and it is just that. Nice attention to design. Quite comfortable and very good value. Nice breakfast! Friendly and courteous staff. Lovely to hear the birds in the nearby zoo in the morning. Close to a tram line into center city. Highly recommended.

This was our 2nd stay at Alexander am Zoo and it was just as pleasant as the first time. Excellent breakfast, friendly staff and overall good value for a downtown hotel in Frankfurt.

This hotel is near the city mall, stores, restaurants and train transportation and more. It is a very convinient places with a private parking and excellent buffet breakfast.
