Great place to stay...and will stay again....but a big issue for us, is that the blinds let a lot of light in at night.
With a 12 month old...this was a big issue, as it kept her up all night !
Was like daytime....due to outdoor lighting next to the bedroom window .
Black out curtains to the bedrooms would make this place absolutely perfect....but would be a costly exercise to do every cabin !!

Fantastic property and you live life king size. Minor issues with plumbing but fixed on the spot. Access to beach, pool and airport.

Would have been great to have a coffee shop/kiosk on premises. Wonderful place to take young kids though. Just outstanding

Everything was pretty good, But a bbq at our cabin would have been better as a family of four and husband trying to cook for us all, fresh towels would of also been great as I had to wash towels when I didn’t really want to do after having surgery.

Nice and close to beach and amenities. Great place for kids. Only thing that lets it down is that it is on the flight path from about 6am until 10pm. We really enjoyed our stay.

Upgraded from a standard room to a premium room. Cost to upgrade was quite excessive. Facilities were great. Weather wasn't the best so couldn't use the pool or beach access. Standard room could have better heating system.

The shacks were perfect for our group who have mobility issues. The staff were great. The pool was lovely. It was unfortunate that there was a power outage and storms, so we were not able to use the pool for the duration of our stay. This was of no fault to anyone. We will certainly revisit in the future

We like what the park has to offer for the kids, as for the inside of cabin the couches were very dirty and I didn’t want to even sit on them.
We didn’t have power for 2 days due to weather and was not informed once power was turned on like they said they would do.
We also lost most of our food and drinks in our fridge due to this

Great stay but for a new cabin was pretty disappointing that the doors for the bedrooms wouldn't close, they were that stiff that if you did you probably wouldn't be able to open them

From the moment we entered the property we were verg unpressed with the look of the park. The only minor inconvenience was that you had to walk through the second bedroom to access the bathroom. I would, and have already, recommended The Retreat to my family and friends.

Our 3 night stay was lovely, kids had lots of fun with the pool and slides, games room. Lots of lovely open space for kicking footy, secure access to the beach, and within a lovely beach front walk to surf club. Lots of activities to do around the area.
Staff were lovely.
Our tv was fixed very promptly after arrival.
Could have more taps to wash off near beach entrances.

The park was clean. The pool looked great. Safe and secure. Friendly staff. The noise from adjoining units was loud and the overhead planes were VERY loud when trying to sleep

Comfortable & clean unit with all that you need for a relaxing time away from the hum drum of work.. Close to the beach & sea side walking track.. Unit could have had a oven not just a microwave.. Otherwise it is good value for money ..

we wished we had more time to spend at the park it was well set up close to everything you wanted the cabin was very clean comfortable and everything you needed for a great stay. We will be back again for a longer stay

The rooms and villa are very spacious and had everything we needed and very quiet not right in top of other units. The grounds were great, we stayed because of the playgrounds as we have a 3.5yr old. We have stayed here several times and the uprgades are great however the new wooden playground is not toddler friendly they cant climbing to the slide as there are no steps only ropes so i had to lift her everytime and all the equipment is way too high and spaced apart for little arms and legs to climb, so we mainly used the old playground as it was easily accessible for kids.
