The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was small; the towel holder was rusted. The air conditioner was so noisy we had to turn it off at night in order to sleep. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The breakfast buffet was nice. Like most hotels in Ortigia, the parking was about about a half mile away—long to drag suitcases!

Very nice hotel in Ortigia, in a quiet location between the sea and the centre. The staff were helpful with information about parking prior to our stay, and responded quickly. Our studio was spacious with a view of the sea, and the bed was very comfortable. A great experience all round!

This is a beautiful new property, really lovely renovation of several joined houses. But it's twisty and oddly planned, for example the breakfast room is in a far corner, rather than centrally located. The staff is friendly but not as helpful as we'd like. (They said they'd order a taxi to pick us up from the bus station, but didn't.) Our room was very nice, but missing some basics: there was an outlet and light on only one side of the bed, there were not enough hooks in the bathroom for towels and cloths. Also the bathroom was poorly designed and a bit dingy. The property is in a pedestrian zone and not near a bus stop, and there are sketchy streets and alleys nearby.

I loved Lanterne Magiche Ortigia. The staff were patient and kind and gave me advice for exploring Siracusa. If you need a taxi to the train station, they’ll book one for you! My suite was comfortable and clean, and I enjoyed the rooftop terrace on several evenings.

An exceptional property - absolutely beautiful and so close to the main square and the beach. The staff and breakfast was just unbelievable.....We love Siracusa because of places and people like these. LOVED IT!

Thoroughly enjoyed our two nights stay. The staff was extremely professional and nice. They arranged taxi and tuk tuk rides. Their breakfast was a great way to start our mornings.

An excellent place to stay in Ortegia. Our room was very comfortable, clean, and relaxing. The hotel staff was outstanding...professional, kind, and helpful. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the lady keeping it stocked was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Thought it was fab. We were there off-season (Nov. 25) but still liked our stay. I even went for a swim at the bottom of the staircase leading down to the water a block from the hotel. We stayed in Room 9 which has an attached balcony with water views. Fantastic.
