Prime location. Cute and clean.
Very loud and noisy. There seemed to be no AC in the room (Captains Suite) and at night you cannot open the windows due to the bar noise. Two bedroom suite with no couch to watch TV with the family.

The walls were very thin so we could hear everything happening outside. There was not a ac unit, and the shower was not cleaned. The location was great.

Nice older hotel but updated (built in 1937) on the main street in downtown Pismo Beach just a block up from the beach and pier. You can easily walk to most of downtown. The room was nicely appointed with a fireplace stove as the room heater. It has a somewhat charming old-style elevator with a grate door that is a bit finicky - if the last person using it does not properly close the grate door, the elevator is stuck on that floor and is unavailable for others to use - a staff member must then locate what floor it's on and fix it. This happened twice during our two-day stay. But the hotel was comfortable, had free coffee available all the time, and convenient to the downtown area
Some upgrades of the elevator would be advised. I think they keep it as is - it does work - because it has some charm. But it's quirks make it a bit unreliable.

Very quiet, no surrounding noises of other rooms. The Wood stove like electric heater added to the ambiance. Everything was in walking distance, didn't have to drive anywhere.

The staff was accommodating and friendly. I was in Pismo for an off-season stopover and could make the most of my short stay, thanks to the help of the staff.
The room was super comfy and clean and had a "coming home" vibe.
Right next door is a small cafe where you can get wonderful waffles in the morning.

Heater didn't work ,had to change rooms. Bed was uncomfortable..

The apartment that we stayed in was very private, and really cozy.
The shower could’ve had more of an inclosure so water wouldn’t make such a mess.

The location is ideal. The elevator is uncommon and rustic. Room was cleaned daily. Parking was great!
The room was cramp. The bathtub of the shower/tub combination was not safe. It is huge and a short person cannot step over the tall bathtub. The noise from near by Harry’s club will keep you awake late. The couch was very uncomfortable. The bed was to soft. There was no room in the bathroom for my wife to put on her face. The bedroom did not have enough room for a suitcase nor to hang clothes and then to be able to walk around the room. If you like cramp quarters this is the place for you. Not for me.

Location was perfect. Room was beautiful and clean. Staff was very friendly.
elevator kept getting stuck because both doors have to close in order for it to work and people do not know how to read directions.

The room was extremely hot and unbelievably noisy. Very difficult bathroom with a huge washstand making it impossible to sit straight on the toilet seat or access the bath/ shower unless you went through sideways. We are not large people and it was ridiculous.

We had a great stay at the Pismo Beach Hotel, the location was perfect, the room was clean, and the staff was awesome!

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was very comfortable. The only down side was the bar next door played music until about 1:30 but after that it was perfect. They only serve coffee but there is a private little cafe next door that has the best waffles.
