Close to home, okay pool, staff was nice

Wat to much chlorine in pool, and water pressure in the shower was the worst I've ever had in a hotel.

General manager was snarky on morning of 6/29. I explained to her that we didn’t sleep from 730pm the night prior to 630am the morning of. They had placed a very disruptive family next door to us in room 315. Manager said we should have called down to the office. I used the chat option to avoid an awkward call. Do not provide a chat options for your guests and state that the response time is within minutes if you are not going to use it. This family was LOUD, tv was up loud, one of the kids was moaning and telling. Something was being bounced off the wall at times, like a ball. I asked to be comped for our first night for we didn’t sleep at all Friday evening.

General manager was unprofessional. When we arrived on Friday, both desk employees weee smoking outside in the parking lot and we had to wait for to finish. Bathroom sink was clogged and black stuff kept coming up from the drain. Left side room bed comforter had something spilled all down the side of it. We asked for a new white comforter and the kid gave us a brown small blanket. Parking was terrible.

We always enjoy this particular Wingate when visiting family in Pennsylvania. We love getting a two-room suite so we can all visit comfortably. We drive our EV on this trip, and the Wingate has two (non-Tesla) chargers. Luckily we were able to get hooked up our first night, because it took most of the weekend to charge our car sufficiently to head back home. Most of the chargers in this area are for Tesla, so being able to charge was very important to us.

Very clean hotel from common space to rooms. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great to have coffee available all day. Bathroom products were also appreciated.

Breakfast could have been a little better, but overall, still great for the value.

I always stay here when I’m in town visiting my grand children. Staff is very accommodating and rooms are super clean. Anything I’ve ever asked of housekeeping has been done with a smile
