Very good services, possibility to rent or to charge e-bike

Location is great

Hotel is listed as a 4* but really isn’t. Beds were comfy but not at the same height so it strange sleeping as a couple. on Friday you have to be lucky to experience a full breakfast, as for us a lot they run out of. on Saturday and Sunday the breakfast was good though. The swimming pool is used for swimming lessons, so you are unable to use it all the time. Sauna needs for be paid for. Bar and restaurant are expensive and empty apart from the breakfast. Thuisbezorgd ‘isn’t allowed’, but if the restaurant was priced better, people don’t have to go elsewhere for dinner. Lastly, hotel is pretty ran down.

The carpet was filthy as hell… We felt that management was trying to budget expenses, being the most ecological country plastic glades in the bathroom and paper mugs in the bedroom, if you pay for the normal price (120€/ night) you expect more quality. And definitely more cleaning. Dogs are allowed, 15€ per dog per night… a complete abuse … having seen the carpet condition.. the dog slept on the bed. my dog was cleaner than the carpet. the second day we made some sandwiches for the day, the cleaners did not cleaned the desk, beds were done and towels changed, tho. I just believe this place is a little bit expensive for what you get.

clean and nice hotel to stay

Nice location in the woods, ideal for long walks, room was spacious, comfortable and clean, dinner was very good, breakfast ok, the staff were all very helpful and courteous, free parking in front of the hotel.

The price of the breakfast

Twin room and triple room were both of decent size, with comfortable beds. The shower area was clean and large. Parking is very accessible, with many spaces. Swimming facilities and a snooker table is also available. The surrounding woodlands are very peaceful. The wifi is also good. I enjoyed the aesthetic of the eating areas. Staff generally friendly and fulfill requests promptly. Good command of English. Balcony in the triple room. On Google maps it looks like the middle of nowhere, but the road to the hotel is well lit and easy to access. Tv in both rooms with good selection of channels.

The twin room had carpet flooring, which was extremely dirty and stained. This is unacceptable, unhygienic, and my parents were not pleased. Also the towels had a strange smell although they were cleaned. Room service took used towels which we left outside the room but did not replace them. Reading negative reviews we skipped breakfast at the hotel and ate the nearby town of Meppel (20mins drive).

The pool was lovely. The location is great.

Some of the staff were very nice. Some not at all. We paid for breakfast when we checked in. This was questioned twice. Annoying. We came down for dinner on Saturday evening and a blonde waitress questioned whether we were ‘allowed’ to be there. Very unwelcoming. The other waiting staff were very nice. Breakfast could be better. What about a toaster?

Rooms should be more clean especially bathrooms. They smell bad. i recommend tto maintain them propely. Other than that all good

The steak in the restaurant was inedible as a result of which my husband almost suffocated - he could not breathe because the indigestible meat got stuck in his trout . He fell to the ground and could not breathe, Luckily , of as a result of the fall , the meat fell out, and the man survived. We had to leave restaurant , because of this accident. we did not finish our meals of course. May husband felt bad , I had to look after him. We are very upset about the attitude of the restaurant staff un reception. The did not apologize . I told his story also to the reception. The lady asked how can she help, when I said how....there was absolutely no reaction. We had to pay for all meal , what we did not finish because of bad quality of meat . Only the stake was removed from the bill. We are very disappointed with this attitude.

The staff was super friendly and true to hospitality that a leasure stay is meant to offer. That heated pool was definitely an add on to the ambience of nature and soulful bliss. Would love to book again whenever I need a for a quite time away within a couple of hour's drive.

Very nice rural location. Hotel was fairly quiet when we were there. We had a room with a balcony which was nice but decor is a little dated. Breakfast was Ok but little choice for vegan. Disappointed with lack of options.
