i believe the apartment would be more suited to 2 adults, 2 kids, not 4 adults, however, Barbara is lovely and helpful. Location good and pool beautiful,

When we found this property we could not believe it . The garden with your own pool an outside kitchen with barbecue the neighbourhood is so smart and quiet It’s only a short walk into Hole Town , we loved it

We just returned from a 10 night stay at the Diamond Oasis. The property exceeded our expectations. Our hostess, Barbara,. was instrumental in making our stay fabulous!! She was nearby. She was always available and extremely helpful. She anticipated our needs. She even purchased eggs, bread, milk and coffee for our arrival. We got terribly lost leaving the car rental at the airport. Barbara actually drove down and rescued us!!! We followed her car back to our lodging. I am eternally grateful to her. Our lodging was fully furnished.Every morning we would see the wild monkeys. We spent a lot of time at the Sandy Lane Beach . We loved Barbados.We loved the Diamond Oasis and especially Barbara! Karen Haagensen Madison,WI., USA

The highlight is definitely the pool and that part of the garden. The apartment is in the basement of the property with little natural light. Before arriving I specifically asked if the 'secluded' garden was overlooked. I was told it wasn't, and therefore disappointed to see up to 8 windows with visibility of the pool and 3 CCTV cameras in use. Previous advice on carrying a torch if walking home after sunset proved to be a must. Suggest a small rewrite of the description.

The apartment is very nice. Well equipped, clean and updated. The pool area is beautiful as is the gazebo with large grill. Short walk into Holetown but be careful as there is no sidewalk. A flashlight at night is a must. Barbara is an excellent host and whenever we had a question or needed something she responded immediately.

Lovely accommodation with fabulous pool we even saw a family of monkeys pass through one day. The garden was lovely and we had this all to ourselves. Around the pool were the best sunbeds with really thick cushions so very comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable and the kitchen well equipped for our needs. We hired a car which we kept for the whole time as we felt it was a necessity to get home in the evening after dinner as road home was uphill fast and dark. Barbara was a lovely host and made us extremely welcome.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The apartment was well equipped, and Barbara was on hand if we needed her. Having the pool to ourselves was brilliant, and we enjoyed barbecuing by the pool a couple of evenings. The location is very close to Holetown and the beaches, but in a quiet neighbourhood . A great find.

The property is very nice - just as advertised and Barbara was lovely and helpful from beginning to end . I’m sad to leave ! There was a minor fault with something which she didn’t know about till we told her and she got the repair man out quickly next day It’s well located - a fifteen min walk into Holetown with supermarkt , shops , restaurants and beaches and to an excellent bus service on the west coast Reataurant recommendations: zacchios, champneys, Tides, La Cabane (new in last 3 years), lone ranger, QP bistro (reincarnation of thr cliff bistro ) Masseys is owned by Waitrose and you can get most things there - certainly waitrose own brand - that you can get in the UK Decent wine is hard to come by unless jn the upmarket restaurants . Consider taking a bottle or two. The best of Masseys fine wine selection is the equivalent of a bog standard Marlborough sauvignon Check out the monkeys at 6.20 am near the house or in the mornings near the old nine hole golf course And enjoy honing your grilling skills with the brilliant outdoor grill Marvellous stay Thank you Barbara Will return

Property exactly as described in a quiet area but walking distance to Holetown beach, shops and restaurants. Just over 10 minutes in flip flops to the Limegrove center (few minutes more on uphill return) and although no pavement, we didn't feel unsafe with the traffic. Torch a necessity for night-time. Private pool was wonderful and the gas BBQ very useful. The host Barbara is friendly and welcoming and was also very flexible with our booking, something needed in these current times! Greatly enjoyed our first visit to Barbados, a lovely island and friendly people. Thoroughly recommend Diamond Oasis if you're looking for relaxation but close enough to all facilities needed.

Beautiful place to stay in a quiet location but only a 15 minute walk to the centre of everything including the beach. If you get up at 6 am you will see about 20 green monkeys around the garden and there babies its magical. The apartment has everything you need. Great barbecue under the gazebo where we ate many a night. The pool lights up and has a waterfall that comes on certain times of the day. The beach has a great place to eat called Zaccios reasonably priced and really good food. The lime grove centre has some lovely places to eat and not over expensive. The bus trip to Carlisle Bay in Bridgetown is a must. There is a place called the boatyard on the beach its 60 Barbadian dollars and you get a sunbed a swim with the turtles and food and drink we did this twice best value for money you can get. Just be aware the masseys supermarket is really expensive but the rum is cheap so all is good. I recommend a torch for coming back up the hill at night. If you want a little bit of paradise then this is the place to come, you have the peace and tranquility in beautiful gardens and only a stroll away from where everything is happening and last but not least Barbara is the most perfect host the nicest person you could meet. Barbara met us at the property. She was so kind and took us into Holetown to get groceries. The place was very clean and private. We felt completely safe. Only downside is the walk to Holetown can be dangerous as Highway 1A is a busy road with fast drivers. We mostly took a taxi to get around, which is where I spent most of my cash. Highly recommend!!!

We stayed here for a week and had the most fabulous time. The property was clean and spacious with everything we needed. The outside area was well managed and the pool was fab. The short walk to the town (about 10 minutes or so) was not a problem and Holetown has all the bars, restaurants and shops you will need. There is also a main road through Holetown, will little yellow buses that takes you into Bridgetown in 20 minutes for 3.5 Bajan dollars. Will defiantly be coming back. James & Lynne

We had a great stay at this apartment! Everything was clean and had all the amenities needed. The location was also great for just a short ride to the beach but also to explore other areas. I would recommend a stay here. as other reviewers suggest, a car is favourable.

The property with its private pool lives up to its title of an Oasis, The rooms are spacious clean, tidy and the decor in the lounge and dining area has an ambient relaxed atmosphere. The kitchen facilities are suffice, although a microwave may be a useful addition. There are two apartments, each have there own pool. I was in the lower apartment and the pool/garden area added to the enjoyment of my stay two minor points for me were the bathroom shower/sink needed to be run for while before hot water came through but once aware of this it was just a case of a short wait. The other point is the location which for some guest may require a car if they do not like to walk into the town/ beach. This is a 15 minute walk which I enjoyed (up hill on your return) but as there is no paving or lighting on part of the walk some may find it a concern. I had a torch so no problems! For me this was far outweighed by the quality of the property and having a private pool. Barbara the owner was friendly and offered to run me into town if required or arrange for a cab (10 US dollars). Some guest may wish to hire a car, however once you are in Holetown buses are frequent and very cheap to tour the west coast. On arrival Barbara had provided some basic groceries to welcome me with an unexpected gift! Overral for me I have rated this as a 5star as it suited my needs and wishes. It was a pleasure to meet Barbara who was around if needed otherwise stays in the background leaving you to enjoy the peace and tranquility. certainly on my list to go back at some point for another relaxing break!

The photos don't do Diamond Oasis justice! It's spacious and pristine. The kitchen is very well equipped, and the barbecue is great. We were in a bit of trouble when there was an (apparently very rare) island wide power outage - so no lights and no a/c, as this apartment is in the basement. But Barbara was brilliant and even let us use the upstairs apartment as it was unoccupied and had windows. When the a/c is running, the rooms are really comfortable. Barbara is a fantastic host. She was in regular contact, and always around to help with any issues - although we still felt like we had complete privacy. She gave us a little tour of the Holetown area on our first night, and even dropped us off at lunch when we had trouble arranging a taxi. The outdoor space is beautiful and feels very secluded, and the pool is just perfect for lounging in and cooling off. The neighbourhood feels very safe and secluded. Nobody seems to walk anywhere in Barbados, but we did toddle up and down the hill to Holetown most days. Just be careful, especially in the dark, as there's no pavement most of the way and the road is bendy. Diamond Oasis is absolutely perfect, and we would love to return one day! Thank you Barbara!

Spent excellent 9 days here Sept 2019 with my daughters. Would we stay here again, yes definitely. Why? Because it was a nice, clean, spacious accommodation with a lovely swimming pool which was used most days, even though the beach was only a 15-20 minute walk away. Barbara's a lovely lady, excellent communication with her from the start of the booking. When we arrived she explained everything, provided the essentials (tea, coffee, milk. eggs etc) and also drove us to the supermarket and gave us a quick tour of our location. The police station, magistrates court, banks was all close by. It was about a 15 minute walk to Limegrove shopping centre, supermarkets, restaurants, bars, etc and easy to get the bus to Bridgetown. Had a really relaxing time here in a quiet area with local town close by and yes we saw the Monkeys! We enjoyed the short walk to the town even though it was down/up hill but dont let that put you off (we only got a taxi once).

Barbara...was the perfect host...she was very considerate and helpful. The apartment and surrounding area was the perfect place to unwind and relax...especially the gorgeous pool and garden, we used the bbq in the lovely gazebo on numerous occasions...buying local produce from Jordans and Masseys. We hired a car for the two weeks from Holetown cars,,thankyou to Carlton would reccomend..it was dropped off and picked up as was prior arranged and booked before we went. Glad we did as the walk down hill and back up especially would have been taxing. We explored the beautiful Island from North point in St Lucy to bethsheba bay and South to Bridgetown,and Browns beach (carisle bay) as well as mumerous stops explroring along the West coast. Our favourite beach was Alleynes in Mount Steadfast 7min drive away. Speightstown pier and village and Arlington museum was lovely too. We visited St Nicholads Abbey and Morgan lewis windmill as well as Hunts botanical garden..the monkey sanctuary was a lovely day out. Museum in Bridgetown very informative...the Chattel house shops in Holetown and the One love bar on a sunday evening. Also Oistins on a friday evening. Places to eat locally we favoured Zaccios and Just grilling for their delicious bbq ribs. All in all a really enjoyable holiday.. plus the Bajan people were very friendly and helpful in all areas of the Island.

The owner Barbara is a lovely lady who is willing to help at anytime. The location of the property is very peaceful and quite and about a 15 min walk to Lime Grove. Walking back to the property at night is probably best not advised as there is no street lighting or footpaths, a local taxi back to the property will cost around $20.Overall a wonderful place to stay.

Second year we have stayed here. Last year we got engaged in Barbados and this year we had our wedding in the lovely garden and pagoda which came with the apartment. From start to finish Barbara was fantastic, she took all the worry of a wedding abroad away. A fantastic day was had by us and all our friends who joined us. I would highly recommend this venue for anyone looking for a unique personal wedding. We are booking again for our anniversary next year. Many thanks Barbara.
