A beautiful property. Spacious and well equiped. Warm and comfortable. The location is perfect for touring North Devon and Exmoor

A few points which would be helpful for future guests
The baby gate, I fell three steps into thin air on the first night as I hadn’t realised that once one opened the gate there were still three steps left to walk down. I fractured my patella. I wonder how many other guests experienced a fall. It is a hazard.
We had a power cut there were no candles they would have been much appreciated.
The house was warm and clean in a wonderful setting.

A great family home, well-equipped and in a great location to explore the North Devon coastline.

A lovely location with beautful views and nice to have the sheep around. Lots of space for our group of 8.
Very clean and comfortable beds.

Amazing location and lovely accommodation. We wished we were able to stay longer to be able to explore this expansive and beautiful place. Very dog friendly with lots of walks to explore.

As soon as I turned into the lane I knew I'd booked somewhere special, and the photos don't do it justice. This is a stunning property in a remote location but within easy reach of many local attractions. Be careful of the drive in though if approaching from the East on the A39 there is an extremely steep hill just past Minehead. We had 7 adults and 5 children and all slept comfortably in the spacious bedrooms. Everything is provided for including 2 ovens in the well equipped kitchen. We all had a fantastic holiday with lots of laughs. Oh, and although there is WiFi it is quite weak and there is NO phone signal so prepare to have reduced contact to the outside world.

Beautiful area, stunning views, great location for various other places to visit. Excellent layout of accommodation for our needs (twins, parents, grandparents, friend). Friendly farmer, farm dogs that the boys fell in love with. Will certainly recommend.

Beautiful house, plenty of space, fantastic location, stunning scenery. Loved it

Beautiful place remote and fantastic walks, highly recommend this place we all loved it including the dogs, must do the walk to the beach and it’s so close to all the places that are lovely to go to, but if you have dogs make sure you take a tick remover or they have the tablet before they go

Best of all was the stunning location and beautiful walks right from the door. The walk to Glenthorne Beach is gorgeous, if a little challenging. The walk to Culbone Church is delightful, not difficult. We also walked numerous times to County Gate and Sugar Loaf and also to the Roman Fortlet.

Fantastic house in a fantastic location. Amazing walks straight from the door, walking to Porlock Weir was my favourite day of the week. We were also lucky enough to encounter a Peregrine Falcon a little way up the lane! Highly recommended :)

Fantastic locale for walkers and hikers , not for the unfit or unstable . Spectacular views . Most of accomodation very good , the two twin bedrooms have no wardrobes and the two beds in downstairs level twin room creak and keep you awake. Information pack is ideally comprehensive . Lovely linen and bath towels but no hand towels ,could have brought our own had we known. Brilliant kitchen area , everything you need and large ! Very private area , pretty exclusive but only 15 minutes from busy holiday towns in each direction.

Fantastic location and wonderful views of the sea from the gardens and kitchen window.
The property was spotless and had every amenity you could wish for. We were a party of 8 and there was more than enough space for all of us.
We have already recommended the property to our friends and are loooong to go back next year.

Fantastic location, loads of walks close by, amazing space for a sociable meal together and an evening by the fire.

If you are looking for a stunning location with good quality accommodation, then Yenworthy is perfect.

If you are wanting total seclusion with spectacular views, this is the place. It is central point to explore both North Devon and Somerset, as it is situated on the border. Absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend.
4.8
Lovely house and beautiful location.
The small details helped, there were some t bags and toilet rolls etc so we didn’t have to rush out to the shops.
House worked beautifully for us as we were two families x

Lovely location right next to the coast, very spacious property, comfortable with great showers and comfortable beds, ( very important! )
The only negative is that the property is advertised as having WiFi. Unfortunately this was very poor or non existent at times, especially in the evenings. I think that this should be mentioned in the listing.
But we had a great time, and loved the area.
Lynton and Porlock are within easy reach, just watch out for Porlock Hill, extremely steep gradient. Make sure your brakes are working well!

Remember to take enough staple food, bread, tea, coffee milk etc. Until you can get to a store

Set in beautiful countryside on a working farm, the mill is an idyllic place for a group get-together. The accommodation is spacious with a kitchen and living area on the ground floor, a mezzanine floor upstairs offers another area for relaxation or TV. The bedrooms are on two separate floors, 2 bedrooms (one en suite) downstairs and 2 on an upper floor with a bathroom. The kitchen is well stocked with crockery, cutlery, and pots and pans. Add to this good quality cooker, 2 ovens, microwave, dishwasher and it is perfect for cooking and catering for the 10 people it accommodates. The owners are on hand if you need them and are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this property for walkers, or just a place to chill in peace and quiet. Porlock is a short drive one way and Lynmouth the other. But you could just wander all day on the farm and down the valley to the sea.

Six adults, four kids and two dogs were easily dealt with by 'The Mill', which is spacious and well equipped. The farm area itself offers lots of interesting short walks, the one to the beach is easy going down....
Great 'getaway from it all' location, which is sometimes reflected in mobile 'phone reception but it's a small price to pay. Highly recommended.

Such a beautiful place to stay, the location is stunning. We particularly enjoyed the walks from the cottage, an evening stroll to see the beautiful sunset was so rewarding. On our last day we walked from the cottage to Lynton, a little challenging but so worth it. This coastal walk has amazing views. Would definitely love to stay again, very well equipped and the large fridge freezer is so useful.
4.8
The house is beautiful but we were really blown away by the location. Stunning views out over the sea, easy access on footpaths out into the woods and down to an isolated beach and lots of things do to nearby for the kids.
4.8
The house is spacious, clean and well equipped in a beautiful peaceful location with good walks from the door

The location with access to spectacular countryside and views is fabulous. The house is very well set up for a family or group with two spacious areas to spend time altogether or to be separate if needed. The bathrooms are modern and clean, plenty of hot water. The kitchen is very well equipped and the garden is really pretty. Can not fault it.
4.8
The Mill and location were ideal for our family of 6 adults, 4 children plus an infant. Stunning views, geat weather, bird song and zero road traffic noise. The bedroom layouts worked perfectly for everyone, parents, grandparents and children. The kitchen/dining area was just right for us too. As we mostly cooked and ate at the Mill we generated a lot of food and packaging waste, clear recycling facilities (if possible) would have been be a great enhancement.

The Mill House is spacious. High vaulted ceiling in the living area. Smart TV on higher level seating area. Lots of sofa space and seats around the long dining table. Well equipped kitchen but lacking storage space for food! Good size fridge freezer. Bedrooms are spacious with drawers and wardrobes in the double rooms and drawers in the twin tooms. Powerful showers. Plenty of clean towels for everyone. Parking space for 3 cars just by the gate.
The views from the garden to the fields and sea, through the gap in the hedgerow, are beautiful. The gardens are secure for medium/large size dogs. Small dogs may slip through bars in the gate or under gate. Watch the gates are closed when first letting dogs out as they were left open on occasion by somebody working on the farm. Direct access to the farm fields beyond the top garden tier. Once up the hill, the views of open meadows, woods, deer in the distance and Wales across the Bristol Channel are breathtaking. Access to many footpaths going in all directions.
We walked to the beach from the farm but it's quite a trek down a steep, wooded footpath. The beach is beautiful with lots of large boulders and stones, not sandy. There is a lovely waterfall running from the valley stream directly onto the beach. Lots of interesting villages to explore wihin 30 mins drive. Beautiful valley walks nearby. We were sad to leave and our dogs had an amazing holiday too.
4.8
The walk down to Glenthorne beach is well worth the effort! The cream teas in Horner are excellent and the walk through Horner woods is really worth doing either before or after! If you want to go to Watersmeet then walk up the valley from Lynmouth as it is a great walk to a lovely location.

This is an ideal place to stay for a family get together. Six adults and four children had plenty of room, the mill is very well stocked with everything you need for a self catering holiday.
We arranged a Tesco grocery delivery and there was plenty of room in fridge/freezer and cupboards for all our supplies. There's plenty of crockery, pots, pans, casserole dishes etc., can't think of anything that was missing at all.
The owner was very helpful and is on hand if you need anything at all.
The accommodation is quite remote and down a narrow road, fortunately we didn't encounter a car coming in the opposite direction as there are only a couple of passing places.
We had an excellent week and would recommend this as a good base to explore the area. We really liked Lynton and Lynmouth, some really nice places for any time of the day for food, a couple of nice pubs, and an excellent fish and chip shop down by the harbour that has an inside seating area. There's also plenty of rock pools to explore.
Woolacombe is about 50minutes drive and has everything you need for a beach day, as does Croyde which is just along the coast.
Ilfracombe Tunnel Beaches are good for an overcast day with plenty of rock pools to explore (there is an entrance fee)

Very nice location to go hiking not far in the surrounding area. Superb nature !
Friendly pubs with good food.
Lynton, Lynmouth, Porlock and Dunster are interesting finds.

We couldn't fault the accommodation at all. Fantastic rural location and really well equipped. Everything spotlessly clean. Hosts on hand to offer advice re walks, places to eat etc. For our group of ladies celebrating a big birthday, it couldn't have been better. Lots of activities locally to keep us happy, including kayaking, hiking, mountain biking etc. Might even bring the husbands next time !

We enjoyed an idyllic few days in this beautiful location. The property was great for us, our three children and partners and two grandchildren. Lovely peaceful location and well located to explore this part of Devon. We will definitely hope to return.

We had a lovely holiday at the Mill. Having an enclosed garden was perfect for the dogs and children. The house is a good size well appointed and equipped not pristine but clean and comfortable ideal for families with children and dogs. Great to have walks from the house. A beautiful area to explore.
