Had everything we needed, but furniture was pretty uncomfortable.

We loved the walking area, hot tub/pool and having everything we needed right in the home! Just as a heads up for summer vacationers though the upstairs loft gets very hot at night with no a/c.

This place is in a great location off the busy thoroughfare. The kitchen was well stocked. The extra towels really helped. We were out most of the day and this was a nice place to come back to and get a good night's sleep for the next day's activities. Loved having the board games and the television for some evening downtime. The bathroom is a tight fit. The shower will be very difficult for very large people.

Amazing location! Restaurant was very good! Bike and walking path were right out of the door and lovely to walk in the quiet mornings.
Golf course was super fun to play, pool is a walk across the street. Love love love the area and would like to come back next year!

Great condo. It’s small, but perfect and had everything we needed. No AC but we were there at the hottest time and they do have fans. Open up the screen door at night and it cools off. Wonderful location. We would come back.

We arrived to find the condo extremely cold inside and immediately turned on the baseboard heat and tried to light a fire. We went to dinner hoping to come back to a cozy warm condo but found that it was as cold as we left it. The baseboard heat did not work, the single heater mounted in the wall was on and producing heat, but not enough to heat the whole unit. We noticed a small portable heater by the bathroom and now know why its there. We turned that on, turned up the single wall unit and went to take a shower. That didnt work out well either. The shower head was leaking so badly around the head itself, not the connection that there was almost no water pressure. We showered and decided to use the oven (electric) to get some heat into the unit and tried again to light a fire. There was no gas to the fireplace and maintenance came and verified that. the next day I purchased a new shower head and installed it so we could at least shower. We made several calls to Vacasa and they were of no help. We finally after 3 days of trying to get them to communicate with us and get some heat working, had to move out. Trying to find a room during the Holidays was difficult and ended up spending big $ per night at Sun Valley Lodge for the remainder of our trip. I did finally speak with Vacasa and they offered us almost nothing for our troubles. The condo was a 6 night rental that was expensive for the stay. I will not use Vacasa again for their lack of customer service.

Cons: low shower water pressure, lighter for gas fireplace didn’t work (luckily we had our own lighter), key for ski locker missing

Pros: Underground parking, 5 min drive to Sun Valley, elevator (worked fine for me). lots of board games, etc. (not used), hot tub (also not used), gas fireplace. Cons: poor heating/lighting (condo was chilly for days and dark in LR), no temp gauge on oven, poorly installed laminate flooring

I’ve stayed in many rentals and this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had.
*It was difficult getting amenity pass. I had to contact them 3 different times.
* Parking was confusing. I still don’t even know if we were parked in the correct spot for our stay.
* The door was unlocked when we arrived. I felt this was very unsafe.
* The directions they sent on how to lock the door were not the correct directions for the keypad on our door.
* We were given 2 towels for our 6 night stay and laundry facility only accepted quarters. We needed $5 in quarters for each load. It was very difficult to find stores to give us that many quarters. Then after spending $15 in quarters to do laundry we didn’t even have dry clothes because the dryer didn’t fully dry our clothes.
* We wasted so much time with check in. (parking and figuring out key lock)
* We called vacasa 4 times and all they did was read me the same directions I had in the email. They were not helpful at all with parking and figuring out keypad.
This was not an enjoyable stay at all. I will never book a vacasa property again.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Elkhorn Escape. The property was very clean and comfortable as well as a great value! Our only regret was that we did not stay longer! There was a little glitch at check in, just a mix up in the type of lock on the door--Vacasa was great in assisting us and had the on site manager text me with the correct code. The bed was SUPER comfortable! Thank you again for a great weekend--we will be booking this property again in the future!

The unit had what we needed. No frills but convenient location.

The lock code didn't work, so maintenance had to be called (1.5 hours), the unit was less than 20 degrees interior and took 6 hours to get to 70 degrees, with the oven door open and on to help out. And finally, the shower wouldn't drain (plumber couldn't respond for 24 hours). That's the down side. The UP side, was that the off-site property management was helpful and tried really hard to take care of us. They finally placed us in another unit altogether. So while it turned out fine, it was not a great unit for starters and it's fortunate the waits weren't critical, only uncomfortable).

This cute apartment has room for 6 if you really want that many. The swim pool and hot tub makes this a must do! The tv wasn’t smart but we really didn’t need a tv as we hiked and swam the whole time.

I did not like parking access or finding the condo. Bldg 2 sign is not visible from any outside parking area. parking garage was closed and I wasn't told it would open on demand. Parking garage had 2 exits--1 of the exits leads to a courtyard surrounded by buildings, none of which have numbers on them and finding Bldg 2 was difficult. Inside condo the walls are thin and you can hear conversations and TV from other condos. No hair dryer. kitchen is fine. atmosphere in condo is dark due to tall trees outside blocking light. only bathroom is downstairs from master bedroom, which isn't convenient at night. Plenty of towels. throw pillows are not clean looking. Wifi needed no password, but nothing was stated about that in instructions for condo or inside condo. Communication with local manager was quick and good, but I had to resolve issues on finding condo on my own by asking bystanders.

This was a cute property that was impeccably clean. I loved the secluded loft upstairs. We had everything we needed in terms of pillows, towels, etc. Beds were very comfortable!

Nice unit in a convenient location for the right price.
The overall condition of the unit and building are acceptable for the price paid. The unit was clean and everything I needed worked as expected (I did not cook). The unit is comfortable but it is small and the shower height is very low. The bed was average and the unit was very quiet in the evening and morning. The drive to the mountain and town is about 10 minutes. I would recommend this rental if the price is right and you are looking for a regular place to stay.

Lovely little place
Just my wife and I skiing at Sun Valley. No kids. Plenty of space in this little loft. Amenities all worked well. Plenty of storage for our gear. Very easy to get in and out of. Vacasa staff is very prompt as I thought there was a water leak near the shower(they had a repair service out quickly). Had a nice fireplace, and working televisions. Plenty of games. You can tell the owner(s) put forth effort into making this a comfortable place to stay. I'm 6'5, and my wife if 5'2. The queen bed fit me. Not the most comfortable bed, but sufficient. Really really liked this place, and would definitely stay again. Please note, even though the number says 2044, it's on the 3rd floor. Also, the lift that's 'within walking distance' is for Dollar Mtn., and NOT Sun Valley. However, it's only a 10 minute drive to the mtn and town. Super easy.

Perfect place for two that want to be in close proximity to everything, especially the Sun Valley Lodge. Parking was easy and getting in and out of the home was a snap. We enjoyed our time, thank you.

Pleasant stay overall
When I booked I didn’t realize (as I should have) that the bedroom was in an upstairs loft. I made a somewhat uncomfortable bed on the couch so I didn’t have to use the stairs in the night to use the bathroom. I recommend other people familiarize themselves with how the lockbox works so you don’t get frustrated like I did. I couldn’t make the TV work or that fireplace turn on but dealt with it rather than haveing to get the site managers on it.

Great place, but needs to update directions
The condo was adorable. Beds were comfy. The place was cozy with the fireplace. We were surprised by the cute Christmas that greeted us when we walked in....especially after our journey finding the place.
We came into town in the dark in a snow blizzard. Directions said to take a left before going under the walk bridge that connects 2 buildings. In actuality you take a right after the walk bridge that connects 2 buildings to drive into the parking garage. The directions also said to take the elevator to the 2nd floor. We had to make several trips up and down stairs that consume the 2nd floor after getting off the elevator. This isn't easy with a bad back. As we were checking out today we realized the elevator for the 3rd floor was literally right around the corner from the condo. So get off on the 3rd floor and save yourself the trouble.

Great little place
Had a bunch of great games for us to play with our kids which I did not notice in the photos. Good view out the patio door and private. Parking was easy to find. Beds were comfortable. The couch did smell funny, like someone had been sitting on it sweaty which is unfortunate as I’m sure it was from someone coming through and staying. Kept blaming my husband but realized it was the couch :(. Also felt like there should have been a way to secure the door while we were inside the condo. Door did not have a deadbolt and seemed a bit flimsy.
