Purling Brook Falls: Purling Brook Falls are a set of magnificent waterfalls in a rainforest setting, located off of Springbrook Road. The trail leading in is easy enough for kids, leading to the top of the falls and then down to the bottom. Facilities nearby include public toilets, picnic tables, and a cafe at the entrance. Twin Falls at the most southern end of Springbrook Road is another excellent find with a reasonable walking trail.
Best of All Lookout: Just barely across the border into NSW, the scenic viewpoint known as Best of All Lookout creates panoramic views across the rainforest and hinterland, expanding out to the coast. At the end of Repeater Station Road, the parking lot is a comfortable distance to the viewpoint.
Natural Bridge: A naturally formed stone arch spanning a watery cave, Natural Bridge is known for its glow worm colony. This site is along Nerang Murwillumbah Road in the western section of the national park. The walk is short, but brace yourself for a climb up several stairs.

What is Springbrook known for?

The area of Springbrook is best known for its eponymous national park, filled with waterfalls and hiking trails to lookouts in a lush rainforest. Proximity to Gold Coast make it an easy day trip, while modest accommodations in and around the village make for a comfortable overnight stay. The larger Lamington National Park is just a couple valleys to the west and offers even more untouched scenery.

Where is Springbrook?

Roughly an hour southwest from Gold Coast, Springbrook is a rainforest mountain community on the Queensland-New South Wales border. Gold Coast Airport is an hour east near Coolangatta. Due to the remote location, it is best to rent a car to get around.
