Le Tillau is a hidden gem with a fabulous restaurant. The staff is wonderful, the rooms are very clean and stylish, and the location is peaceful. We will stay again to visit some of the attractions in the area.

Excellent hotel, friendly and attentive staff, fantastic and quiet rooms, ‚digital‘ bathroom which is quite interesting but works flawlessly, cosy outdoor seating to have a drink or two, good breakfast.

Nothing to complain about

Staff were exceptional - unfailingly friendly, helpful and polite. The location - isolated and quiet -was just what we wanted. The whole hotel was extremely clean and the decor pleasant and rustic.

The hotel has, at considerable expense, installed electronic controls for the water and lighting. These are fiddly to operate, not terribly flexible, and in no way improve on light switches and water faucets. Breakfast was meagre and disappointing. Dinner, while well cooked and presented, was not matched by the wine list which showed numerous out-of-stock items. The room was not comfortable being furnished with a tiny wardrobe for two people, and one hard-backed wooden chair at a desk-cum-table. The bed, however, was very comfortable. The water controls in the bathroom and shower were not terribly functional, the basin was tiny, and the stand on which the basin sat had almost no room for a guest's own toiletries.

The rooms were very confortable and charming. Staff extremely helpful and kind. The breakfast was delicious, exceptional I would say, with many choices, recently done pastry. Dinner was excellent, with original and very tasteful dishes, this is a must if spending the night here. The location was perfect for nice hikes and for enjoying le Doubs.

The hearing of a plague from the wood at night. Very subtle, I am a not good sleeper. I guess the wood should be treated for this problem at some point.

This was our second stay at Le Tillau and not our last. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, the service is exceptional. The hotel is lovely and cozy and in a relaxing peaceful setting. Every effort is made to ensure guests comfort and enjoyment. The restaurant serves delicious food from local produce and we enjoyed sampling some local wines. We look forward to visiting again.
