Overall very good. Could use more hand rails on the stairs. Alot of stairs. jacuzzi tub button sticks in the ON position, could not shut it off. Very close to shops and a quiet neighborhood.

This was our first visit to Galena and the Coach House made it so memorable. The house has every amenity you could ask for and Linda, the Host, is excellent with communication. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. The house is well appointed. There are 3 levels so if stairs are an issue, I wouldn't recommend. But we loved the different levels as it gave us our own personal space. We highly recommend this property!

My husband and I really enjoyed the Galena Coach House. The location is suburb and the property's amenities fit our needs perfectly. We would return and rent this lovely property again and we highly recommend it!

Great walkable location. Easy parking, comfortable beds. Our group of 4 had plenty of room. Only negative was some slight issues with cleanliness (moldy shower curtain, hair in bathroom) and ants in the kitchen.

Upon first look at The Coach House, i thought it appeared super small. Once we walked in, we saw a lovely and cozy main level. The kitchen was so quaint and the seating was very comfortable. The 2nd level was very comfortable. We did not utilize the top level except for showering. The only downside is if you have bad knees, the stairs could be an issue.
The main level patio was sweet and rustic for sure so be careful where you step. The house was very convenient to downtown and we enjoyed that convenience! We enjoyed our stay.

The interior of the unit was very clean and nicely decorated. I would rate that very high. The issues we experienced were; the third level bed room was VERY hot, it needs it own AC for the room. There should be a handrail on the stairway from first to second level. Finally the worst was the patio and deck. They both were filthy, weed growing on the deck, mold on the railing, the furniture was not clean, finally the stone surface of the patio is very uneven and cracked, almost unsafe to walk on.

Peaceful and quiet, the Coach House has all the amenities, clean and comfortable. Lots of stairs for those who have arthritis. A mini-fridge would be a nice addition to the living room area or in the laundry room. 10 minute walk to Main Street.

First impression was cute but musty smelling at least the 1st floor which contained the kitchen and small sitting area. Go up the stairs to the next floor which has a bedroom with bath(tub only), laundry room with a nice sitting area. There is another set of stairs to the 2nd bedroom with bath. This room was rather warm- I'm hoping they put an ac unit in one of the windows because it would be hot up there in the summer time. Overall very nice place,spacious bedrooms and nice size bathrooms.

This a charming renovated coach house. Small kitchen but very cute. Very clean property. 4 counter seats and 2 chairs in front of a tv and warm electric fireplace. Second level has another bedroom/bath with a whirlpool tub, washer/dryer, leather couch and chair in front of a tv. Third level has a king bed and small bath with a shower. We had 2 couples there comfortably. You could put a 5th person on the couch. 6 block walk to downtown galena. I highly recommend Gobbies for Chicago style pizza at very reasonable prices. Free salads and bread bites too!! Timmermans supper club was a fun night too. 15 mile drive to that. Overall, a wonderful place to stay.

We've been coming to Galena for the last 13 years. Almost always in the winter to ski and enjoy Whiskey Weekend. In years past we have had larger groups, but these days it's just us. We have stayed in the Coach House before and it is such a unique and cozy experience. We absolutely love this house! It's perfect for our weekend trips from down state. Check-In is always a breeze. The place is always clean and welcoming. Plus, you're a short walk to Main St, but still far enough away to have a quiet evening in. Cannot recommend this property or Vacation Homes of Galena enough! They are always wonderful to work with. We will never go through anyone else!

We had two couples and stayed at the coach house for two nights. It was very cute and clean. Old feel but renovated. Short walk to downtown Galena with places to park on site. Beds were comfy. Would have loved to use the outside patio but it was Feb. Seating areas were a little small but fine for the 4 of us.

The Coachouse didn't disappoint! The space was immaculately clean and very nicely appointed. You can tell the property owners care about the quality of your stay! Comfy beds, plenty of towels, and linens. The second-floor family room is cozy. We have already recommended the property to friends looking to visit Galena. It's absolutely within walking distance of the Main Street shopping & restaurant district.

60th B day party for my Mom in Galena. This house is in a very convenient location close to historic downtown Galena. Due to extreme heat we did end up driving down to shop but if it was cooler we could have easily walked. The house was clean, cute, and well stocked with anything we needed. Beds were comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was great! Nice quiet neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again.

My sister and I stayed in this beautiful coach house for 2 nights in July 2023. The location is great for walking to town. The house was very clean and had all the essentials you need. There is a bed and bath on the second floor, and another on the third- both beds were very comfortable.
