Das Teehaus Ferienhaus liegt auf einem Landgut, das die Heimat des Woodstock-Künstler Judson Smith, die es für einen seiner Studios in den 1940er und 1950er Jahren verwendet wurde. Später überführt seine Töchter es zu einem Gästehaus. The Murphy bed in the living area was (good or bad) primitive in its design. The front steps were spongy; and should probably be replaced. Last, but not least, a driveway to the front door is needed.

Really can't beat this location with access to a lovely stream in the backyard. Nice distance from town but still feels tucked away in the woods. the cottage itself has SO much potential, and just a few small adjustments would make it shine. the backyard was pretty run down - dirty/old/broken tables and chairs. Not enticing which is unfortunate given how great the stream isn Inside, with no screens, there was no way to get fresh air in the cottage without letting bugs in, so we'd highly suggest a screen door on the back (especially so you can enjoy the sounds of the water!) It quite dirty... dog hair on chair, couch smelled strongly of pee in one spot, cobwebs, etc. Also no sheets available for downstairs Murphy bed. With some sprucing up we'd definitely return!

Beautiful nature at the foot of a quiet retreat cottage, a mile away from the Woodstock strip and Comeau park and 4 miles from the Ashoka rail trail was an ideal access to peace and fun. I would definitely return and I appreciated the owners flexibility, great communication, and allowance for pets.

What a charming cottage in Woodstock along a stream. The view and the outdoor fire pit were the best. The cottage was also charming, but if you are not comfortable sleeping on a Murphy bed or going up a ladder to a loft to sleep, this might not be the place for you. We loved it. Tiny but so charming and rustic. Give it a try! You will love it too.

What a charming cottage in Woodstock along a stream. The view and the outdoor fire pit were the best. The cottage was also charming, but if you are not comfortable sleeping on a Murphy bed or going up a ladder to a loft to sleep, this might not be the place for you. We loved it. A hiking trail is right across the creek, but first you have to find a place to cross! The peacefulness was what I have needed for many many years. Cabin was nicely appointed. Because of medical conditions I couldn’t use the loft bed but the Murphy bed worked out just fine. Slept all night without waking up. I followed all the tips in the reviews like bringing rolling luggage and they were all right. Sulfur smell in water was only issue so remember to bring lots of bottled water!! We came at peak fall season in the Catskills and it was incredible!!! Bring warm clothes for sitting around the campfire and a flashlight. Other than that. Get your fire started and listen to the sound of the creek and acorns falling! Enjoyable !

My husband and I stayed over for the Fourth of July and we loved every minute of our stay. The cottage is cozy and lovely. We grilled food and enjoyed the creek as much as we could.
The cottage is located walking distance from the town. The loft bed was fun! We would love to return once again!

I have stayed before so I knew what to expect. The stream was the highlight of the property for me. Other guests were nearby but didn't bother us. The ladder to the loft was interesting in the middle of the night but part of it's charm. I would stay there again. The property owners were great and communication was easy.

Charming, cozy . Great water feature in the back!!
The cottage is indeed charming . Very homey and cozy. It just had enough city conveniences but not too much to forget that youre supposed to be roughing it a little bit. The pullout bed was comfortable. We did not use the loft since we brought our 8 month old baby and a dog . Older kids would enjoy sleeping up there, might not be too safe for young ones.
Zoe our dog enjoyed playing in the creek/ river in the back of the property .

Perfect getaway!
Though the weather was not as nice as we would have hoped this cottage had everything my Wife and I needed to unwind for a couple of days. Depending on the weather you may have to bring your luggage from your car to the cottage (about 75 yards). This was no big deal, but something you may want to be prepared for. We hope to come back when we can do some exploring of the surrounding nature. Thank you!

Great little cottage in an amazing setting
My sisters and I had such a lovely weekend in Woodstock NY. The cottage in very close to downtown where there are plenty of things to do. Since the weekend was one of the hottest all summer, we spent several hours in the most beautiful creek just behind the cottage.

Cozy house
The house was very well put together and well stocked. We enjoyed the proximity to town and also the nice space out by the water. I strongly suggest this property for a group of two to four and feel it was a nice value. We had a couple questions and Andrew was very responsive and helpful.

Relaxing and Lovely
This is such a wonderful well equipped cabin. Everything we needed was provided from pans to shampoos. The stream and small waterfall in the property were so relaxing. It's also near two swimming holes. Great to get away from the city and enjoy nature at it's best. My parents, sister, small dog, and I loved it. Will definitely book again.

Beautiful property and responsive host
The property and cottage were lovely. The bed in the loft area is cozy and everything was clean and ready upon our arrival. The one issue I had was that the grill outside was not working as the propane tank valve was broken. I emailed the owner and he came out and replaced the tank. When I had difficulty lighting it (it was EXTREMELY WINDY that day), he came over and helped light it, which was not an easy task. He was very nice and available to help. Everything was great, and I would definitely come back here to stay again.

great and very relax at cottage and brook-stream
a wonderful small cottage, has a great brook, stream and enjoyed so much. also bon fire at outdoor,, a nice ,walk distance to the town of Woodstock. the water was smell sulfur so brought and used a lot of bottle water. but we, Japanese, enjoyed taking shower with such sulfur hot water (hot spring effect) and gave us very smooth skin when washing with.

Relaxing Weekend
Had a really nice long weekend staying at the Teahouse Cottage in Woodstock. The stream outback is beautiful. The cottage is cozy and well-equipped.
It's a short drive or pleasant walk into "downtown" Woodstock, where you'll find plenty of good restaurants (Oriole 9, Bread Alone, and Catskills Pizza were favorites), art galleries, and fun gift/head shops.
It's also a short drive from some really scenic mountain hiking trails.
Would recommend to friends looking to get away from the city for a spell.

Loved it!
A great location, walkable to town in under 15 minutes. Stream with swimming hole just outside if you can brave the cold! The cottage itself is lovely.
We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back.
