We have been coming to this amazing condo for 7 years now and already booked for 2025. It's perfect in every way. From accommodations, to location to the hospitality - nothing compares. I cannot recommend this property enough.

For several years now, my wife and I have been fortunate enough to stay at The Nest. The property is extraordinary and the best location in Highlands period.
The focus on details by the host is amazing.

Well appointed and maintained residence. Hospitality and communication was outstanding. We prefer to stay in town when escaping the August heat of Florida and love being near Highlands shops, restaurants, bars.

My husband and I stayed in The Nest for a week and had a fine time. Don't be deterred by the entrance, which is on an alley through a brown door smack dab next to the door to the kitchen in the tavern under the unit. Once you are in, you will be pleased. It seems spacious, is surprisingly quiet, is clean, and well lit, including with good size windows in every room. The kitchen and bathrooms seem new. David King, the property manager, is incredibly helpful and responsive. The "welcoming" treats were amazing - wine, cheese, crackers, cookies and more. All in all a good stay in a lovely little town.

You can't ask for better access to Main Street and all its amenities. And you can't ask for a more responsive host. We really enjoyed our stay. And we were greeted with a very nice bunch of welcome goodies!!

The property’s location cannot be beat. Walking distance to everywhere you would like to go in Highlands. The host went above and beyond stocking the property with snacks and drinks, which we greatly appreciated after a long drive to get there. I can’t say enough great things about the property. We come to Highlands on a very frequent basis, but this time we wanted to be in downtown in the middle of everything. The NEST was perfect in every detail. Every aspect was covered in this unit from welcome snacks and beverages to soft music playing on the Bose speakers. It was perfect and better than anticipated. Even the Highland's Tavern folks downstairs went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Once we parked our cars we were able to walk to every restaurant and shop we wanted to visit during our stay.
The Nest will definitely be on our list for future visits to Highlands!

We thoroughly enjoyed The Nest! A very cool place in a perfect location, easy walk to everything in downtown Highlands including some hiking trails. The host was very responsive and included some nice touches with extra amenities waiting for us upon our arrival. We absolutely recommended The Nest!

The Nest is a beautiful luxurious home in the heart of Highlands NC. It was our 1st trip to this charming mountain town to attend a family wedding. Mr. David sure knows how to to make you feel special. We were greeted with fresh flowers wine, and cheese, fresh fruit, coffee just to name a few items. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you may need including a coffee maker. The livingroom overlooks 4th Strret and Church with a view from the french doors and juilette balcony of the Old Edwards Inn. We had plenty of space in this 2 bedroom, 2 bath home. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds comfy and each has their own bathroom. The Nest is over a tavern that has music but it was not loud and it not bother us at all. This is a great home in a great location. You are within walking distance of many of the shops and restaurants. I would highly recommend "The Nest" if you are vising the area. Mr. David is a great host.

My husband and I met friends who were staying at Old Edward’s. We could not have picked a better place. We got to bring our 12 year old dog which was so sweet. We walked in to a stocked frig, we loved having breakfast there and meeting up with our friends for lunch and dinner. We could literally see our friends walk by from our balcony. The only negative was having to leave. We will most definitely be back! Thanks for being a great host David!

Park the car & walk -shop, mountain theater, restaurants . Directly across street from ‘Old Edward’s ‘Madison restaurant’.
- there is a pub/restaurant, on the bottom, but we found it very quiet and not noticeable.
At the back entrance some wonderful aromas from the kitchen! Comfortable bed, which is very important. No hang up space in the Master bedroom, shelves only.
I would definitely recommend and will return on our next visit to the Highlands if available🤓

We were delighted with our 3 night stay at The Nest. Everything was perfect! The only downside of The Nest is it has created a standard of excellence that we will now always compare other short term rentals to. I can’t imagine that any other property will match the hospitality and care that David provides his guests.

The girls and I had a fabulous stay at the nest! We felt like we entered a Hallmark movie. The flat was absolutely adorable and decorated to a T. It’s an excellent location in the Highlands. You can easily walk to shops and restaurants. We loved the balcony and having the doors open and seeing the town. David makes it special by having treats and drinks for us as we arrive. Would definitely stay again!

We loved it here. Perfect location for exploring the downtown area. The balcony was so fun to keep open in the afternoons. David had the place stocked with amazing snacks and wines. We will be back!

Excellent downtown location across from Old Edwards and convenient to Main Street. Can easily walk home from a nice evening instead of driving. Balcony windows overlook Old Edwards, nice neighborhood.
2 bedrooms and 2 baths were well appointed and comfortable. Modern kitchen was also well stocked, he sets a new standard for welcoming guests! Wine, beer, cereal, coffee, milk, OJ, half and half, snacks...whatever you need is there waiting for you. He truly has put a lot of thought into what guests need and provided it for us. He sets a new standard in management that is much appreciated.
HIGHLY recommend this townhome!!

Can't beat the location and all the snacks and drinks were a wonderful surprise! It's great to have a parking spot to count on, too. We barely noticed music from what is currently Highlands Tavern below, and their staff were delightful neighbors where we enter The Nest. We will check availability here first every trip back to Highlands!

This was our second Labor Day trip to The Highlands to stay at The Nest! It is one of our absolute favorite VRBOs that we have ever rented and we hope to return for years to come! The house is clean, well appointed, and so convenient to everything in the downtown area. We appreciate the great communication from the host and the well stocked fridge and pantry are always a plus. Thanks again for another wonderful stay!

For the 2nd year in a row we spent 2 1/2 weeks at the Nest in Highlands. The place is fantastic and has everything you could need to have a very enjoyable stay. David, the owner, has the place stocked and set up fabulously. Best location in Highlands by far. Easy walk to all great restaurants, grocery store , wine shop etc.

Perfect location! So easy to walk to shops, restaurants, hiking trails, everything. The host has wine, cheese, snacks, cold drinks, and more! We felt spoiled and enjoyed our long weekend. The restaurant below is also delicious!

This condo is in a perfect location in downtown Highlands. While the entrance isn’t welcoming the apartment is warm, well appointed with a nice selection of wine, beer, chocolates, fruit, and other amenities

There isn’t a more convenient place in highlands. You can walk to all the shops and restaurants. David has it stocked very well and the arrival items are great. Parking is very tight and the entrance is down an alley but we would definitely stay again.
