The view and location as it is half way between city Como and Bellagio. Do not go there without a car

To start off, we were asked to arrive at least one hour after the agreed check in time so that the host would have more time to prepare, which resulted in us having to adjust our travel plans. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the host who does not speak any languages apart from Italian, even though it is clearly stated that besides Italian we can expect English and German. Luckily, we were accompanied by a friend who does speak Italian, otherwise there would be no way to have any sort of communication. Problems started on the first day, as the cleanliness in the apartment was extremely low. Bed linen was full of hair, followed by a terrible smell. We assume it is dog’s hair, as we also found it all over table clothes and inside wardrobes. Dishes were full of dust and bug feces, a completely disguised sight. Bathroom hasn’t been cleaned in a very long time and we were not provided even the cleaning supplies. Bath tub, again full of hair and dirt. After we invited the host to ask for assistance with the above, the only response we received was that she will advise her cleaner moving forward to pay more attention, and did not accept the reality and severity of the situation. We were given one set of clean sheets, but the smell was unpleasant again, as it smells damp, making it difficult to sleep and have a good nights rest. Since we did not have other option, we were forced to spend the first day cleaning, which is not how we imagined our vacation at all. To top it all off, the place is crawling with bugs, we even found couple of cocoons around the apartment while cleaning. As previously explained, we had to purchase cleaning supplies ourselves, including dish soap, sponges, trash bags, toilet paper etc. Another thing worth mentioning is that there is no wifi as advertised. We were advised to use a free wifi shared from the bar below the apartment, and were told off when we asked for a password for a stabile network.

The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. There is also parking area. The kitchen is fully equipped and you may find everything you need, even a coffee machine :). They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this apartment for anyone visiting Como, Bellagio and other towns at the lake. I have seen one negative review about hearing sometimes a noise from coffee machine in the bar below, well he forgot to mention the great bakery smell early morning :)
