Sheryl was very accomodating, helpful, and knowledgeable of the area! All 7 of us, plus our 2 fur babies, have NO COMPLAINTS, NO REGRETS AT ALL ABOUT SEA GEM!!! We will be back next year for sure!!

This home is gorgeous and so comfortable. Sheryl is a wonderful host always checking on you to make sure you have everything you need and has lots of info about the island. The home is a very short walk to the beach and she even provides beach chairs. The home was just perfect for the 8 of us!

We have been coming to SGI for 20 years and always stay on the Plantation (now with two kids, ages 10 and 13!. After a series of beachfront rentals, we opted for Sea Gem this time, which is Tier 1. The house was very clean, kitchen well-stocked with a variety of pots/pans, dishes, and even spices! The property is well-laid out with nice bedrooms and only a couple of steps from the beach walk. While we didn’t use the pool at all, it was clean and inviting. Sheryl was wonderful and very responsive throughout our stay. Highly recommend this property!

Home and location are great. Only problem with the home is the banister on the second floor. The width between the spindles are very far apart. My 2 year old son actually fell between them and landed on the hard wood floors(from the second story). After $6,000 in medical bills, I would never rent this home with small children unless that has been taken care of. Otherwise the home was great.

My family has been vacationing on St. George Island for the better part of 20 years, with all but a couple visits not on The Plantation. We can't say enough about how much we've loved our time on the island over the years including fishing, kayaking, biking, running, swimming, and just general hanging on the beach. This is our definition of a beach paradise that allows us to bring our pups on the beach with responsible pet parents to boot, i.e., no compromising beach cleanliness, beauty, or general love of fur kids on the beach. Now, regarding the house: Sheryl has truly made a little beach paradise oasis all but a hop, skip, and jump from the beach. All the amenities you could ask for on the beach including kayaks, bikes, pool, and general beautiful setting and home. Location and property was not only as advertised but even better than expected. Highly recommended and two paws up from Pants, our 12 y/o Yellow Lab!

We had a great stay with three generations, including a 3 month old. We brought our own pack and play, but also used the one provided at the house. Everything was great and the location to the beach was very easy for quick visits.

The property was so cozy and comfortable!! Everything worked perfectly, and was just as pictured. Sheryl was great!! We had the best time in St. George! Our first time to visit and it was relaxing and perfect!

Sea Gem worked out perfectly for our family. The location was perfect. Everyone was very comfortable, we had plenty of room. The pool was extremely private and couldn’t have been better for relaxing and swimming and the kids loved the less sandy option for the toddler. The street was private and quiet, yet right across the way was a boardwalk path to the beach, a very short walk. Sheryl was quick to answer any questions. Our evenings ended with rocking in the chairs on the porch and planning our next visit. Sea Gem helped make this trip full of great memories which was exactly what I was hoping for!

Our 3-generation family of 5 adults and two young children had an amazing week on St. George Island. "Sea Gem" was indeed a "gem." The house was beautifully decorated, clean, and comfortable. We all enjoyed the heated pool daily and enjoyed only being a short step away from what felt like our private beach. Located within the gated Plantation community, we enjoyed the landscaped grounds, access to bicycle paths, and other community amenities. Though we ventured out to other parts of the island and nearby mainland communities, we were on the island for quality family time in a peaceful setting. Sea Gem checked all the boxes. Also, Sheryl (the homeowner) is also a "gem"--she responded quickly to any questions we had and was genuinely interested in making sure our visit to her property and the island went smoothly. Overall, this was a 5+ vacation home.

Property is in a wonderful, quiet and beautifully landscaped neighborhood with beach access just a short walk up and across the street. Bikes furnished to explore the neighborhood and island and beach chairs and pool toys provided. The home had puzzles, movies, games and books and the kitchen was well stocked. We would love to return soon!

We had a lovely week at SGI in the Sea Gem! House was clean and beds were comfy. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you might need for cooking and eating in. We loved having the beach access right across the street for our daily walks on the beach and shell collecting. Thanks for a relaxing week!

The house and pool were excellent. The property had a very tropical private feel with nice views of the gulf and close beach access. Our first time to St George Island and it was great. Hope to return in the future and will definitely consider Sea Gem for our stay. Cheryl is a great host, very responsive and helpful.

We had a wonderful time at Sea Gem, and Sheryl was so welcoming! She really worked with us to make sure our stay was the best it could be! It was lovely to be able to walk right to the beach, and the house was comfortable and a great place to relax! We definitely plan to make a return trip!

The layout was so perfect. We took the separate upstairs bed and bath. Our kids and the 3 yrs old took the downstairs. Furniture was comfortable and kitchen was well stocked. We'll seek this one out again.

Our family of 7 had a great July 4th week! From the really fun SGI waterwar parade to the fireworks! The house is very close to beach. Beach towels, chairs, toys, kayaks, bikes provided! We could see the dolphins playing in the gulf from the rocking chairs on the huge porch! This place feels like home, very clean, has everything needed for meals (we ate in mostly). Comfortable beds with lux bedding. Crazy large and lux showers with excellent water pressure! Easy booking and communication with owner who lives nearby and quick response by text/phone to questions we had. The beach itself was beautiful, clean and uncrowded! Also has a lovely pool. The only suggestions for improvement would be to update the dishwasher ( we had to Re wash a few dishes after a run), add a few more bath linens and silverware and nicer pool furniture. We would not hesitate to stay here again when in the area.

Another wonderful stay at Sea Gem! Our party of 7 (4 adults/3 children) were very comfortable throughout our stay. The kitchen is very well supplied with everything needed. Sheryl also has done some updates that add to the appeal, and she is very responsive to any questions. Our family can't wait for another trip!

Our stay at Sea Gem was amazing. Sheryl was very helpful and the house was lovely - even better than the pictures online appear. The location on St George Plantation cannot be beat! We enjoyed biking, tennis, and the beach which is truly steps away from the house. It was too cold to swim, but the pool looked great too. We will definitely be back.

This house is Amazing, the photos don’t do it justice at all. The location is absolutely perfect, the kitchen was 0 fully stocked with any tool or dish we needed, we like cooking. The property Manager was awesome. This is our favorite house so far, we stay on the Island every year.

Great place and helpful host!
We really enjoyed our time at Sea Gem! It’s even more beautiful in person and steps from the beach. The Plantation is quiet, clean, and lovely. Also loved that the house comes with 4 bikes. We had a lot of fun getting out after the kids went to bed and enjoyed the paths all over the Plantation.
Sheryl was an incredibly communicative and available host. She went above and beyond to help me when I had to order additional dog food during our trip. She drove and picked up my package at the post office in Eastpoint — truly a lifesaver and very kind!
11/10 — would definitely stay again next time we’re on SGI with our family of adults, kids, and dogs.

We had a few hiccups with TV and living room rug had pet hair but we managed to figure out TV after googling and switching a few cords that previous people had changed for gaming. The vacuum was clogged so we emptied it and worked great on rug after that. I would suggest a few new beach cars otherwise location and owner were great! Would stay again!

Family Getaway
Sheryl was amazing to rent from. She answered all my questions and even consulted with my daughter when she was having difficulty getting her tv to work in her bedroom. My family enjoyed the beautiful porch and its view of the ocean along with the pool for afternoon swims. The access to the beach is minutes away. We loved the peacefulness of The Plantation!

Beautiful spring vacation
We had a lovely week on SGI for our children’s spring break. Unfortunately the pool heat never worked so we were unable to use the pool much during our stay as it stayed below 80 degrees. The issue was not repaired during our stay but the owner was communicative and apologetic and refunded our pool heat fee. The views of the gulf from the top floor and master were gorgeous. The house was clean enough, and layout was nice for our group. The pool situation was very disappointing as I had messaged owner several days before we arrived asking that we be assured that pool would be heated upon arrival. Owner was uninformed of the pool heat issue even though previous guests had also been without it. Overall we still had a lovely vacation, and will definitely be back to the island again.

Nice house and short walk to the beach; great for the kids. Kayaks and bikes were a nice amenity to venture around the plantation. Our only issue was the heated pool never got warm. Overall, a great time and value for the location. We’ll be back to SGI!

The beach is very private as is house. Quiet at night. Great access to beach and bike trails. We will be back. The pool couldn’t heat but owner was on top of it.

Great stay at Sea Gem
Wonderful week at SGI. Home is located in a secure, gated, and master planned community called St. George Plantation. For us, this was the place to be on SGI—quite, residential, non-commercialized, and nice bike paths. Owner was friendly, responsive, and easy to work with. Loved the large front porch and easy access across the street to beach. We loved having 2 master suites with upgraded en suite baths. House was comfortable our family of 5 adults. St. George State Park on opposite side of island is a must see. We would not hesitate returning to Sea Gem.

Great location, Great Communication with Owner
We stayed in Sea Gem with our family for Fall Break and absolutely loved the location and amenities of the house. The kitchen is well-stocked, which you will appreciate if your family cooks in even some of the time while you're on vacation. The beach is a short walk across the street with access that is straight to the beach (no stairs!) The kids enjoyed the pool at the property every afternoon. Best of all, the owner is attentive to make sure that your stay is the best it can be. We hope to rent again for another vacation soon!

The house had everything we needed and was very comfortable for all of us. The kitchen was clean and well equipped. Beds were very comfortable. The pool was very clean and private. There was a nice view of the water. Communication with owner was easy and she checked in to make sure we were ok and had everything we needed. Great place to have as your home base for a great vacation on St George!!

Putting the "Gem" in Sea Gem
Fantastic experience overall. We had a great time and the owner was very nice and easy to reach out to for questions. I was surprised to be contacted by the owner right after we checked-in to make sure everything went well. The pool was very clean as well as the house. Sea Gem was much bigger in person than I thought from the pictures. My only suggestion is if you want to ride bikes during your stay to rent them.
