From the first minute we felt at home in the property. A superb sea view to enjoy the sunset every night. In addition the beach and boardwalk was only 2 minutes from the apartment through a private entrance. Roseanne & Doug provided a very comprehensive set of instructions both before arriving and in a guide at the property and were on hand if we needed anything. This was our 6th visit to Barbados and the 1st not in a hotel and this was by far the best. The property had all the facilities you'd expect if you wanted to cook for yourself with a small supermarket about 15mins away. If you wanted to eat out there were numerous places all within a 10 minute walk which was very convenient. If you wanted to stay at the property there was a lovely private area with sunbeds and a small swimming pool that was excellent. We also walked a long the boardwalk and enjoyed sunbeds at Rockley Beach at the end of the boardwalk. It was so enjoyable that we are already discussing returning next year. :) Jim & Jac

We had a wonderful 5 days at the condo! It is idyllic! Right on the ocean- the most beautiful view-we went to sleep & woke to the sound of the waves! Access to the private beach, right at the back of the building is wonderful and Rosanne & Doug have equipped the condo with everything you need! The boardwalk is perfect for a walk and provides access to a range of restaurants and local shopping. Everyone was friendly and Doug & Rosanne stopped by to meet us and made sure we had some must haves (coffee,milk, coconut bread) as we arrived late in the evening. The space was truly our home away from home while there. It is bright, welcoming and so peaceful. The building is secured and the unit is newly renovated. The pool area is also very nice if you want a break from the sand ☺️ We are looking forward to our next time!

South Ocean Villas was just what we needed on a winter sun break from the UK. The welcome from our hosts was lovely and very personable and the villa was home from home - so very comfortable. Location and amenities were fantastic - access to the boardwalk was just outside. Information pack outlining all local facilities and snippets of inside information for the local area was a great touch too. We would highly recommend South Ocean Villas for anyone contemplating a visit to the south coast. We will definitely be back!

The condo was as advertised. It’s located close to beach bars, restaurants and supermarket I loved that a boardwalk is next to the building, great for people watching and exercising. Lovely host, great spot.☺️

We had a great stay in this beautiful condo. Location was excellent, we did not need a car for our short 5-day stay. It was nice to be on the boardwalk for easy access to beaches and restaurants. The property was comfortable and quiet. The pool was never busy, and was a nice spot to cool off and relax. Rosanne was very welcoming, and communication was excellent despite our last-minute booking. We would gladly stay here again!

We had a 16 night holiday in Barbados, spending the first couple of nights in St Lawrence Gap, then a week in a hotel resort in St James on west coast, before our stay in South Ocean Villas in Hastings. This was a perfect way to spend our final week in Barbados. By this time we were missing the independence and flexibility of having our own catering - and laundry - facilities, which the apartment accommodated perfectly. It was spotless and spacious. The location was ideal - a few steps from the pool area directly onto the Richard Haynes Boardwalk, nearby beaches and beachside restaurants. The view from the apartment was exactly as per photos in the Vrbo pics - we enjoyed watching the sunset. The beds are quite firm and the room at the front by the main road is subject to road noise particularly from morning traffic but we were so relaxed that this was not a huge problem. It was a 2 min walk to the Dread or Dead surf school (recommended for beginners’ surf lessons) and we also had a super enjoyable catamaran day tour with captain Nick and crew on his Calypso catamaran. We walked everywhere and did not need a car. In the evenings we had movie night on the comfy sofa and huge smart TV. Rosanne and Doug were great hosts and communicated brilliantly. We were very grateful that they allowed us a late checkout before a late flight back to the UK. Thanks for a great stay!

We had a fantastic stay at the condo-it’s right on the boardwalk with a beautiful view of Accra beach. From the moment you walk in,it’s a comfortable place with a large living area,great kitchen,but the main attraction is the perfect sitting area looking out onto the ocean. Our hosts Doug & Rosanne were so friendly and gracious,you could not ask for better! It’s close to shopping,restaurants,bars and a car is really not needed unless you want to go exploring the island. A five star experience,we are returning next year!

Our family of three (2 adults + 1 child) had the pleasure of staying at Rosanne and Doug's condo. The location was perfect, we enjoyed the incredible views, beach, sounds of the ocean and sunsets. We were within walking distance to everything we needed and loved our walks on the boardwalk. The condo was stocked with everything we needed and was super clean. Communication with the host was excellent and check-in was a breeze, we truly can't wait to return. What a gem of a spot!

The location is perfect. The boardwalk in front is perfect for walks. The balcony is perfect for sunsets. A small beach next door is perfect for a refreshing dip in the Caribbean. The condo is well stocked with amenities. Great restaurants within walking distance. Roseanne and Doug are great hosts and available for questions.

An excellent apartment in a prime location. Very chilled vibe and the hosts could not have been more friendly and helpful. Also very child safe. Definitely recommended.

We loved this place from the moment we walked in and opened the patio doors to the gorgeous Caribbean Sea! How I loved sitting there, with my coffee or glass of wine, watching and listening to the waves. This is a beautifully decorated and exceedingly comfortable living space with all kinds of thoughtful extras to welcome you and make you feel at home. Situated on the Richard Haynes Boardwalk, extending from the Accra Beach to just past this site, the Villa was ideally located for my husband who jogs and for my mother who uses a walker/wheelchair for distances. The boardwalk allowed my mother to feel as if she was strolling on the beach! Restaurants and stores are all in walking distance and it is also easy to commute to other desirable locations by bus or taxi or by rented car (the suite includes a designated parking space). The elevator was very helpful for my mom allowing easy accessibility to the lovely terrace and wading pool below and just a few stairs down to the boardwalk. Best of all, each time we returned from one of our sightseeing excursions, I felt that we were indeed returning to one of the loveliest spots of all! The only other thing that could exceed the most gracious amenities was the warmth and helpfulness of our hosts!

Excellent property, beautiful views, and key location. We loved our time here and will definitely return! Very close to Brandon’s surf break, within walking distance, and bars. The hosts were a pleasure to work with and really thought of everything to make our stay easy and pleasurable!

We stayed a week in Roseanne and Doug’s condo in Hastings and loved it. It was clean, lovely decorations, location to die for. We could walk to restaurants and other beaches. Perfect because who wants to cook on holiday? We also got to meet the Nicholls who are great hosts and lovely people. Loved it!

Couldn’t be better! Lovely condo on the boardwalk next to that Caribbean Sea. Sadly our holiday was shortened due to the coronavirus but was kept up to date throughout by our lovely hosts, Rosanne & Doug. We have no hesitation to return to this excellent condo. Shirley, Andy & Sue

What an amazing vacation we had while the world imploded with Covid. I wish it could have lasted longer! Smack on the ocean front with the most stunning view of the ocean and the boardwalk below., not to mention the sound of the waves. If you opened the front door and the balcony doors the breeze thru the condo was heavenly. The location was great, right on the boardwalk, where we walked daily. Groceries were a bit of a problem until we found Massey's, where you could buy everything you would find in the USA. The beaches on either side of the building were clean and uncrowded. The building itself was well maintained daily as well. The pool deck looking out over the ocean was so comfortable altho most days we opted for the beaches instead. The ocean water was therapeutic. It was too tempting to stay with the airlines offering free changes on tickets, but in the end we had to come home. I wouldn't hesitate to rent from Rosanne and Doug again, they couldn't have been more gracious or helpful hosts!

Just got back from an INCREDIBLE week in Barbados with my friends and family. I cannot say enough about this condo and the owners, who were available for information and any little problem that came up. I was there with friends and all of us cannot stop gushing about how perfect this place is. For anyone using a wheelchair, message me and I can give you some info on accessibility in the area. It really is a magical place. I cannot wait to go back.

Our stay was beyond perfect. It was a two week visit to Barbados and we were trying to figure out a way to never leave. The first week we had our university aged daughter with us and the second was a week on our own. The condo and location were beyond perfect for both weeks. The three of us had plenty of room & privacy. The view was stunning and I miss it already. The warm Caribbean breeze and sound of the ocean waves revitalized our winter tired souls! The condo itself was sparkling clean, was well equipped with anything and everything! We totally overpacked as the convenience of having a washer and dryer cannot be underestimated. We were a group of three full grown adults and it was spacious and very comfortable. The beds were really comfy and super clean crisp white sheets and towels were provided. The pillows were great too! I have neck issues and there were a couple of choices on the pillow firmness and I woke up each day feeling great! The location was beyond perfect. The last condo on the boardwalk which made it great for walking to many local eateries and cute little beach bars. The food in the neighbourhood was amazing! We ate all along the boardwalk and took the local bus system regularly to the St Lawrence Gap to dine and drink as well as to the grocery store. We did an amazing island tour with Duane (Rosanne and Doug will hook you up with him and he’s and awesome tour guide and taxi driver). I would highly recommend his tour! We ate in a couple of nights and we had all of our breakfasts at our “home away from home”. We did a mix of lunches made at home and out. It was fun bringing down our own little picnic to the poolside. The common areas were kept tidy and clean and there was never an issue finding sun beds or chairs. The other guests in the condo building were lovely also and the pool was a great place to take a dip. The ocean front area directly by the condo was fantastic for swimming and snorkeling. The water was clear and there were plenty of beautiful fish to swim with. Rosanne and Doug! Wonderful humans who went above and beyond; we have made new friends. This was the best unexpected surprise of the trip. They are wonderful hosts and fabulous human beings. Kindness and care were evident from the moment we met. We were blessed to spend time with them and they truly cared about us. We miss them already too! We would recommend this property to anyone, and we cannot wait to return!

From the moment we checked in to the moment we left, we enjoyed this beautiful villa. The pictures convey exactly the lovely decor, the view of the beach, and the easy access to the boardwalk. We walked down the boardwalk to a different restaurant every night. Rosanne was a welcoming and gracious host. We highly recommend this place!

The heading says it all - highly recommended. Everything we needed was in the condo. Separated from the sea by the boardwalk, with several little beaches in either direction. Accra (Rockley) Beach is at the end of the boardwalk with loungers and umbrellas for a small price and cafes/bars right on the beach. For a day out, try The Boatyard on Carlisle Bay in Bridgetown. Entrance includes a free snorkeling trip to a ship wreck and swimming with turtles. Easy access to the condo on arrival and hosts came to welcome us to Barbados. It was raining, so Doug drove my daughter to the grocery store to get some initial supplies. Located within walking distance of small stores, cafes and restaurants. Highly recommend Champers for a special occasion, Tapas and Salt for excellent evening meals. Also, but not so "posh" try Mama Mia's for pizza. Close by is SplashArts for breakfast and lunch. A 10 to 15 minute walk takes you to Chilly Moos for an ice cream treat. Don't be fooled by the One Scoop, it's actually three scoops, but you can have a Mini Moo if it's too much for you. ZR buses (known as Reggae buses) pass by the door and can take you almost anywhere on the island. A single trip costs $US 1.75 and they stop anywhere, just hold your hand out when you see one coming. We really enjoyed our stay and will be returning.

We stayed over New Year’s 2020. One of the best decisions ever made vice a hotel; this villa is very comfortable, clean and newly renovated with exquisite beach front view of the ocean. It has easy access to a nice boardwalk next to the ocean and is well situated within walking distance of restaurants, shops, bars, bus/taxi service. Unit has 2 decks that overlook ocean front in a secure building with outside patio area only for residents with private pool, deck lounge chairs, and tables w/umbrellas (well maintained). Owners provided pre-notification instructions to access the unit, directions, and a taxi option upon arrival at the airport, as well as their phone number/email address in case of short notice help or questions. They pre-arranged to meet us at the unit about an hour after getting un-packed to welcome us to their condo, ensure we had a successful arrival, and answer questions as necessary. Upon arrival we noticed that they left a surprise in the fridge (pitcher of delicious home-made rum punch) and a hand-written welcome card with their punch recipe. All supplies in the unit were organized, resources were available to us, and maps and reading materials were available to help us make our way on the island easier and ensure that we had a great time. The owners totally paid attention to the finer details so that we would have a very memorable stay - and that we did. They truly went above and beyond leaving us with a feeling that we were part of their family.

Spotless, close to everything, and the owners made our trip especially memorable. Doug and Roseanne's condo was fully equipped with everything one could possibly need to make us feel at home. In addition to that, they accompanied us to some off-the-beaten-path gems on the island that we would have surely missed by ourselves. We will return to their unit on this beautiful island next year and beyond. We cannot give them a high enough rating for their hospitality.

We really enjoyed the location being on the boardwalk, right at the ocean, with the best beach for kids and ourselves a couple steps out the door. We wouldn’t hesitate to book this great unit again! The owners are so nice. The unit is spacious, clean, and in great condition. We felt very at home during our 12 days spent here. Lots to do in this area with Artsplash being around the corner for great brunches and a fantastic playground for the kids. I visit the island about once a year for business, so knowing this location well, it was really a great spot to bring the family while being able to zip around the island for various adventures and meetings.

We just completed a wonderful 4-week stay in unit 203. The view is spectacular only rivaled by the lovely, relaxing sounds of the ocean waves.This condo is spacious, immaculate, well-equipped and a very pleasant place to stay - started to feel like home in 4 weeks!. The beds are very comfortable and we really enjoyed eating in the open air dining area. This condo is just one level up from beach and pool so no need to use elevator. Location is perfect - by the beach and awesome boardwalk with restaurants/bars easily accessible as well as convenient local inexpensive transportation. And the best, most gracious welcoming landlords imaginable! Thank you Rosanne and Doug for sharing your lovely place with us. We will be back:)

This property was perfect for our three week stay in Barbados. The condo included everything we needed for cooking dinners, and we were within walking distance to many restaurants when we chose to dine out. There is also public transportation available. The condo is directly on the boardwalk. Views and sunsets were amazing. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone visiting the island.
