This home is in a nice protected cove, which has a bit less boat traffic. Making for a nice relaxing stay. A great level lot for easy lake access without the usual stair expedition of many Lake Martin homes. Lydia was very pleasant to deal with and always a quick response.

We were looking for the perfect spot to gather our entire family from multiple states and this place was absolutely amazing! Plenty of space and Lake Martin was such a relaxing place to just float around and catch up with your family. Lydia was great for allowing us to use her beautiful home to accomplish this!

Our 2nd time to rent with Lydia! She is great and house has everything you need ! Location is quiet with open water for tubing! Kitchen well stocked with movie room and games! We were ages 2-84

Multi-family lake vacation, as we do every summer. This was our second time on Lake Martin. Lake was perfect, as before. This house was AWESOME for a pretty big group. Host was very nice and on top of things.

The moment we saw the house, we were immediately impressed! The house was spacious and homey. You feel like you’ve all gathered at a family member’s house with how the rooms are set up and decorated.
The kids had PLENTY to keep them entertained and occupied in the evenings with the play area and games; even the adults had fun playing the games. The entertainment room was perfect for many of us to go in to watch a movie with a theater atmosphere. The kitchen has everything you could think of when fixing meals especially for large families/groups. The sunroom allowed some to be able to be outside and enjoy the amazing views and sounds without the direct sun.
The deck space and chairs allowed all of us to be able to spread out. The kids could have fun jumping off the dock and others didn’t have to worry about being splashed. We all enjoyed the ability to spread out so no one felt like they were on top of each other.
We also love its location. We weren’t far from a Dollar General, local restaurants, Smith Mountain Fire Tower, and the beach area at DARE Power Park.
If you want someplace where it feels like home, definitely stay here! This was the first house I saw when researching Lake Martin and I am so glad it was. The homeowner promptly answered any questions I had, made the entire experience very enjoyable/seamless, and was very friendly and hospitable. We highly recommend staying here and would gladly come back again!

The property was beautiful and spacious. There was more than enough space to accommodate our group and everyone had a great time. We will definitely consider renting this house again in the future.

We rented this home for a family gathering over Thanksgiving. It was the perfect home for our big family. It was so cozy and had everything we needed + more. The owner is super nice and accommodating. We will definitely rent this home again! Our stay was awesome!!

Everything was exceptional with the visit. The house was as good or better than advertised and the communication with the owner was top notch. It is a beautiful home and would recommend highly. Customers have already asked for the listing information for potential visits with their families.

This is one of the most unique places I've stayed over hundreds of rentals I've booked. The VIEW from the back of this house is amazing, as are the outside patio, grounds, fire pit & dock areas are wonderful and even better than the pictures IRL.
Owners are warm, friendly & very communicative. I never felt like I couldn't reach out or get connected w/ them quickly. The home was decorated incredibly for Halloween too, which was wild.
It's wonderful, and I only took it down a star (would be just a 1/2 star if possible) because it's not a 5 star rental property. While the Master suite is fantastic...the other bedrooms are pretty small (though all the adult sized beds appeared to be exceedingly comfortable), and the house probably needs another full bathroom upstairs.
If you pushed this house to the occupancy max (we were only 7), you'd be sad. Also, the ovens weren't fully working (one was completely out, the other may be soon too)...which made cooking somewhat challenging. Despite these issues, this home would be a solid 4.5 stars in most people's book. I'd go back again for sure.

The property is gorgeous and in a beautiful location. The home was spotless and plenty of rooms for our family reunion. Lots of space to be together or alone. I would definitely book again and the hostess was exceptional.

We had a great stay! Plenty of room for our full family. Our young kids especially loved the "hidden" bunk room. The property is beautiful and very well maintained. We have done a lake trip for several summers, but this house was by far our favorite. The grand kitchen was fantastic. So much room to room and find your own quiet space. Beautiful open water views with minimal boat traffic. The host was great and we will certainly book again in the future.

We had a wonderful stay. The house and property were beautiful and had everything we needed. The lake location was perfect in a more quiet area with great swimming off the dock. Highly recommend if looking for a relaxing week at the lake!

Wonderful property filled with a French farmhouse feel. Property owners were fabulous. Boat ramp right on property, great pier and floating dock. Beautiful location for swimming, boating, and serenity. House was well stocked and comfortable. Everything you need for a family to have a great time. Thank you so much Ms Lydia for letting us stay.

We had 14 family members stay here and it was absolutely delightful…includes many amenities and plenty of things for kids to enjoy. The house is very accommodating and beautiful. My only critique would be the kitchen; if you plan to do cooking I would suggest you bring an electric skillet or some non stick pots/pans, the pans they have stick. Also not enough forks thank goodness I had brought plastic. Other than that we had a fantastic time!

We picked the perfect venue for our son and daughter in love’s After Rehearsal Dinner. It is close to the wedding venue, New Living Waters. Lydia has provided a relaxing, comfortable and beautifully decorated home. It has everything you need to host an event. We also had a bridal tea and bouquet bar. It was so much fun. Look no further than here for a large family weekend or events.

This was our first visit to the Lake Martin area and we were in town for an Auburn football game. Lydia was a great host. The home was clean and had accommodations for multiple families. The house has its own private dock and the lake is just steps away from the back door. The kids enjoyed swimming in the lake and taking the kayaks out for a spin. For those coming to the Auburn area for a football game, this house is about a 35 minute drive to campus and is a great alternative for those looking for space rather than cramming into a hotel in Auburn proper on a game day weekend. Plus, you can’t beat the lake! We really enjoyed our time, and if we find ourselves in the area again, we will seek out this property before looking elsewhere.

This property was all that was advertised and more. In the fully stocked kitchen there was even a separate ice maker and a trash compactor. The robo-vac helped with the crumbs from the two year old. The beds were comforable. Even the pillows were top-notch. The kids loved the hidden room with the bunk beds. An impressive variety of games. And lets not forget the views of the lake! Would definitely love to stay here again.

Our family of 14 was very comfortable in this home. The Home was immaculately clean, and well stocked with all the necessities. The beds were so comfortable and the sheets were extra nice! Since this is the owners home, there is a warm and inviting feeling throughout.! there is plenty of yard for children to play and it is just steps away from the lake. Lydia Staples was wonderful to work with and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. The only thing I would give warning Of is that if you plan to rent a boat, the closest marina is 45 minutes away by water And unless you are very familiar with the lake, this can be quite a challenge to navigate. Other than that, our stay was absolutely perfect! We will 100% be staying at the Staples again in the future!

We were there for Auburn graduation. The lake was a perfect getaway from the crowds and provided space for us to be together. Our family was there from 4 states and enjoyed the spacious kitchen and multiple places we could share a meal and just visit.
