Property is what it is advertised-old farmhouse on a great piece of land. If you are looking for new this is not the place but if you want character, this is it. The house has plenty of bedrooms and a nice large dining room table. Outside is the real gem. The patio with the grill and ponds nearby is the place to hang out all day. Swimming in the big pond or catching frogs in the other ponds is fun for all ages. It is a great place to just relax and enjoy your family and the Vermont views.

My family and I had such a great time vacationing here. The property is amazing for full on adventure.
The Kitchen was large enough for multiple people to work together. The large mud room kept two of our furry family members out of the house to dry from swimming. The children played so hard running up and down the hills, catching dragonfly’s, frogs, salamanders and fish. Cooking on the open fire and watching movies on a projector and just enjoying ourselves.
This is a great house for active, outside, unfussy relaxation.
We will be back.

The land and location are fantastic. Tons of outdoor space for games, swimming, sitting in the sun or shade. Very private with visits from area wildlife (groundhogs, frogs, bats, heron, etc) The house is big and open. It is an old farmhouse so expect uneven floors and a few spiders. But lots of storage for food, gear, and your family. We had fun playing games on the screen porch, drinking coffee around the large kitchen table, and visiting nearby golf courses, shopping, and a gem of an area called Memorial Park that had a playground, large swimming pond and gorgeous rocky stream for wading. Drawbacks were that the beds were not great except in the master, and overall the house could use a deep clean to keep up with those cobwebs and grit that repeated rentals track in. But our group of 15 had a wonderful time overall.

The house had everything you need to have a great stay! So much room and the land itself was beautiful. My family had an excellent time!

We really enjoyed our stay and my grandson (1.5 years old) really liked the pond. Our dogs loved it also. The patio provided shade for afternoon sitting and there was plenty of room for all 7 of us. Keep in mind this is an old farmhouse, we had a mouse help himself to our bagels. Loved the old farmhouse charm but a few appliances need a little work. Appreciated the quiet of the property while still being near some nice restaurants and a good grocery store.

We loved the property. We liked the house, kitchen appliances and outdoor grill could stand to be updated. That being said, we would stay at this property again.

Loved this cozy farmhouse and property and surrounding area
This house was perfect for our first getaway since Covid began. It was cozy with all the comforts of home and then some. We especially enjoyed the view with the ponds. House has a nice central location for visiting other charming towns: Grafton, Manchester, Dorset. Loved Ungrounded Coffee’s Maple Lattes, Honeypies burgers, the Vermont Butcher Shop, Craft beer store next to Ungrounded, apple picking and warm cider donuts at Mad Tom orchard, visiting Mimi and the animals at Taylor Farm, the farmers market in Londonderry Sat morning was chock full of great vendors, especially the cheese king of Vermont!
The fire pit and grill area was perfect for cooking our steak from the Vermont Butcher shop even in the drizzly rain. Thank you Nick for offering your farmhouse. We will definitely return.

Peaceful Retreat
My family of 5 and our black lab thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It is a beautiful location with three ponds for catching massive frogs, swimming, fishing and paddle boarding. We had a couple of days of rain during our stay and explored the surrounding towns a little. The farmhouse has updated kitchen appliances, wifi worked well, and my kids loved the two tv's for watching different programs in the evenings.

The Perfect Family Getaway
Our extended family rented this property for a birthday celebration. The weekend that we spent there was nothing but rainy weather but it didn’t matter! The house is cozy yet has plenty of room for everyone! We stayed busy on the property during the breaks in weather, fishing, canoeing and just enjoying the atmosphere! We would definitely like to go back again. The property seems to be perfect for any time of year whether mid winter or mid summer! The hosts were extremely gracious and easy to communicate with!

Great for Families
A comfortable big farmhouse with a swimming pond and space for all. Private with modern conveniences including Wifi.
Plenty of towels and supplies. Fun for all including well behaved dogs!! The owner is very receptive and helpful. The pool table adds to the fun. South Londonderry is great for grocery shopping, bank and pharmacy. The Vermont Country Store is 20 minutes away. Swim, fish, paddle in the pond. Enjoy the country.

Amazing House and Property
We had a fabulous time and thoroughly enjoyed everything about this house. Plenty of bedrooms and space for everyone to find their niche. Loved the well equipped kitchen and farmhouse table to enjoy our meals. Loved the outdoor grill and patio too! The property is amazing. Even though it was early spring (mud season), we loved walking around the ponds and our dog loved jumping right in. Location is a perfect jumping point to visit Woodstock, Brattleboro, Manchester and all of Southern Vermont. We did get in some spring skiing, and the hiking and biking in the area was great too. Loved reading the historic guest book and all the great stays people have had at the farmhouse. Looking forward to going again someday!

Ski house reunion
What a fabulous few days we had. The farm is fabulous for a group. The property and setting is gorgeous. The funky old farmhouse is super comfortable, warm & toasty and complete breath of fresh air compared to all the fancy over-priced boujee McMansions throughout the area. (However, there is great WiFi, terrific kitchen appliances compared to other rentals I’ve been in, a pool table, and really soft sheets). The kids skied all day at Bromley, Magic, & Stratton, then went sledding when we came home till after dark. Mimi, the nice woman who helps to maintain the VRBO, stopped by and graciously invited us to visit her down the road at Taylor Farm. she said the kids would love the animals. We never did make it due to all our skiing. Thanks, Mimi! Next time! And there Will Be a next time. Ellen D.

Wonderful family retreat
Came up for a long weekend with extended family (nieces and nephews) for a family retreat. Wonderful stay. This is an old family farmhouse on acres of rolling land. It was perfect for a winter stay to be close and catch up with everyone. Big kitchen, close to skiing, cozy and well appointed. You won't feel like you are in a generic rental- you will like you are a guest in someone's family vacation home. Plenty of bedrooms and areas for people to peel off to. I rented snowshoes (from a ski shop 5 minutes away) and hiked right out the backdoor . And the caretaker- Mimi- was just great and super responsive. Hoping to be back next winter!

Large property with a lot of history
A very cozy house with incredibly nice hosts. Jake Burton who invented the snowboard and Burton brand has lived in this house in the 70s. The house has a sauna and a fireplace. There is also a pool table.

Great escape!
We really enjoyed the expansive property and the very spacious home. The grounds are just beautiful. We even had a couple visits from a mama bear and 3 cubs! Lots to do in the area but we also enjoyed just relaxing by the ponds and fire pit too. Thank you for a great stay!

Beautiful and peaceful property
We have spent our 5 day summer gateway on this beautiful farm . We had a group of 17 people , families with kids ages 8 to 15. Everybody had so much fun! There are little ponds on the property that you can swim or paddle board in .There is a grill and fire pit outside . Farm is located close to Stratton village or Bromley Mountain and gorgeous Gale Meadow Pond where we had spent a day paddle boarding and kayaking. The house itself has lots of place to sleep , there is a pool table and fireplace , well equipped kitchen, screened porch where u can sit in case of rain. It definitely has that farmhouse character. Make sure you check out the stars at night ! Unreal! We will definitely come back here.

All the Peace and Quiet you need!
Wonderful farm house with lots of room for family and friends. Beautiful property in a beautiful part of VT. We loved that it was quiet and spacious, but close to the ski resorts and the pretty little town of Manchester. Owner is super attentive and easy to work with. Will definitely stay here again!

Lovely Classic Ski Lodge
We had a wonderful stay at Spring Hill Farm! The home provides ample space and lots of great amenities. We loved the huge wood burning fireplace, sauna, billiards table and large eat in kitchen. The two bathrooms were well-appointed. The home has a beautiful property and is conveniently located near restaurants, Stratton and not far from Bromley. The property manager and owner were responsive and made check in and check out a breeze. The plow guy came promptly and shovels were provided for us to dig out our cars. Would love to stay again!

Would be five stars
The property and the house is amazing, it was even snowing so this give the house the magic of fairy tale.
We were really big group and we all fit very comfortably.
Why is not five stars, it was not really cleaned before our arrival, might be just one time, on the end it was Christmas time.

Memorial Day weekend At Springhill Farm
Wonderful place to be far from the madding crowd. Big place so one can have own time or get together with everyone sharing the place. Near golf courses, shopping, and has great grounds with a big pond good for canoeing, fishing etc. More pros than cons at this place. The only cons, were the deteriorated grill and lack of firewood for the fire pit. All in all I give it four stars.

wonderful place for relaxing in summer
My husband and I and our two big dogs just finished a week here at Spring Hill Farm and we will definitely be back.
Nick, the owner, was responsive and easy to deal with, and Mimi, the caretaker, was also totally accomodating.
The house is big - plenty of room to spread out. Furnishings are comfortable, which is great for a rental (we've been in some houses where the couches just make you ache), although they have been well-used. This is not a designer house; this is where you go to relax. There are plenty of windows so the house is bright and cheerful.
Kitchen was well-equipped; appliances all in good repair, pots and pans well-worn but good enough.
We only used one of the seven bedrooms but the mattress was terrific, again, a plus for a rental house.
The property is just wonderful; the areas around the house are kept mowed, but there are just the perfect number of maple trees to provide shade and a lovely appearance. The largest pond is GREAT for swimming; the little 'beach' area means there's no farm pond mud to wade through! Wooded areas around the place mean there is complete privacy.
We made use of the sauna several times during our stay - it's a real plus.
The house is easy to get to without being on a busy road. We found the nearby IGA to be very well-stocked, and there are options for going out to eat in all directions. Beer aficionados take note: there is a wonderful beer store just a few minutes away. Manchester and it's outlets are a short hop away, as are wonderful hiking trails.
If you're looking for granite countertops and Viking ranges, this is not the place. If you and your dogs like running in & out without a care, then definitely try this house.
oh - and the pool table - it rained one day and we spent a good while being laughably bad at pool. Who'd have thought it would come in so handy?

Four seasons of fun
We've stayed at Spring Hill with a group of friends and our dogs over several Xmas-New Year's weeks. It's a wonderful place for a winter get-away: downhill skiing right around the corner at Stratton and Bromley, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing right out the door, as well as at several excellent cross-country skiing centers and on the catamount and other trails in the area. It's just a short hop to Manchester if you like to shop, and lots of great, small farmstands for local cheeses and other lovely items (we are HUGE fans of Taylor Farms). Lots of room for folks to spread out, and the property is very private (the house is well back from the road, with a brook between the property and the road - very nice for keeping the dogs contained!)
Great place to stay in the Summer and Fall, too.

The Best Place for a Wedding
My husband and I chose Spring Hill Farm to host our wedding last summer. We picked mid July for the weather and the best place to have a wedding. We couldn't have been happier and our friends and family fell in love with the place. It was romantic, private, and Nick is very accommodating, helpful, and communicative. Beautiful garden around the house, old apple trees, wildflowers, a creek, a pond, sauna, tons of room for guests and revelers. The beautiful barn, and bridge over the creek are great backgrounds for photos. You just can't go wrong if you are looking for a picturesque and serene atmosphere. Very private, no loud noise from the road and the neighbors are very friendly. Close to the town and an all around wonderful place to celebrate. The kitchen had lots of utensils and seemed well used. The house is well kept and it has that farmhouse, knick knack, things un-matching kind of feel.
