the location was excellent, lots of stunning areas were within easy reach. the welcome items left by the hosts were a lovely touch.

View, tea, coffee, milk which all adds up to a lovely gesture when a person arrives to be able to relax and get one's bearings.

Next to road, so some traffic sound and unable to sleep with single bedroom window open for traffic in morning. The to and fro of vans driving past living room window from 8am till 8pm.

All the extra touches were much appreciated. The dog treats, wine and cake!

Stairs were very creaky…was worried we would be disturbing those next door!

Amazing landscapes, we were lucky with the weather and enjoy the outdoors! There’s everything you need inside the house for cooking in, for entreating, etc .. was lovely to have some wine from the owner and some amenitie too.

We understand that was a property with pet allowance, but, you don’t expect to be in dog smelly home/ and, always try to be careful where you sit in the carpet with the children to play , to not ending full of dog hair . Tried to hoover and was even worst . We bought some candles to make the stay a bit more comfortable when we stayed in the kitchen/ living room area .

No doubt this is a lovely and peaceful location for walkers, ramblers or cyclists - but this is a also a particularly convenient location for anyone (like us) travelling by car who wishes to be just a few minutes' drive away from shops and interesting places to visit in the area (e.g. Hebden Bridge, Piece Hall). It was lovely to meet and have a brief chat with the owner (Helen) who obviously makes sure that every facility is catered for ... which it was!

What's not to like? Mind you, if you are above average height, you would have to keep your head down near the bedroom windows (suitable warning signs are in place). Fortunately, my wife and I are both quite short - so it didn't bother us - and if you do manage to hit your head ... you were forewarned in any case!

This property was home from home to us. It was so clean and comfortable and had everything we could want, and more. It is very quiet and peaceful with a lovely view and is a lovely place to recharge your batteries. Also, Helen is the nicest person you could ever meet.
