Lighthouse View Cottage
Lighthouse View in Southwold ist ein komfortables und einladendes Ferienhaus für vier Personen mit zwei Schlafzimmern. Dieses frühviktorianische Cottage liegt am St. James 'Green im Herzen dieser attraktiven Küstenstadt. Von der Haustür sind es nur wenige Meter bis zur Promenade und zum Meer.
Lighthouse View bietet nicht nur eine hervorragende Urlaubslage, sondern Southwolds Wahrzeichen, der Leuchtturm, steht direkt über der Mauer des Hinterhofs des Cottages. Der voll funktionsfähige Leuchtturm ist von der nahe gelegenen Stradbroke Road aus zugänglich und an bestimmten Tagen für Besucher geöffnet, die auf die Spitze klettern und die herrliche Aussicht genießen möchten. Kinder (und vielleicht auch Erwachsene) werden am Abend vom sanften Rotieren der Lichter des Leuchtturms fasziniert sein.
Parkplätze stehen in unmittelbarer Nähe kostenlos zur Verfügung. In der Tat können Sie Ihr Auto bei der Ankunft parken und es während Ihres gesamten Aufenthalts nicht mehr benutzen.

Super in every repect. Stayed here for several years now. Always one word of warning for the elderly and infirm, the we stairs are very steep. Care is needed. Other than that, superb. I think I'll be going for a few years yet, hopefull. Always take some warm clothing !!

All was good with the cottage and our host.
Our break was badly let down with communication with VBRO. We contacted them 3 times regarding an issue with the TVand received replies saying ‘sorry something went wrong at our end’ . This is not good enough and makes me reluctant to use VBRO in the future. Kath

Perfect little cottage in the middle of Southwold. Everything on our doorstep so easy to nip in and out as we wished. Our dog loved it too, short stroll to the beach for zoomies 😄. Would definitely consider staying here again for a relaxing break.

Lovely cosy cottage just steps away from the beach and close to a nice pub and the Adnams brewery. The bath in the main bedroom is a nice touch.

We had a day in Southwold a couple of years previous and wanted to come back for longer. This cottage was perfect! only a short walk from the beach and the town centre. We really couldnt ask for any more.
Only negative (If any) is the fight for a parking spot. But worst case, there's always parking available on the front withour restrictions. So its a case of park there and wait for the opportunity to move your car closer later on.
But all in all, one of the most relaxing holidays we've ever had. We will be back

Really quaint cottage,very cosy,very well equipped....Could not fault it.....Just idyllic for us.Location to Seafront & beach ...mins away,shops&cafes nearby.....Ease of booking and communication from hosts was very professional...I guess yes the stairs are steep so good to be aware if limited mobility or issues of this nature,otherwise just 'Perfect'.

Alot of love has gone into this cottage and it is a home from home .Great location in the centre of Southwold right in front of the lighthouse. Its quaint with a modern shower and bath .Great beds and towells .Spotlessly clean and well equipped with a lovely small courtyard which was great for our dog .We would definitely stay here again .

A lovely little cottage located on a quiet green just 1 minute walk from the beach. Ideal for our off-season week of walking, eating and relaxing. Good plumbing, good wifi and efficient, responsive owners.

Fabulous Southwold
We love Southwold in the winter, and Lighthouse View is a great base for getting the most out of this beautiful town. The cottage is beautifully appointed and very well equipped. Russell was excellent with communication, and the location is just brilliant - whether you want to benefit from being a stone’s-throw from the beach, in and amongst the pubs and restaurants or easy access to the walks to the harbour, Walberswick and beyond

We were pleasantly surprised to find that all our needs had been met. The kitchen was particularly well stocked with crockery, pans and many other things that we thought we may have needed.

Wonderful little cottage BUT be warned.....exceedingly steep stairs. We are ok with these at present although there will come a time when we can not manage them!
Incredible state of the art tech. such as TV. Shower. Internet. heating systems etc.

Perfect location
Had the most fantastic week at this property. Close to the beach and all amenities especially as I'm disabled was able to get out on my scooter without any difficulty.
Would recommend and also stay again if I were to go back to Southwold.

Quaint Cottage, central location
Lovely cottage in the middle of Southwold. Really enjoyed our stay and the property was exactly as advertised. Very accessible to the town centre. We appreciate extra cleaning and sanitising is required but having travelled so far would have been nicer to get in earlier if the cleaning was completed as 6pm is quite late

Great location and lovely for dog walking on beach (September- April). V small house but warm. Stairs v narrow & bathroom small, but everything you need. Good communication with Russell.

Charming cottage in perfect location.
Perfect location in the centre of Southwold, only yards from the beach.
Cottage was very well equipped with a superb shower and great wi-fi, appeared to have been recently redecorated to a high standard.
Our only gripe was that the sofas were in poor repair and very uncomfortable. Having spoken to the owner I understand that they are due to be replaced at the end of this month, not much consolation to us as unfortunately we had a very wet week and so used them more than we normally would.
With sofas sorted would definitely have been a 5*.

We enjoyed our stay in Lighthouse View very much. It is so close to everything, beautiful beach and promenade to the Pier, pubs,shops, restaurants and of course the famous Adnams. The cottage is comfortably equipped and the Victorian bath in the main bedroom was extra special. You just need to be able to negotiate steep stairs to second floor.Thank you Russ and Sue. Stunning views of the Lighthouse and sea make this cute cottage exceptional.
We enjoyed our stay in Lighthouse View very much. It is so close to everything, beautiful beach and promenade to the Pier, pubs,shops, restaurants and of course the famous Adnams.

Restful
We loved our 2nd stay at your property and felt that your Covid preparations were good. We have already booked for next year. The only complaint is that, while we appreciate that a lot of things had to be removed, we could have done with a strainer for pasta, veg etc.

1st visit
Quaint little cottage , perfectly situated between the beach and cafe’s/shops for my elderly parents to do their own thing independently. Plenty of walks & things to do in Southwold , a lovely relaxing week.

Great location, very clean. Shame we had to cut our break short by a day due to Corona procedures as the other companies don’t require the additional day.

Lovely long weekend
We really enjoyed our long weekend in Lighthouse View cottage in Southwold. The cottage is perfectly situated for the town and for the beach. The cottage has everything you would need. We would not hesitate to book it again for future visits to our favourite corner of England. We did a tour of the Adnams Brewery which is only a two minute walk away. We also visited Snape and went to a performance at the Maltings.
