Fischen oder schwimmen Sie im Teich, radeln oder wandern Sie auf den Wegen. Legen Sie sich nachts in den Whirlpool und beobachten Sie die Sterne am kristallklaren Himmel. Es gibt zahlreiche Tierarten, darunter Falken, Eulen, Sumpfschildkröten, Flussotter und Graureiher, um nur einige zu nennen.
Es gibt zwei Decks, eines ist überdacht und liegt zum Teich und das andere auf einer Wiese mit 250 Jahre alten Eichen. Die Kinder können auf den angrenzenden Wiesen ein Zelt aufschlagen und die Wälder und Bäche erkunden, während Sie in der Hängematte zwischen den Eichen liegen.

The house was exactly what we expected. My husband had a great time exploring the trails. Am wondering the property. Wish it hadn’t snowed on us though but was beautiful to see. We’d love to return to this property in the summer to see it at a different time. There were 5 of us along with two dogs a still plenty of room a beds. Plus we had company from other family that lives in willits. Would w been nice not to have to lea e at 330am but overall we truly enjoyed our stay. We did have gate problems that when I called Art he fixed right away. So he was very helpful a nice. We did run into a neighbor on the single road after the gate an had a small issue of trying to get around but was an easy fix. Thanks for letting us use your home. We hope to be able to do it when it’s warmer.

This is a peaceful and wonderful comfy house in the woods. It is off grid, and we had a lovely time maintaining a fire, going for walks, playing games, watching movies, and overall detaching from the world. It is quiet and beautiful, we'll definitely come back again!

The only sounds you could hear from the property were the natural sounds of the woods. No other property within 66 acres of woodlands, and almost none withing 3 miles. Just a lovely place for a small family vacation.

The property is beautiful and the house was lovely. We had plenty of room and the outside area was so wonderful for our dogs to play and explore. They especially loved the pond. There was a hiking trail and a deserted road for walking. Art was great about responding to questions before we arrived and check in was easy. I would definitely stay here again.

Art was super nice and helpful! The property was gorgeous with redwood trees all around it and the house was fully stocked with anything you need kitchen and laundry wise. We swam in the pond and it felt surprisingly clean even though it’s a pond. Long drive in with gravel parts, but fun nonetheless! Lots of activities to do around the house such as frisbee golf, hot tub, rope swing, and hiking trails to name a few! The wifi worked perfectly and you could stream movies on the tv easily. Overall loved our stay!

What a magical space! We did a last minute Easter visit and our family ranging from babies to grandparents had a wonderful time. The house was beautifully clean and had many of the small items(baby gate, highchair) that make traveling with little kids so much easier. The property itself is stunning, our kids spent everyday outside playing by the creek or the large meadow & play structure. We already want to go back when all the flowers start blooming!

Me and 11 friends had planned a trip Tahoe to celebrate my upcoming wedding, but when the weather had other plans (during the crazy March storms) we booked this cabin instead as a safer option. The hosts were so kind to go check on the property beforehand to make sure it was safe to get to. The property is pretty remote, and on a gorgeous plot of land. It was well stocked, had beds for everyone, as well as 2 common spaces and a stocked kitchen. The hosts were available by text when we had questions and very kind. I definitely hope to return!

I have rented a lot of places over the years. But this one is definitely unique sad stands out. Complete isolation with acres of private serene nature all yours to enjoy. We were 5 adults and 3 teens had an amazing time. Communication with the owner was really good,

We had such a lovely time here. It ended up being pretty rainy while we were there, but the wood burning stove and the hot tub kept us nice and cosy. We all did several hikes around the property (beautiful redwoods and oaks, lots of ferns, moss and mushrooms, and the creek running right by the house). The kitchen is really well equipped: we made several great meals. We had 6 adults and 3 teens, plenty of sleeping space for all. Overall a great spot, I'd be happy to go back again.

The owners of this home have created an amazing off-grid escape. We felt a million miles away despite the fact that Willits is only about 6 miles down the road. The clarity of the pond (the water is irrigated) was an incredible bonus. My dog would have been in heaven either way but my kids and I loved feeling clean and refreshed after our swims. The yard is amazing with lovely, soft grass and heaps of space. The kitchen is definitely dated but has everything you need. The downstairs bedroom is incredibly comfortable and my teenagers had no complaints about the upstairs beds so I gather they were also comfortable. The whole place has a wonderfully serene feeling and I wish we'd had longer than four days.

We had a family get together here for 3 nights. If you bring everything you need with you, it's easy to step out of the world for a few lovely days. Hiking trails right out the door, spacious decks for hanging out, 2 disc golf baskets, creek, pond, quiet. All of us were sad to check out and are already talking about a return visit.

The property was an utter treat, the location is tranquil, verdantly and restful. The home amenities provide all you need, even if of another time. The beds were super comfortable and the linens were handsome and cozy. There are no jets in the hot tub, but we did not miss them at all...the location makes up for it. In fact, jets would have taken away from the sweet sounds of nature. Personally, I don't think the pictures on VRBO do the place justice. It feels far more expansive than the pictures show. Look for the shy turtle in the pond!

we enjoyed our time here. the first day was cold and rainy, but there was PLENTY of wood for us to use in the wood burning stove. the sunny days were lovely and so very quiet. Lots of little salamanders and lizards and we heard owls and frogs. a good spot for a family to spend some time away from the city.
only downside was the water ran out on our last day. we don't use a ton of water, but we cooked and washed a lot of dishes. the owners were attentive and the instructions were good. the locks are a little tricky.

Almost the last home on the road. Very secluded, and private. The deer family own the property, you could almost walk up and feed them. Very nice home with lots of room, comfy beds. A piece of paradise. Thanks for sharing your home.

We went as a large family and the cootage was very spacious and well furnished. We enjoyed everything from hiking to the hot spa to watching stars and BBQ dinners in the back porch.

I was very impressed that this cottage is completely off the grid for electricity and water. (Electricity is completely solar with generator back up, water is through a local spring)
No cell coverage, but yes internet! It all worked out pretty well
Be prepared to take all your food needs with you - while it is a 20 min drive to town, its a waste of time, while you are at this cottage getaway

Fantastic place
We had a wonderful stay at this property. The surroundings are absolutely gorgeous, including a little pond that one can swim in (it was a little on the cold side but my 11 year old managed :). The house itself has a lot of character and very comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped, showers are hot and powerful, and beds are nice. I could nto recommend this enough, and we will be back!

Just as described. This is like having a nature preserve to yourself. The house is lovely, too. Just be prepared for the fact that you're 20 minutes from town, and about 90 minutes from the coast. If you're good just enjoying all the property has to offer, and/or don't mind driving to do other things, this is a great spot. The owner was responsive and helpful as well.
