We were able to walk to restaurants, shopping and Hot Springs Spa from the house. Nice views of the fall colors and a great front porch for relaxing. The dining room table was perfect for an evening of games.

Unfortunately, we had to cancel our reservation due to the home not being cleaned from the prior guests. We had to scramble to find alternatives for our stay.

Our family rented this house for a cozy place to stay for our wedding weekend in Hot Springs and it was great!! The host is super sweet and proactive and the location is great!

The property is in the center of the town and easy accessible. The house itself and appliances as well as rooms, kitchen looked older than they were seen in the advertised picture. The max occupancy listed as 8. We rented for 2 and when we arrived the upstair access was locked. The first floor was kind of smelling moldy. I understand there was a $60 additional charge for more than 2 people staying. But I would rather paid $60 extra and stay in the upstairs room if the ad said you will not be allowed upstairs if you rent it for two people. We renter for two nights but we only stayed for a night because it was kind of smelling mold on the first floor. When we checked in, the neighbor came to inform us her brother will need to come and change the air filter and he did.

Loved our stay at Dorland Cottage. Great size, clean, & comfortable. Very convenient location (short walk) to everything in Hot Springs. Would stay here again!

This house is a great place to relax after hiking the Appalachian Trail! We section hiked the trail around Hot Springs and enjoyed all the bars and restaurants downtown. All were just a short walk from the house!!

Second trip to this cottage. Clean, roomy, has everything you need. Can walk to restaurants and shops. We enjoyed the roomy shaded front porch.

The Dorland cottage was everything we needed for the perfect vacation in Hot Springs. Big and spacious and right in the center of town! Close enough to walk to shops and food! The only complaints I would have are a reach… Wi-fi was a little spotty but that’s to be expected in that area. The upstairs bedrooms got pretty hot during the day but they cooled down at night. We didn’t have the air on because we had beautiful spring weather. The floors were visibly clean but didn’t seem like they were mopped prior to our visit, not a huge deal! Owner Melanie installed a new microwave for us so we didn’t have to go without one! Melanie was super nice and accommodating! she helped with trash pick up and helped with a few items left behind after our stay. Would definitely recommend this property and would definitely stay again!

Great location right on Main Street.

We love Hot Springs, and this cottage matches the demeanor of the town perfectly. It was so nice to sit on the porch and watch the thru-hikers pass by. Can’t wait until our next stay.

The stay was absolutely perfect for what we wanted in our trip to Hot Springs! Walking distance to all of the best spots in town! The house was exactly as described and Melanie did a great job comminicating with us. I highly recommend!

House was clean and well maintained. The owner was super helpful and caring. She even gave us some tips about the town. Would have been nice to add on the description that there is only 1 shower out of the 2 bathrooms.

This is a quite spacious home right in town of Hot Springs. You can not beat the location. The home was very clean and tidy, nestled in between two churches. It was a nice stay for our family while we visited and attended a wedding.

If you are staying in Hot Springs this is the place be.

The AC worked great. The communication was good. The house is old and in need of updates and repairs. The location is good but the trucking and motorcycles off of front porch was loud and not relaxing. We had higher expectations and were unfortunately disappointed.

Although an older home, it is well kept and nicely decorated. My only complaint was that I think area an the back porch should be allocated for wet clothes. With the Spa and tubing many guests will need a place to put wet clothes.

This house was perfect for us. We were all raised in a small town - and this house was like going home. As siblings we get together at least once per year to hike together. We will stay here again!

This house is spectacular!! Everything we need for 4 independent adults. Location could not have been better ! Such a clean and nice house ! We can’t wait until our return in a October!! Hoping this gem will be available!!
