A week’s stay in a well purposed vacation home. It for us perfectly. 5 minute walk to a quiet, family beach. The house had all the necessary beach items for a fun stay! Highly recommend

Our group was 4 families: 7 adults and 6 children. We had plenty of room, something for everyone — exploring the lagoon, swimming in the pool, or playing pool inside. We especially liked the screen porch, the well stocked kitchen and of course the pool

The shaded pool was a hit, ie less sunburn worries. We had grandkids along ages 2, 4, 8, 10. The owner is local and available by text and so everything works, kitchen has what you expect it to have. We also paddled the kayak in the canal out to lake Tecumseh. The shed is well stocked with beach stuff. To keep the two yr old safe, the trick was to block the top of the stairs by sliding a ocean wave riding body board thru the verticals. Bottom line, I liked dealing with the owner instead of some reality service.

Our group enjoyed spreading out in the numerous bedrooms, and the multiple bathrooms were helpful on several occasions. We loved getting to all sit down at the table together. FYI... We quickly ran out of tp, so make sure to bring extra if you have a big group.

Outstanding property and amenities. The layout of the house can easily accommodate a large group of people without feeling crowded. The kayak and bikes were so nice to have access to without incurring an extra fee. The pool table was in constant use. Everyone that came over complimented this house compared to where they were staying. The host was very responsive and accommodating to inquiries. Truly an exceptional property and location.

Communication with Greg was great! We were able to get into the property early. Plenty of room to socialize with family. Didn't get to use the pool due to a cold windy weekend but it appeared clean. Location was close to beach and very quiet. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Would absolutely recommend this property.

The house was amazing, the pictures do not do it justice. The location was great, it was far away from the hustle and bustle of towns but yet close enough so you don't have to drive forever to find someplace to shop or eat. The walk to the beach was short. My family loved that we were on the canal and could row to the lake. We will definitely considered this for our next Easter/Spring break trip!

First time in VA beach ever and it was for my birthday weekend. Despite not having the best weather, we had a blast! The house was even nicer in person and that’s saying something because the pictures were great. It was like our own private paradise. The owner Greg was awesome and laid back. We didn’t have to reach out to him during our stays but when we had previously communicated, he was quick to respond. I would love to go back when the weather is nicer and we can use the pool and enjoy the boat & kayak more! Overall, a great stay!

We stayed here for a small family gathering to host a bridal luncheon. Greg was easy to communicate with and stopped by to make sure we had what we needed and give us extra info on places to go, kayaking the canal and walking to the beach. House was very clean and well stocked even with baking items like cupcake pan and juicers. It was an easy 5 minute walk to the beach, but we really enjoyed sitting out back and watching the turtles in the canal. A spiral staircase connects the floors but a wide outdoor staircase up to the second floor right to the kitchen was convenient for carrying everything in. The screened in porch was great with comfortable furniture! Greg was flexible with check in and out times which was wonderful. I would definitely stay again!!

We had a fabulous stay! This was one of the nicest Vrbo rentals ever. The host was extremely attentive and gracious. Everything was as described. We had 4 generations and enjoyed the pool, the billiards, the well-stocked kitchen, the lagoon and of course the beach. The beach is one of the prettiest beaches and only a 5 minute walk. Super clean house, quiet, absolutely perfect. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful week in Sandbridge at this beautiful house. Greg was so helpful, accommodating, and supplied so much. The dock proved to be a constant source of entertainment for all the kids who loved catching fish and turtles. It was a quick 5 minute walk to the beach and the provided beach cart made taking everything over so easy. Thank you so much for offering such a wonderful retreat!

The Sandbridge Water Lovers retreat was a good fit for our 4 generation family vacation. We enjoyed the pool. Short walk to the pretty sandbridge beaches and the ocean and a canoe on the lagoon. The kitchen was nice and generally well equipped. Everything was clean. We enjoyed the screen porch and decks too. Thr owner was very accessible by phone. The rental is ina quieter residential part of Sandbridge.
I rated accuracy of listing a 4 for 2 reasons. The listing said a kayak and a john boat and it was actually a canoe and a johnboat. The listing indicsted a baby gate which is accurate however the spiral staircase and the pressure gate do not work together. We made it work for our 18 month old grandson by threading the gste through slats in the railing and pushing the coffee table up against the stairway.
This faciltiy has lots of stairs invluding the aforementioned spiral staircase inside. If you have mobility issues this would not be a good rental for you. Otherwise we would recommend it and would stay there again.

Probably the cleanest and best equipped VRBO I’ve ever stayed in, which has been many. The owners are fabulous and came to clean pool mid week. We will definitely want to stay again. East track to beach and you don’t need to bring chairs as they have very nice ones, much nicer then my own. Plus they have a wagon. We used the boat a lot, and paddle boards. My children of all ages really enjoyed!

Property was just as pictured. It was spacious for all of us and within walking distance to beach access. The waves could be heard in the distance. Even though it was fall with leaves and cool weather, we would have wished the grill was in working condition since we had planned to grill hamburgers and hotdogs as a meal different from holiday cooking. Other than that, everything else was in working condition and comfortable.

We had three families with a total of 7 boys from ages 4-11. We had an awesome time. The kids (and dads) loved playing football in the pool after spending the day at the beach. Perfect set up for 3 families with kids!

Relaxing spot in Virginia beach
The kitchen and dining area were spacious And much enjoyed by the 9 of us. It is a very short walk to the beach and we took advantage of the beach chairs and and a few rode the bicycles.. Greg was a very responsive welcoming host and we appreciated that. The kids enjoyed watching the turtles in the canal and though it was too cold to swim we enjoyed sitting around the pool and took advantage of the grill.

The place is definitely as advertised. We had a great time, 5 min walk tonthe Beach and plenty of eating places within 20min. Small necessary market within 2min. It needs better WiFi. But other than that great place.

The property is in a great location. Close to the heart of Virginia Beach yet far enough away to avoid large crowds. There are plenty of bedrooms to house 5 adults and 6 grandchildren ages 2-9. The kids really enjoyed the pool and fishing in the canal out back. They caught turtles, sunny's and blue gill. We even caught a small catfish. Of course, it was all for fun and we did catch and release. We did not really use the pool table downstairs, but there were cards and games and a puzzle. Fortunately, the weather was perfect every day so we really only used the outdoor activities. The kids also really appreciated the surf & body boards best. Being a large family, it was difficult to find a restaurant that didn't have really long waits( they don't take reservations) unless you went super early, like 5. so we wound up eating in most nights. The kitchen was sufficient. I would have liked a large skillet or griddle to cook large breakfasts and the toaster was duck taped together , but we made due. There was not enough seating in any one area for all of us, so kids had to eat at the bar and the adults ate at the table. Not all of us could fit on the furniture in the living room so 1/.2 of us would have to use the porch which was good except that there was very little light. I like to read and it was difficult to do after sunset. Probably the biggest issue for us was the circular stairs. It was the only stairway inside and for 6 children and 2 seniors, we had to be very careful. It also was not very convenient hauling groceries up. We wound up using the outside stairs to be safe. Greg was immediately available for any issues we had and very helpful when questioned. He also came and cleaned the pool mid week. All in all, we had a good time and would return again. Thank you

This property was a perfect fit for our family. It had everything we needed to have a great time. Greg the owner supplied everything needed for the beach plus bikes canoe and boat to use in the lake. We enjoyed fishing off the dock in the back of the house and watching the wildlife. Very spacious and well kept home.

This stay was beyond our expectations! From the accommodations the owners made during COVID to accommodations themselves. It was everything we needed and wanted. The owner was responsive before the rental started and then when we were there. Can’t say enough about how positive an experience this was.
